What I like about Fashion Tailoring is their location, the large and inviting shop, the fact that they only do alterations, easy communication with the owner, and they are great at what they do. I recently picked up a couple of sleeveless shirts that the owner had altered for me so that the arm holes weren't so large. I've thrown everything but my skivvies at this husband & wife, one-two combo and they've always delivered. From suits to jeans, they've made alterations that enhance and dress the curves only my wife could love (or so I will ignorantly believe)! After conducting my bizness at various tailors up and down the peninsula, Fashion Tailoring has been the only to deliver consistent results. I really dropped the ball and had one night to get the straps on my dress taken up 3 inches. I figured I'd have to try to do it myself, it would take forever and stress me out and not seem worth it. This place is the best! I have been taking both standard hems and also dress alterations for various weddings, formals, etc to Piero and Graziela for several years now. They are both so super nice and they also know the standards of how far a formal dress should fall from the floor. I just brought a bridesmaids dress in last week and they are rushing it to get it done after their vacation! Their prices are VERY reasonable as well. Wonderful for dresses and more intricate tailoring. Great friendly service and super helpful with making sure the garment will look great. I have had several pairs of pants altered, replacing the elastic at the waist, removing zippers, shortening the legs. They have done beautiful work at a reasonable price. These guys are old school, but they are amazing tailors and very friendly and to the point. If they can't do exactly what you want, they will tell you point blank. I am 6"3 with way too long of legs so all the jeans I buy I have tailored here and they have done the extension perfectly. Also, I had all these slacks, suits, blazers, and shirts hand made in Thailand after living there for a year. I was 15 - 20 lbs lighter then than my current weight. They have adjusted the waist on all my pants and widened my jacket. I think the owners are Brazilian and they can shoot the sh*t with the best of them. And, I think they only accept cash. Prices are fair... not on either the high or low side, in my opinion. read more

Fashion Tailoring is fairly priced, the owners are very pleasant, and they've done a perfect job on the four items I've taken in so far - all dress pants. You can't even see the hem on the white pants. They will rush for you at no charge, stay late if you can't get there in time to do a pick up. I had a favorite skirt with an elastic waist that was all stretched out so I had to pin the sides with safety pins whenever I wore it. I brought it to Fashion Tailoring to have a side zipper put in instead of replacing the elastic. Piero did a great job and I'm very happy with the results. I like that this was strictly a tailoring business as opposed to a dry cleaner that does some alterations on the side. Piero and Graziela really know what they are doing. I've now had a total of 4 formal dresses, including my wedding dress, adjusted and fitted by Graziela at Fashion Tailoring. And every time I am completely happy, satisfied, and feel like I got more than my money's worth. Graziela is an expert, and can tell within seconds exactly where and how she needs to adjust the dress. One of the dresses was of lesser quality (and price) and she immediately saw that and explained to me that because of how they had made the seams in the dress, she could only do so much to adjust it. Still, the result was wonderful and now this dress fits better than I expected. She's also always on time, with the dress ready usually a day before she says it will be. For my wedding dress, we did a first adjustment and then she readjusted afterwards when one side didn't fit quite right. This last adjustment was getting close to the wedding date, but she took care of things very quickly and was very helpful. It is always very stress-free for me to deal with both Graziela and Piero, unlike my interactions with other seamstresses in the past. I always look forward to seeing them and interacting with them because they are so friendly. read more

Please be aware, they ruined my daughters prom dress. The hem is totally uneven. goes from dragging floor to up 1/2 off floor. It is suppose to be a small rolled hem. not even sewn in some places. The piece they cut off varies from 1 inch to 1 1/2. sides taken in too tight. Black dress sewn with white thread. Threads hanging all over dress. They made excuses for everything. No resolution. I would highly recommend this place to anyone! Efrat is truly a gem. I just recently brought a bridesmaid dress for some alterations. The work she did was amazing. I felt so comfortable in my dress. She hemmed the bottom of the dress, but worked her magic with the bust area. The dress I received was a little too low cut for my bust. Efrat came up with some creative ideas. Highly recommend. I cannot say enough about how Efrat saved my daughter from a true prom disaster. A longtime customer of the former owners I had only seen Efrat once or twice for simple alterations. When I appeared at her door at around 11AM the day of my daughter's prom she was extremely busy. My daughter had not tried her dress on for weeks. It was a beautiful strapless dress of chiffon and lots of bling on top. It had gone from slightly loose to huge! She was swimming in it. Efrat dropped everything to help us. She measured the dress and had us return an hour later to make sure the measurements were just right. She then proceeded to work on the dress for three more hours. She was incredible! Not only were there many seams to work with and delicate fabric, but she had to remove and reglue many rhinestones. I bought her lunch but she didn't have time to eat it. My daughter's night would have been ruined if not for Efrat. The dress fit like a glove. Efrat was gracious, friendly and professional. The work was beyond excellent.
