WILL NEVER GO BACK. What was supposed to be a relaxing self care day turned into an unpleasant experience. The service was poor, and the owner seemed visibly annoyed. After getting my nails done, I asked to have my eyebrows done and received no response. Instead, staff spoke among themselves in another language while I sat waiting. After about seven minutes of silence, the owner tapped my shoulder and walked into the eyebrow room without explanation. After my eyebrows were done, the owner had her husband cash me out. During checkout, he felt it was appropriate to tell me that I needed to tip two people because two people serviced me something that was already obvious. As a business owner myself, I found it extremely unprofessional and classless to request or demand a tip from a customer. Overall, the experience was uncomfortable and disappointing. First time at Fashion nail and I will not be retuning. Unfortunately, I did not read reviews before going and I was overcharged for subpar gel manicure and pedicure. When I first got there I told the lady that I wanted a regular pedicure and a gel manicure. The pedicurist insisted that I get the callus remover even though I said no multiple times. I gave in and for an extra $17 got the callus remover and a ten minute massage that felt more like five. The place I usually go to has a timer and you know you're really getting a ten minute massage. If that was not bad enough five of my nails have chipped polish even though I have not washed dishes or done anything that would warrant the gel polish to chip especially since I got my manicure yesterday. The only pro is that everyone was nice but I feel like my $100 ($47 for pedicure $37 for gel manicure and $16 tip) went down the drain. Please avoid. read more

Never coming back. Not worth my $40! I came for a dip powder mani on my natural nails. they were taking on multiple customers at a time. A man and woman were alternating my nails as they were doing pedicures for other customers. Which I don't have a problem with as long as I'm being taken care of. They gave me bare minimum service. What should have been a quicker job took way longer because they kept leaving me to do pedicures and they would rush through putting on the dip powder to run back to other customers! There was a point I waiting a long time before they got up and came back to finish because i finally turned my whole body and stared at them, aggravated! THEN they came back to finish. I wonder how long I would have waited if I didn't do that! After finishing, painting and lotion they told me I was done. I can CLEARLY look at my nails and see all the junk from the powder that hardened underneath! It was hard and my nails looked so messy? I said "I'm done"? And he goes "yes! Nice color!" And I'm looking at him confused. How are you a professional and allowing me to leave your establishment with my nails this messy! So I told him no you're not look at my nails. And his excuse was "your nails too small" You can see the length of my nails, they're short but they aren't that short. It's okay if it got a little messy while you were painting due to the length but YOU SHOULD have cleaned them after! Now 3 days later, my nails are CRACKING. I have been going to Fashion Diva Spa for the last 2 years, and have never had a bad experience. I would always ask for Lin, who is excellent and is a very engaging person. The nail salon has had a change in ownership in June 2022, and it is now being run by Lin. All the nail technicians who are there now, are pleasant. Lin ensures they each are as meticulous and thorough as she is. They will not rush service, and they are not going to push services you are not interested in. The nail salon has its share of regular clients - this I know because often people come in and are greeted warmly by Lin and her team. I booked a manicure with this place on class pass. I arrived for the appointment, paid for parking, and was told they don't use classpass anymore. They list 10+ appointments daily here. The man who greeted me said I need to call class pass and see if I can get my points back. They did not offer to help me or honor it. They had at least 3 people there who were free and texting on their phone who could have helped. The man continued to say I need to call class pass. The customer service was AWFUL. I went here on a whim one day for the first time. I came in and when asked what I wanted done, I told the woman that I wanted to remove my acrylic nails, as well get a gel manicure and gel pedicure. She told me that it's $10 to remove my acrylics, to pick a gel color and to go sit in the pedicure chair. The woman who did my nails was very nice but did a half assed job on everything. My pedicure was barely a pedicure, she basically took off the previous gel polish, rinsed my feet (no scrub, no wash, no lotion or anything of that nature) and then painted them with the gel. I was then moved to a manicure table for this woman to do my gel manicure. She did a botched job and tried to cover it up as she went along with more layers of polish. She even nicked me a few times as she cut my cuticles. When she's writing out the receipt, she tells me that since my natural nails were a bit damaged from the acrylic and she had to fix one that broke in the corner by gluing it, that she wasn't going to charge me for fixing it (though I never asked her to fix it, I actually told her to just cut the nail down). I go to wash my hands and come back to a $96 bill. Now I am throughly confused, wth did I get for $96?!! I was told that my half-ass gel pedicure alone was $50, the gel manicure was $36 & then the $10 removal of the acrylics. I explained that the quality of this was definitely NOT worth $96 and that I was NOT paying that amount. The two other employees (a man and a woman) chimed in trying to argue telling me that the price list is posted after I said that the initial lady told me about the $10 acrylic removal & sent me past the price list to pick a color & sit down. The price list posted is NOT in a easily visible spot to customers. From the pedicure chair I was seated in, the price list was not visible AT ALL & the manicure table I was seated in had my back facing the list the entire time. I refused to pay that amount and the most the lady did was take off the $10 acrylic removal from my bill. I was tired of arguing, so I just paid but it definitely wasn't even worth $80 something either. Now here I am, 4 days later with a lumpy gel manicure. One nail already chipped and another is breaking & peeling. Worst first impression! If I could give them no stars, I would. read more

