When I dropped watch off explained battery isn't the issue. Got a text a few weeks later watch is ready. Picked up asked him what work did they do and again pointed out the battery wasn't the issue. He couldn't explain and had no notes to explain what had been done. Watch worked for couple hours and stopped that night. So far charge was $45 for no one knows what they did. Took watch back to him reviewed everything again and he said he will "check it"!!! Not to be heard from again! Today, January 28 not having heard anything from them stopped at the shop, the assistant who is a kind innocent man pulled the watch and ticket written on it $350!!! I had zero notifications, no one called or texted to ask if it is ok to repair a $200 watch at cost of $350 plus $45 already paid. Assistant called the owner by phone, the guy yelled and screamed at me and ranted on... gave phone back to assistant , the owner showed up and proceeded to yell and shake his finer at me. My contention was why didnt anyone contact me first to ask if it is ok to charge and repair at cost of $395!!! first he said he made a mistake then accused me of lying about receiving text notification. The owner took my watch cussed me out and told me I was as old as my watch while shaking his finger at me. I was yelled at and abused verbally. He opened the back and removed something. The shop is small and staffed only by Chris and his son (I assume it's his son). It's also located in the lobby of a busy office building with lots of foot traffic. Having to be buzzed in to gain entry is their extra security measure. 2) At first, Mr. Kourkoulakos may seem grumpy; even gruff, perhaps. Well prepared to part with it for half the day, I indicated to the man behind the counter my problem and--before I could even ask when it will be ready and for how much--he disappeared in the back. Mouth still open mid a would-be sentence and a bit curious about this approach to customer service, I waited no more than 3.5 minutes. The man re-emerged with my revived watch and charged me ~$12. Mind you, during this time, he was able to serve 3 customers in parallel--me and someone else while addressing questions the other in-store visitor was asking and answering the phone. All this, while looking very casual and not at all rushed (aka, mad skillz). Although I dare hope that the battery lasts a long time, future watch repairs are coming here for sure. A little treat greeting me on my walk back: in that short time, he even managed to switch the date on my watch! Now that's attention to detail!

This was near my work so I decided to give it a shot and I wish I had never gone there. 1. It took my THREE times to even drop it off. Every time I went (during business hours) I was told the repair man was not there so they weren't sure if they could accept it or not. I would be told a specific time to come back (say, "He'll definitely be here on Wednesday afternoon") and every time it was the same deal. 2. Finally, the repair man was there and looked at this small simple clock and said they could simply order a new part and replace it. I was told it would be ready in a week and I'd get phone call. 3. More than a week goes by and I don't hear anything. So I call the store, and am told they haven't been able to fix it yet. Check back in a week. 4. I check back in a week and am told they've had to special order a part -- and they will call me and let me know when it's ready. 5. Fast forward many weeks, still i have heard NOTHING. I finally call them again and am told "oh, we couldn't find the part, we can't fix it." So what happened last time when you told me you had ordered the part? It's now been MONTHS and I could have gotten this taken care of much faster somewhere else. Terrible communication and customer service. Unable to repair a small clock. Don't waste your time.
