Just called this place to see about getting plexiglass installed in my window since I bought a new portable a/c unit. I have about a foot and a half of window space that needs to be covered. I came here to Yelp to read the reviews. The advertisement says 24/7 and since I work late nights I figured I'd give this place a call. (Current time is 2:12 am). I explained my needs to the man that answered the phone and he was VERY RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said well yea you have to measure what you need and bring in your material and we'll cut it for you. I said oh you guys don't do installation? He said yea we do. I said can you guys come to me. He said (in a rude, bothersome tone) ma'am we fix broken windows we don't install air conditioning units!!!!! I said well I don't need it installed I just need the glass to cover the window opening. He then said ma'am it is two something in the morning!!!!! If you wanna call back between 9-5 tomorrow I'll go over everything. I told him I didn't need it right now at this exact moment I was just asking a question. I said well I'm sorry it said 24/7 didn't mean to bother you. He said yea well we do places like In and Out, The Hilton....just rambling at this point.... I ended the call and was turned off by the poor service over the phone! If you advertise 24/7 please don't be rude if a potential customer is inquirying about the services you provide!!!!!! If you're too sleepy then consider changing your business hours!!!!!! read more

If you think I'm lying in anything that comes next -- just ask him for his email address! Wow! First off I never give bad reviews, really! I'm hardly ever inclined to give reviews at all but I literally had the single WORST professional experience in my life with Lauren - who I assume is the owner of Fast Glass. They were recommended to us (a retail chain with over 30 locations) along with 2 other companies for one small piece of glass. A project less than $40. I called Lauren and he was busy and asked that I text him instead - text - not email. Odd, but ok. At least 4 times I asked for an email address so I could manage our communication that way instead of on my personal phone and each time he just ignored the request. Any professional here doesn't need me to explain why email is important in business -related communication. I'm not one to ramble so to keep it as precise as possible -- are they cheap - Yes! Are they fast - No idea. Do they RESPECT their customers - Absolutely NOT!! This man downright told me "this is a lot of work for $15 profit" (a lot of work meaning providing an email address - that's it no more, no less --he didn't even have to check the email for all I cared). I called him because I thought maybe I'd misunderstood his text and he proceeded to tell me "I don't care about your $35 order. I really don't care! I just made $1000 this week, that's all I care about. I don't care if you want to pay me on-site, I don't care about your other locations because we are cheap so I make money either way. I don't NEED your business. If you don't want to do business with me then fine, I don't care and I don't need a lecture." Umm- again, I'm confused because all I asked for was an email address, literally. I barely got my name out of my mouth before he just went off on me! I cancelled the order with him because as I said money isn't the point here -- good customer service is and people will pay for good customer service. If you're someone who needs a fast, cheap glass fix personally - then by all means give him a call if you dare. But BUSINESS OWNERS BEWARE! This man has 0 respect for his customers or your business and has little knowledge of professionalism - professionals communicate via EMAIL it's called CYA. Whether it's $3, $30, $300 or $3000 you treat customers with RESPECT! Something this owner obviously cares nothing about since he's making a whopping $1000 a week. Wow. Disgusted! read more

I will never ever use them and I suggest you don't. I had a 9:00 am appointment, they were late and had not called. I called them at 9:30 am and was told at the time they will be at my place in 15 minutes. They finally showed-up one hour later at 10:30 am and when I asked the reason for the delay, they gave me attitude and walked away. They never called, they never apologized, totally unacceptable and unprofessional. They are NOT the cheapest in town especially if you factor your personal wasted time. I broke one of my windows on hinges while painting my dining room on Christmas Eve Eve. After a quick look on Yelp, I called Fast Glass right away. Lauren answered and gave me a more than reasonable quote. The next morning, (Christmas Eve) I took it to their shop and Lauren fixed it right in front of me. He was quick and lovely to chat to. Just called them after the furniture delivery from hell during which our window was broken. After calling in to get a quote and guilting the money out of the delivery guys I called back. I know it is 2 o'clock in the morning and I know that you promise 24/7 service. When you offer to come out now and I ask if there is an extra charge, don't be rude. When I ask for clarification, don't be even more rude telling me what time it is and how you were asleep. Your business states it has 24/7 service and I would expect a premium cost during off business hours but don't then berate me on the phone for 2 minutes before I have to hang up on you. read more

