I have other Mexican restaurants in the area, I guess I will give one of them a try, just never going back to this one!!!

A Slow cooked chicken would be better as would an improved coconut sauce flavor. The grilled vegetables and rice with it were better than the meat. We also had a couple drinks each and everything was great. They do happy hours, but we wanted some stuff not on that happy hour menu. You want what you want. This restaurant was not super loud half full, but if packed it would probably be quite loud. They have outdoor seating in the alley that looked very cool but it was like 90 degrees today so that was a hell no. Paid about $200 combined. Food: 8/10 Service: 10/10 Ambience: 10/10

This is totally most definitely hands down the best taco joint in the whole entire town. I have never found myself chowing down on so many chips and salsa. Once my order is finally elegantly delivered to my table by my kind waiter, I add the most mouthwatering hot sauce to my steak tacos, and I feast while drinking the most fine pink lemonade that they have to offer. I am amazed by this taco place and I will be returning almost every single day. I would recommend this fine establishment to anyone that comes into the area and is craving a delicious Mexican meal. read more

I recently went to this establishment for the first time on my lunch break. After living in Texas for several years I was a bit skeptical of how the authenticity of the food would be, and I can honestly say I was very impressed. DISCLAIMER: I got the fat burrito, when you see this thing it will figuratively and physically having you shitting bricks. Overall, I rate Fat Burrito a 5 out of 5 stars.....just don't get the biggest, baddest turd tumbler on your lunch break. That's my bad. read more

The food was great the first time but the second time i attempted to eat at this place i tried calling in an order. I got hung up on... TWICE! Then i tried walking in later that night and they were just 2 busy. As i walked out the door i told my friend how they had hung up on me earlier and one of the workers overheard me and got shitty with me... i dont care how 'busy' you are there is no excuse for being rude to a customer - especially 3 times in one day! read more

Bordering on too large (even for a guy that LOVES to eat!), the signature item, the Fat Burrito, is well-named. Starting with the chips and salsa that comes to your table right after you sit down to the desire to have a crane help you off your chair at the end of your meal, the food is amazing and the service NEVER leaves anything to be desired. This place is SO good! My wife and I go here at least a few times a month. 13-16in burrito for $8.00. The amount of food you get with the price may be one of the best in the city. The margaritas are also fantastic! Only thing I would say is that the chips are a bit too hard, and sometimes you don't get "16in" but it is still a lot of food! read more

I love this place. I work about 100 yards away from Fat Burrito so I frequent a lot for lunch and dinner. I have dined in and carried out from here. Its a good, authentic Mexican restaurant that has your standard Mexican fare. I recommend the tacos and burritos. I usually get steak or pork and have had good experiences with both. read more

Been going here since they opened. This is THE place to get great authentic Mexican food in Crown Town! I always say I'm going to try more things on the menu, but I always get the steak "Fat burrito" it's huge, filling and of excellent quality. I took my workers here because we were working nearby. I got a fat burrito dinner, one of my men got the Diablo shrimp and the other had a steak burrito. Everything was very good, the portions were good and the service was great. I recommend stopping in if you are in the area. read more

That is "fancy dinner pricing" and doesn't seem to gibe with 3 tacos and some decent rice and beans. I wish the place had horchata available - that's typically my mark of "authentic vs. unauthentic." I like El Salto, and it's close enough to my mom's house that we'll probably be back, ideally to dine in next time - I think this is one place that loses a lot of its quality to presentation and temperature and stability when it is carried out.
