Recently called Fast Glass and the guy that picked up the phone answered with a "Hello" to which I replied "Hello?" not sure if I had called the right number and then after a awkward pause he quickly said "Fast Glass, what can I do for you?". I asked if they sold window treatments and he said very abruptly "No" then I asked if there was someone he could refer me to and he again very quickly and very rudely said "No" and proceeded to hang up on me. He seemed to be in a rush and didn't even stick around to talk to me long enough to know that I wanted window treatments AND windows. I just wanted to know if they offered window treatments as it would have been more convenient to purchase both at the same place to assure they match well. Due to the many great reviews I decided I would give them a chance to work on my windows even if they didn't sell window treatments. Let's start with the name - FAST. Let's call that a joke. Let's go on to reliability - bigger joke. Tuesday evening telephone conversation to schedule arrival, "I'll call you in the morning to confirm a time to do the job." Wednesday morning no phone calls from FAST. Telephone call from me to FAST at 11:15 AM, "when are you coming?" Answer, "we'll be there in 30-45 minutes." "That means you'll be here before noon?" "Yes." Wednesday. 1:20 PM [well past noon] telephoned and got Loren who apologized and said he'd be here in 30 minutes. Can't imagine what events were more important than honoring a commitment made to a customer; plus no phone call to explain the delay. I thought about cancelling, but then I MADE A COMMITMENT, so I should keep it, right? When did he actually arrive? Expected time, 1:20 plus 30 = 1:50PM. Arrival time: 1:56PM, within expectations. All around example of the poorest customer relations. If you expect courteous treatment - go elsewhere. read more

I recently bought a dining table and decided that I wanted a glass top to class it up and more importantly protect the table from water marks, scratches, dents, etc. After asking other local outfits for a quick quote, Fast Glass was it for me. I needed a 60x36" glass table top for a reasonable price. I called the number Yelp had and quickly got a live person who was kind enough to answer my questions. They do drive-out appointments to measure and what not for $65/$75 (I can't remember which) or if I knew what I needed then just give them the dimensions and they would get to work on it. I put the order in over the phone and was told to that I could pick up later that evening. Their price was reasonable and it was a simple and straightforward transaction. My only issue would be that the there was no one available at the storefront that I could've spoken with if my order wasn't tailored exactly how I wanted. The storefront signage does state that any drop ins to the store are by appointment only which I took as a testament to how busy with they must be. The orders were left outside with the receipt taped and I just drove up and picked up my new glass table top. The glass top itself was a perfect fit. Definitely coming back Fast Glass for any future glass needs. Side note: The fact that they were based here in Long Beach was plus! read more

Very arrogant! I called to ask if they replace the screen of my 4' x 10' screen door and i was told there's no such thing. That i measured wrong and he'll bet his services for free if i was right....and he was dead certain from his years of experience working even with multimillion dollar homes that that i measured wrong. Here's the key, i'm an accountant and a perfectionist so numbers and double checking is my deal so i couldn't be possibly wrong measuring a simple screen door. And he thinks he's seen every kind of home....wrong! I'm taking my business to the other screen repair shop even if it costs slightly higher...just can't deal with this kind of attitude. read more

I can't express how amazing this business is. Spoke with Loren over the phone to quote a cracked window, I sent over pictures and he gave me an unbeatable price right than and there . Scheduled a Saturday morning appointment, which turns out no other glass company in Long Beach works on the weekends. His son Dan arrived at 955 and was done by 1010. Professional, clean job. If I could give this company negative stars. The person who answered the phone was extremely RUDE. I was explaining what I needed (a rather long list of small things) and he got very impatient with me as he was with a customer. He might have simply (1) not answered the phone and let it go to voice mail or (2) answered and said may I call you right back as soon as I am done with the customer I am helping. They said they would be in our apartment in 20 minutes and they arrived a little before that. They were quick. My gardener got a little careless and shattered my sliding glass door. I called and talked to Lauren and he was able to find the size of tempered glass I needed for replacement. I called Fast Glass at 10pm and I asked if he can come out in the morning and fix my living room window. He asked if I new the measurements for the window. I said no. He had me send him a text message with the picture of the broken window. He said okay and he'll be out in the morning. Prices are very reasonable. Lauren came and did a great job. I could tell he new what he was doing. It was actually a fast process from him taking the old window out to him installing the new window.