I was unfortunate enough to have a window shatter out during last Friday's rain storm. Fast forward to today, needing to find someone to fix it. I called one company who told me they were "too busy". IF YOU HAVE A CRAFTSMAN HOME -- THIS IS THE ONLY GLASS BUSINESS TO USE!! The owner, Lawrence was called early Easter morning with an emergency repair of a very large, unique, craftsman bell shape window that was broke at my young daughter's home. We had a family emergency and needed to be at a hospital and needed the place secure and this business owner went above and beyond the call of duty. He came out immediately leaving his breakfast in China Town, picked up help and boarded the place up securely without any damage - very professional. He then took out all the outside pieces (this was a HUGE window) and taped them so that he could hand cut it exactly. Installation was better than the original! The owner was very fast, highly skilled and professional. More importantly he was did not charge as much as we dreaded (we estimated around $1200 - $1800 and it was under $350 and there were no outrageous excess fees for emergency service. God Bless this establishment and the help our family received on a holiday while we were all in crisis. read more

One Saturday, my hubby broke the bathroom window. The window has the original glass from when the house was built in 1912. He tells me to find a glass store, the window is off the hinges and he can take it there. We have used other local glass companies in the past, but no one was open on Saturday. Well, what do you know? Yelp says Fast Glass is open now! I immediately call and the gentleman on the phone asked me a few questions and tells me to bring it in. He says that we have to go through the parking lot of a Mexican restaurant to get to them, it was Casa Sanchez. Now I have a hubby that is super excited to go get the window fixed! I give him $200 in cash to pay for it, because that's what we've paid for in past. Hubby comes home with frosted glass in the window frame (it's what I wanted), 3 tacos in his belly, and $170 in change!!! Wow! A few days later, I thought, do they do window screens? I gave them a call and they said yes! I read out 14 measurements, which he gave me a rough estimate for. In my head, I calculated about $270+ for 14 new window screens! He says he will come by at 9:30 AM to take measurements and we can go from there. He takes the measurements next morning and tells me he will be by to install the next day. The next day? Really? Lo and behold, Saturday afternoon Fast Glass is at my house installing the screens. Boom, boom, boom! I have screens on my windows and I can open my windows without worrying about flies coming in! Why didn't we know about these guys sooner???? I highly recommend going with Fast Glass. They are fast, efficient, helpful, and super nice!! I called on a Saturday morning hoping to get my shattered door fixed, as I spoke to the man on the phone he was very helpful on trying to figure out what I needed...except I couldn't explain to him correctly which resulted in a pretty big misunderstanding. Either way his son, I believe, drove out here and took a look. He said he couldn't fix it the same day but he could definitely help me. My stupid cat had broken a window trying to go through it head first to get an outdoor cat. I called Fast Glass. They asked if the frame was wooden or metal, the approximate size of the window, and quoted me a very reasonable price. They said they'd be here in about an hour and they were here in about 40 minutes. It took them five minutes to remove the window and ten to fix it. The price quoted was 90¢ less than the actual price. They were super friendly and petted the cat and gave me a price on some other work. They were great. HOWEVER--It's a father and son company and they do not service cities outside of Long Beach and maybe Signal Hill. So if you're in LA or OC, look elsewhere. read more

Wow! Fast Glass is right! What a great company! Last night our 100lb German Shepherd dog who thought our sliding glass door was open, even though it was not, barreled through it and shattered the entire door! Our dog only had a small scratch on her paw, thank God, but the door was destroyed! The very next morning I called Fast Glass and they responded immediately and were able to come and fix the door perfectly within a couple of hours at a very reasonable price!!! My husband and I ordered a piece of glass for our dining room table and were amazed when it was made and delivered to our house in one day. First, they came out and measured our table and then within a couple of hours the completed glass table top was delivered to our house. It looked beautiful and fit perfectly. My daughter and I were home and we heard a big explosion and we didn't know what it was until my daughter went to our Master bathroom only to find out shower glass had exploded everywhere. I went to Fast Glass because I needed glass shelves for a vintage hutch that I just bought. I couldn't believe how inexpensive the quote was! Everyone I spoke to was nice and helpful as well.
