The dishes tasted amazing! I ordered pasta carbonara and my partner got the seafood risotto. The staff was super friendly and gave us some great suggestions. We came on a Friday evening; it was a bit busy but still enjoyable with nice music. I would happily recommend it to anyone. Will come back for sure!

Pizza is classic tavern pizza ! It's delicious

Stopped by to pick up some pizzas for the family. My family can be pretty picky, but everyone loved it! The ambiance when I was in there was fun too. All the customers were intermingling, drinking some beers, and telling us first time folk how good the pizza is. Staff was very nice and I'm looking forward to the next time I'm able to stop in and grab a slice!

Easily the best pizza around this area. The owners and staff go out of their way to make sure you have a great experience. My family has been going here since they opened and never had anything less than great food. Try the arancini balls, the chicken parm and the meatballs! Chrissy at the bar will make sure you have a great time!

The chicken parm is to die for! Everything is done the right way here. Cooked with care. It was so good, considering me subscribed , I'm definitely coming back. It's my new favorite local find! Give it a chance and check it out! The people who worked there were super amazing and went above and beyond! So cozyyyy!

Visiting Illinois from California. Staying in Downers Grove and stumbled across Fast Eddys! Ordered a 14" sausage pie. Simply put, delizioso. Light, crispy crust. Beautiful sauce and not greasy at all! The place has a nostalgic, old school feel to it! Called it in prior to arriving. I was greeted by a nice gentleman that was very welcoming and even shook my hand after talking to him for a bit and receiving my pizza from him. Definitely worth a visit.

Small pizzeria in a strip mall. Clean environment and friendly staff. Pizza was cooked well with great sauce flavor and crispy crust. Sauce & toppings spread to the edge of pizza, which you seldom see!

In short, this is now my favorite pizza restaurant after my first time here. We were greeted by our server Michelle who was incredibly nice every moment we were there. We got our drinks, an appetizer of mozzarella sticks, and ordered the 'Paulies Pepperoni Drizzle.' This was truly one of the best pizzas I've ever had, and I don't give a compliment like that lightly. Every aspect of the pizza was perfect; the perfectly crispy tavern style crust, the flavorful homemade sauce, a great blend of cheese, even more flavorful and crispy pepperoni, with the incredible combination of hot honey and fresh crumbles of ricotta to top it off. Then for dessert we had the cannolis which were clearly fresh made as the shell was nice and crispy, rather than some restaurants that serve pre-made cannolis. What really blew us away was Eddy coming out from the kitchen asking everyone how their pizza is. It's obvious he takes great care about the food he makes and that people enjoy it. I could go on quite a bit at how amazing the service and food was, we will most definitely be back soon. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

This place sucks. The food is terrible and the wait is forever. The barmaid/host is annoying.

Today was a good experience. I just worked out and called to ask about the dress code. No dress code, I'll be right there! I walked in and was greeted immediately and sat at the bar. The bartender was attentive and gave me time to decide without feeling rushed even as I changed my mind a couple times. I ordered the salmon and Mad Rose to drink. The drink has a lot going on and wasn't for me. It reminded me of a cinnamon orange tea, citrus and spicy. For dinner, I waffled on a couple fish dishes, but went with the salmon. It has a nice, crunchy glaze on it with some nice citrus flavors that weren't overbearing. I wasn't sure how the risotto would taste with the orange, but it worked. I was asked several times how I was doing and how my drinks and food were. Dining solo, I get ignored at times with subpar service. Not tonight access I appreciate that. I would recommend based on service and the dish I had. I will return to try more.

I ordered from Entourage Downers Grove and was honestly impressed with how well everything held up for delivery. The standout for me was the lobster bisque. It arrived at the perfect temperature, which is pretty impressive for delivery. The bisque was rich and luscious without feeling overly heavy, and the basil oil added a nice brightness that balanced the creaminess beautifully. It also had a generous amount of lobster, including several large chunks, and was a very solid portion overall. The filet mignon sliders were another highlight. Each slider had a substantial piece of filet mignon topped with pickled onions, microgreens, and horseradish cream on brioche buns. The onions and horseradish added enough acidity and bite to balance the richness of the beef without overpowering it. I also tried the Vietnamese summer rolls, filled with roasted shiitake mushrooms, fresh vegetables, and rice noodles, served with both peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce. Everything tasted very fresh, and the sauces complemented the generously stuffed rolls nicely. My only small critique is that cutting them in half made for a prettier presentation, but made them a little awkward to dip and eat. Overall, this was a surprisingly strong delivery experience, and I would absolutely order from them again, or better yet, make it over to the restaurant itself next time I'm in the area.