I asked for a simple gel filling and a gel polish manicure the lady doing my nails rushing to close quickly got to work on my nail, then another lady came over and started rubbing my back ( which I did not know that they were going to charge me later on ) because she didn't ask if I like a back rub for $$ she simply started rubbing my back I thought it was part of their job. I've been here before and the pedicures are good. But, I went the other day with my best friend - made appointments for 10AM for two gel manicures - and it was a very unpleasant experience. Since it's White Plains, the parking isn't necessarily the easiest, but at 10:06am, they were calling me asking why I wasn't there yet. I understand the concept of appointments and being on time in order to stay on schedule, but I thought was a bit much considering we were only 6 minutes late. I had SNS on from a previous nail appointment at a different salon, and the woman I got at Fashion Diva (I think her name is Vivian) was huffing and puffing about having to take off the SNS so I could get the gel manicure. On top of that, she was VERY rough with my nails, cutting at least 3 of my cuticles with the drill. I told her it was very painful and she walked away and went into the back room for 5-10 minutes. I asked if I could wait for the woman doing my friend's nails because she was taking her time and kept asking if my friend was okay. Nobody responded to my question about waiting for the other woman, so I was stuck with the grumpy one. My natural nails were very long, and they had been for quite some time. My plan was to keep them that way, but the nail technician while taking off my SNS, literally PULLED my real nail off my thumb. When I asked what she thought was the best solution was (putting a tip on or just cutting them all short and basically starting the growth process all over), the woman could not give me an answer, and I had to repeat it several times in numerous ways just to be told that it would be an extra charge to put tips on the nails that THE NAIL TECHNICIAN had broken. I ended up having to cut them all short and was so unhappy. I also had to re-file most of my nails when I got home because she didn't make them all the same shape or size (some were very sharp, some longer than others). It's a good place, you just need to go to either the woman with short hair or Jeremy, the owner. Nobody else seems to know what they're doing or care enough to listen to their customers. read more

I've been coming here for a few years and I've always been happy- or at least moderately happy at times. This time I've had it. Mika, my normal manicurist has been away and so I saw somebody else for my nails this past time- or should I say three. Every single time I'm there they never turn away clients- and this may seem like a great thing, but when you're calling to see if they have availability and they say yes (or you make an appointment), they WILL Take somebody before you and over book themselves. I was there yesterday for TWO hours for a regular gel manicure- no tips or anything fancy. I've been a very great client (and tipper) and they see me every three weeks or so. Yesterday I had one woman who put the foils on my nails to take off my old gel polish, one woman to file the gel off my nails (which by the way, she massacred. My nails were SO strong before she did that) and one woman who put my gel on. I don't like being shuffled around with three different people- it makes it difficult for tips and annoys me to no end- because it happens almost every time as of recently. The last lady I had was very nice. I left after two hours (half hour after they closed) and this morning at work all of the sudden I look down and two of my nails broke. Of course this was because of all the filing- one of the women were scraping at them. I was so upset and called and went back after work today. The woman who finished my nails was working on someone else and I would've been happy to wait for her but they passed me on to the Nail destroyer. Somebody else put foil on those two nail with the acetone to take it off. Not even five minutes later she took them off and started filing away. I did complain and say I didn't want my nails to become too thin because of yesterday and she said they wouldn't. After destroying them once again I touched my nail once again and they could bend. Great. She didn't want to fix them, she had an attitude about having to fix them in the first place. I've seen her plenty of times and she's always been nice but had never done my nails. As she was about to put the gel base coat on I asked if she could fix my nail shape since them breaking ruined it (which, by the way, she should've just done- my nails are almond shaped and you could clearly see they were ruined). She said yes and made them in between a square and almond shape, I'm not even sure what this is supposed to be, they look horrible. I let her continue because at this point I knew it would be my last time there. I'm very disappointed with this business and I will not be returning. I've seen quite a few people unhappy or annoyed lately as well. Business is going downhill. I'm not a picky person whatsoever, I've let a lot of things that bother me go with this place, but that's over. read more

