That was one of the best lunches I have had in a long time and it wasn't because I took my daughter and her baby there. It was because the service and food were simply perfect. We walked in and were the first ones but the restaurant quickly filled by the time we started eating. The menu is perfect because there is a good variety between appetizers, soups, salads and sandwiches. we decided to order the Gyro Pita and the BLT with chicken and bacon. Both were outstanding choices and they came with a basket of seasoned fries. We could have had a salad but thankfully we went with fries because they were so good. Seasoned perfectly which went so well with all the fresh toppings on both sandwiches. The Gyro was loaded with tomatoes, feta cheese, little pieces of fresh peppers, and grilled chicken. It looked like it would be messy but it really wasn't. The small cup of side dressing was so good that I had to dip my fries in it. The BLT was served on toasted wheat bread with some melted cheese and crispy bacon on top of a thin grilled chicken breast. It too had a small side sauce that held all of the lettuce and tomato on it. We didn't order drinks but the drink menu looked fun and I would want to try them on my next visit. The gentleman that greeted us at the door was also our server and he was so polite and always noticed when our water glasses were getting low so that he refilled them. I know that I will be back and my daughter already told her husband that they have to go again since they live so close by. We were invited to a seminar here that included lunch. I ordered a shrimp fat boy with fries. The sandwich was overstuffed with shrimp and veggies along with the fries it was a substantial meal. The fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The one waitress was very efficient and attentive. The interior is tastefully decorated with booths along one wall and tables around the dining room. Met some friends for dinner and they recommend we try Fat Stork. Walked in and seated immediately. It's in a strip mall with a cozy decor with a grass wall with lights. Several booths on the sides and tables in the middle. I ordered a large Caesar Salad which was fresh and truffle fries both very tasty. My husband ordered spaghetti and meatballs. Nice portion size with three meatballs and garnished with garlic bread on the sides. Our friends also loved their meals. Stork burger and steak tacos. Wow! Haven't had food this good in a VERY long time! First time here and we're already planning when we're coming back! Telling all our friends too! Don't let the location of being in a strip mall fool you, you won't find better food anywhere else! We had the spicy Thai salad that was so big and so full of flavor, the chicken skewers that were unbelievably tasty good and moist and also had the jalapeño mashed potatoes, who knew this was a thing..they were incredible!! A day of shopping with a friend and it was lunchtime. So I went to my trusty Yelp app and typed in..restaurants in my area...Fat Stork popped up, the reviews and pictures of the food looked promising.. so off we went. This lovely quaint little restaurant was just what we needed. The place was cozie, the staff was friendly and watching them work you could see they all worked together. The food was full of flavor. Stopped by this afternoon for lunch. Parking was easily available in the lot. Although there were no specific lunch specials our waiter said that we could order from the breakfast/brunch or dinner menus. I had the bagel sandwich with nova lox and my husband had the BLT. Our server was polite and did not hover. We enjoyed both meals, particularly the oven fries that accompanied my bagel. The coffee was hot and refilled without my having to request it. We visited The Fat Stork on a Friday evening. While the parking lot in front was packed due to the busy Wings place next door, we had no trouble finding a spot behind the strip mall. The restaurant itself wasn't too crowded, and we were seated right away. We started with two glasses of house wine (note: they only serve wine and beer) and house salads, which were fresh and well-balanced with a bright lemon dressing. For our mains, my husband had the fish tacos and I ordered the kebab sampler. The fish on both the tacos and kebabs was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The chicken thighs and shrimp were just as lovely. The only miss was the kebab steak -- while flavorful, it was a bit too chewy for my taste. So we were out in Davie by chance, needed food. I saw the name of the restaurant, the reviews, the menu, we headed over. Jose greeted, seated and served us. We chose a booth and ordered. (We were ready because I read my husband the menu on the way there ;-D) The floors, tables and booths were clean...cute lighting and decor. I chose the spicy Thai salad with chicken and my husband went for the stork burger with fries. We arrived at an odd time to eat, 3pm, there was only one other couple in the place. It's in a strip mall, but you know what they say about restaurants in strip malls...sometimes you get lucky. Let me tell you, the chicken on the salad was so yummy! The salad was so big I took most of it home. I'll literally get two more meals out of it. I LOVE this type of salad. The dressing is clearly homemade...there was half an avocado, a bunch of noodles, peanuts, and mango in there. Salads make me happy...this one made me very happy. My husband took down the entire burger, I don't know how, it was massive. He never said a word, so I know he enjoyed it. He did speak of the fries saying how crisp they are-- they were phenomenal... (I loves me some fries.) In closing, food and service were very, VERY good. I'd expect this guy to be in a standalone restaurant soon, his gastro pub cuisine deserves it! read more