They have a lot of board games to borrow, pinball machines and multiple TVs usually playing some live sports. The best part about this place though is the staff - we've met the owner a few times when we're in, and have a favorite bartender who always seems to be here when we come. They are absolutely incredible and seem like just good people. For those who become regulars, the Draft Class membership is definitely worth it if you can snag one!

NINETY-NINE BOTTLES OF BEER ON THE WALL…read more This bottle shop in downtown Downers Grove has a myriad of craft options. Prior to last weekend, every time I walked past Orange & Brew the lights were still off (they don't open until noon) so I had no choice but to peer longingly thru the windows into a dark business. I finally stopped in during normal hours with the family in tow on the first Saturday in August. I got a mix-and-match 4pk of IPAs + pilsners for my dad, who has oft complained about the lack of decent brewskis at my house. Well Opa, now you've got a quartet of 16oz craft cans to pick from, so no more grumbling about "only shitty light beer" in the downstairs fridge! They have a large cooler for people to take beer to-go. My wife grabbed a 4pk of rosé hard cider ($13) which she later claimed tasted too much like kombucha. I found it refreshing, like a Woodchuck or Strongbow with a gorgeous deep purple hue. Of course I had to play their four pinball tables on the left side ($1 per game). They had a Stranger Things (with snazzy UV kit upgrade!), Deadpool, 007, and Rick & Morty. The first three are newer Sterns that play decently, but R&M is a strange design from Spooky Pinball that I've yet to figure out. * TL;DR * Take one down, pass it around.....that'll be $6, please! Orange & Brew shares plenty of similarities with Beer Shop in Oak Park: brews on tap, assorted brews in bottles on a shelf, and a fridge full of cold brews to take home. The biggest difference is that O&B has pinball tables, and that bumps them up a star. The guy behind the counter who tapped my beer didn't smile (or even say thanks) when we cashed out. I got the feeling he was apprehensive about my wife and I bringing our 4yo & 1yo kids in here, probably afraid they'd crack open and chug a beer without paying. But seriously, they were very well behaved. If I'm in the area and Orange & Brew is open, I'm definitely stopping in for a cold pint and a few games of pinball. Check them out!

The pork belly, ciabatta, and balsamic were all good individually, but together the flavors just didn't work. It felt mismatched... * Colorado lamb kebab: 10/10. This is one of the more $$ entrées on the menu, but it's absolutely worth it. The portion was generous, the lamb was high quality, and the artichoke pesto paired really well with the rich, gamey flavor. The roasted pearl onions were a great addition too. I would definitely recommend this dish. * Foxtail paella: 8/10 flavorful orzo paella loaded with seafood. Definitely a sharing type of entree! Always a great time at Foxtail with great food and great service!

Our server, Ximena, was outstanding. She took the time to share the story behind the restaurant's name and the inspiration for its cuisine, which added a personal touch to the meal. She was friendly, attentive, patient, and never made us feel rushed, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The Queso Fundido was absolutely incredible. It arrived at the table bubbling hot and perfectly melted. We paired it with corn tortillas, which complemented the rich, cheesy flavor perfectly. That was definitely the right choice! For my entrée, I ordered the Poblano Rajas Burrito, prepared suiza style. It was a unique dish that I enjoyed, although it wasn't what I would consider traditional Mexican cuisine. In hindsight, I would have skipped both the mushrooms and the potatoes. The potatoes, in particular, changed the overall flavor and took away from the more authentic experience I was expecting. The rice inside the burrito also wasn't traditional Mexican rice, but it was still flavorful and well prepared. Overall, I had a lovely meal at Fonda de Paula and look forward to returning to explore more of their vegetarian offerings. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by and giving them a try.