I've been coming here for about a year...and need to write this review as I'll be moving away from White Plains and will really miss this awesome nail salon! I tried three other places in town and decided this was the regular spot last May. The prices are fair and you get great service for the money. $22 for a pedicure is great! Of course you can pay a few bucks more to get extras. They also take credit cards yay! They remodeled last year and the new chairs are really comfortable. The place is super clean. The staff is very friendly and they take time to get to know their regulars. The people here make this salon a cozy place to visit. The best part is waiting for your nails to dry while you get a few free minutes of shoulder massage! I'll miss this place and hope someone will read this and give them a try! read more

I visited this location for the first and last time today. I've been getting my nails done every month since I was little and I've never had such an appalling experience. I went for a powder manicure with gel overlay and pedicure. Despite asking for a gel overlay repeated and even making it clear I was willing to pay for it, the technician continued to refuse to the point I thought it was best to leave. No point in paying for what you don't want. I'd already observed another customer's wishes being ignored and didn't want to partake. At this point things went downhill. She told me it would be $62 ($50 for the nails and $12 for a massage). Other salons on the same street charge less for a powder manicure and regular pedicure done correctly so I did not want to tip on top of such a pricey bill for a service not done the way I liked. Feeling slightly bullied, I tipped $8 and walked out. However, feeling like this wasn't appropriate business behavior, I returned and asked to tip $4 instead of $8 because I felt bullied into the previous tip. Fashion Diva Spa is the best salon in WP area. They hours are great, opened 7 days a week and open until 8 pm; so perfect for working people. Pedicure comes with 10 minutes massage; spa is recently updated with new stations. Their selection of polish, color gel and powder gel is great and has new and trendy colors. I went with a friend for the Pamper Me Please package - 1 hour massage + mani and pedi. Definitely a deal. The service is very welcoming, and the inside is clean and bright. We were offered tea and taken right away (this was the only place I found in the area to book couples time for a Monday). Massage was inexperienced but decent, and they fit in some hot stone time. The mani/pedi was great and very relaxing. I highly recommend them for nail services. Massage is better at Bertha's in Harrison. I had a Groupon Coupon. I called for an appt and could not understand the person who answered the phone. I tried to book the appointment for a Friday. She said I could not get any Friday appointments....ever....I thought that odd. I walked in to make the appointment and the front desk person was very nice. I booked for a Sunday afternoon. The pedicure was great and the manicure was ok, but was really only nail trimming and polish. Did not soak my hands at all. Just a little trim and shellac polish. The environment is ok. I thought it was tacky from the outside, but inside was a little better. Clean tools that were sterilized and in sealed bags before use. They were opened just before use, so I liked that. Asian music playing in the background gave a relaxing spa like feel, but the bright lighting and contemporary colors cancelled it out a bit. Not sure if I will be back. Street parking has only one hour meters, so it puts pressure on if your service is over one hour. read more

Pushing back cuticles, they put a thin layer of that cheap pink lotion and rubbed it in for 1 minute per leg - that's being generous. Then started putting cotton between my toes as if they were going to start painting them... ) I asked what kind of pedicure are you doing? I thought this came with a massage? They said it does. 2 minute massage .. on the website the basic says it is 30 minutes total. I then told them I wanted a massage. THAT IS WHY I CAME HERE. They totally ignored me.
