You have a few choices; #1 cut them each year and hope it doesn't get better. But you had better keep you lines clean. I had friends staying at my place and they were using flusable wipes that didn't flush. Long story short; I ended up snaking the house and not fixing it. I had to call in the pro's. As much as it hurt my wallet I needed it done right. I got to dig them for not coming to my place on time; the owner was dealing with a issue we talked about later but; if i was a person who was in a hurry I would of went elsewhere. Then he comes out with the camera so check my lines; this is what I wanted to do in the 1st place. I have 6 feet of lines where roots are coming though. But unfortunately I didn't take screenshot of their rude original comment. BE AWEAR, you would like to keep every record possible if you will deal with them. They deleted their initial comment after my UPDATE review with those three photos attached, because they know I have proof of our phone call conversations, messages and email I sent to them. They cannot simply say I'm lying. So they post this new comment here. I called them, then sent email to them , and sent text message to them to confirm the appointment. If that's not enough, I don't know what else I could do. Particularly when there's city engineer/ inspector involved, they should show a little bit more respect for other's time and efforts. We couldn't take it anymore, so we looked up a reliable local plumber and H&R had great reviews and are also located in San Leandro. I called them on a Wednesday evening and a man answered on the second ring. I told him what our issue was and he immediately said he could help and was ready to send someone the next morning. I wasn't available that day but was available on Friday, and he instantly said that worked for him and gave me a window of noon to 2:00 pm for arrival. Carlos arrived on time and was an incredibly nice, friendly, professional guy. Our problem was a simple one: sediment had collected in the head of the faucet over time and was blocking the water from coming out. He showed us what he removed, how to remove it ourselves next time, and told us that it's a result of the very old, original pipes in our home collecting that sediment. He arrived and finished the job within 30 minutes, tops. Incredibly smooth transaction and experience. Would definitely work with these guys again in the future.

H&R called back around 9AM and by 11AM the problem was solved. What it was, was some tree roots got into the Y junction where the line from our house meets the city sewer. We had PVC liner inserted into the old clay pipes around 8 years ago and put in the cleanout at that time. Andres from H&R gave me a VERY reasonable quote up front, found the cause, fixed the problem, cleaned up and left, and charged exactly the original price quoted. No upsell, no BS. What a relief! I give this company high marks for honesty, competence and availability. What more do you want from a plumber?

I had very poor water pressure coming out of my bathtub and Capelli plumbing came to diagnose the issue. I paid for one hour of labor, (which is fine), however, I was told I'd be getting an estimate for them to come complete the job/ look for other issues when they could send a plumber with "more experience" with showers, etc. The initial interaction was great and understandable. Almost 3 weeks after they initially came - I've called twice and politely asked for an estimate and it still hasn't been sent to me, no followup, etc. I finally ended up calling another plumbing company and the issue was fixed within 1.5 hours, during their first visit. Thank you to the Capelli team, however, I don't feel comfortable using them again as I am confident the initial triaging of the main issue should not have taken a full hour when it only took the other company 5 minutes to explain what he'd be doing and fix it. I would reconsider my review of Capelli Plumbing if they hadn't spent an entire hour at my place & charge for labor only to tell me they'd send an estimate that never came. After seeing how quick the other plumbing company fixed it, I sincerely feel Capelli Plumbing did not need to spend an entire hour at my place and could've left after 10 minutes if he didn't know how to fix it.