I went to have dinner with my father and we were both greeted with excellent customer service at the door. Our waiter made sure to check up on us multiple times and refilled our waters and asked if everything was good. When our food came out, my father was Enjoying it and love the mashed potatoes along with his steak. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and it was a little on the creamier side, but I enjoyed it. I definitely would go out there again to see and try other things that they have on their menu. I ordered the gyro and it came with tomatoes and cucumber instead of feta, onions, and peppers like it says on the menu. When I asked our waiter about the difference in ingredients, he seemed to know about the tomatoes and cucumbers but apologized profusely about the missing feta. I wasn't sure why he didn't warn me about the difference or why the menu isn't correct but I do not recommend the gyro. Other than that our waiter was very attentive and friendly. Saturday afternoon girl outing and decided to come here because... well, the reviews of course! It's in a plaza, ample parking with decent signage for you to see the restaurant from the street. We were seated quickly enough by the friendly staff. There seems to be a 50/50 mix of loyal customers and new people. The rag they used to wipe the table needed a change though it smelled like old it was an immediate turn off, got table wiped again and decided to stay. Could use some renovations for sure but it lends to the local diner type vibe despite the cool name. We had margaritas but nothing special (margarita mix) since there was no bartender. My food was mediocre at best but my friend had the fish tacos which were tasty and her fries were awesome. We came here for dinner and it's a small and charming space right on Griffin & Pine Island Rd area. A lot of interesting decor in the space. Cute. Our server was Rebecca and she was very friendly and attentive. Ordered a variety of menu items including the tuna tartare, grilled vegetables, kebab platter, steak kebab, churasco, fillet de dorado. The tuna tartare and churasco were our favorite dishes. For the $25 price point on the kebab platter, you don't get much and it didn't seem worth the price. What a hidden gem!!! My friend and I went last night and what a pleasant surprise in this shopping center strip. First we had a very nice large glass of wine. We decided to split one of the specials that night which was short ribs over potatoes with a side Caesar salad. Our waiter, George, who was fantastic said it was enough for 2. Honestly, it was probably enough for 4. It was one of the best meals I have had in a restaurant. For dessert we spilt the tres leches cake which had a nice touch of a few chocolate chips. Delicious. I read good things about the Fat Stork. Somehow We didn't seem to think it was that great. The service was amazing but the food was lacking. The eggs benedict were cooked right but the tiny biscuut at the bottom was small and dry. The hollandaise sauce was okay, a bit too yellow for me. The fruit was nothing special. A slice of strawberry, a couple grapes and something that looked like canned pear. Overall I was not impressed. The classic breakfast was probably the best. A friend ordered it with truffle fries and sausage. The coffee was good and the server and took the time to make me a cup off decaf in the end. We've wanted to go to the Fat Stork for a while and we finally got the opportunity. I saw signs on the window that claimed it was the place with Davie's best burger so I got the stork burger. It was a hearty burger and very tasty. Also very juicy. Very very juicy. Nothing wrong with that but you should just be aware. The restaurant itself was cute and had string lights and faux brick on the wall. It was a quaint little space. 5/11/2023- Came in for the first time with my boss for lunch. It's in a shopping center so parking was a breeze. We came in and we're pleasantly surprised by the adorable decor. We chose to sit in a booth. Our waitress Katia (I think that was her name) took our drink order (water) and explained a little bit the menu and gave us the specials. They have a pretty extensive menu which means lots of great options for lunch. We decided to share the guacamole toast. My boss ordered the fish tacos and I ordered the shrimp kabobs. The toast came out and it looked divine. Beautifully plated and had great flavor. My boss was super happy with her tacos and said that it had plenty of fish. She order a side salad as her side. My shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I ordered the fries as my side. These fries were sooooo good. The food was so great we decided to order dessert. We had their limoncello cake. Again, another nice plate. It came with whip cream, vanilla ice cream and grilled marshmallow. That was the icing or should I say the marshmallow on the cake. Highly recommend. We told our co workers and we are planning on coming back. They also serve brunch and if it is as tasty as lunch I'm bringing my run group here. The service was wonderful. Let me start by saying the food was delicious. I had a ham and cheese omelette. However, it took 10 minutes to get drinks, the waiter came to say it would be another 10 minutes while the chef caught up from the breakfast rush. It took 25 minutes to order and when we ordered we were all in need of refills. We actually got up to ask for refills. We are a party of 6. We even went to the restroom while waiting, no toilet paper. They had 2 waiters for the whole floor. A family of 4 came in to a different waiter and got their food before us. Not happy at all with the service and now because we are a party of 6 they automatically take out 20% tip. He was definitely not worth even 10% . I for one will never be back. I read some really good reviews and decided to come in. We started with the meatball appetizer, had 2 orders of fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and two churrasconwotj fries. My daughter and mom said the fettuccini was tasty, the meatball was also very tasty. Now let's talk about the churrasco. The chimichirri sauce was very tasty and appearance wise the churrasco looked to be cooked well (we got medium). However the meat itself was excessively rubber to a point where it was not enjoyable at all. Can't tell if it was just the quality of meat or cooking process. They were nice to remove 1 order of the churrasco that my daughter refused to eat. Very unfortunate as if that had gone well this would have been a 5 start review. read more

My friends celebrated my birthday here and we had a very good time. It's a cute and intimate location. The place decorations are very cute. They have booths or regular tables. The ladies' bathroom has a very cute messaging. Also, it has a diaper changer, which is very important. Single bathroom for men and for women. The food was good but I had better breakfast. I would go back because the food is edible. My salmon was salty and one of my friend's food was really cold so she had to wait for them to make a fresh plate for her. The toast bread only toast on one side, which was weird I found the prices were on the high end. The customer service was very good. They were accommodating to our wishes. Very professional and friendly. That's another reason I would go back due to good customer service. If you're in the area looking for breakfast, bunch, or lunch, check them out. Oh, I forgot I had the peach sangria and it was very good!! However, the coloring threw me off!!
