RT has always had the same original tomato sauce forever, as I can remember. There are lots of choices for specialty pizzas, as well as your favorite personal toppings. Their ingredients are always fresh, cooked well, and generous. Now a days the pricing has gone up, since twenty years ago, when I started to become a regular. But, everything is more expensive now, anyway, right? This particular location is right off the PCH and next to CVS, and adjacent to Handel's my all time favorite ice cream. I ordered a pan crust extra large pizza. $70 for this pizza. The crust that I expected would've been a raised thick type of crust. What I got was a chewy not raised at all pile of you know what. I called the restaurant to complain. The first person I talked to said that they were out of pan crust. He transferred me to someone else, who argued with me that the pizza that I got was their pan crust, despite the first person telling me they were out of it. I have never had a worse pizza. I specifically ordered from round table because of the experience I have had with their normally high-quality pizza in the past. This was not that and I did not appreciate whoever I spoke with on the phone telling me that I got a pan crust pizza when what I got was obviously not that. Since we were on a family beach trip the kids wanted pizza. The dude and I didn't want pizza so we got something else but my sisters placed the order and my mom, aunt in law and older adult cousin went to go pick the pizza up in Torrance. Although I didn't want pizza my sisters still ordered half cheese as I LOVE Round Tables cheese pizza which is so delicious. When my mother and I entered we were greeted by staff and all the pizza we ordered to feed over 10 people came to $184 which was not too bad for all the pizza we got. The inside was clean, still no inside dining when we went in early October 2020. I did end up eating a slice the next day for lunch. The staff was not really friendly as employees appeared they just wanted to get off work and appeared annoyed. We paid and had to wait still a little still. The food taste great and yummy when we got back to the hotel. The nieces, parents, aunts, cousins, and sisters all enjoyed the food and said it was good. We usually go to the Round Table on Redondo Beach Blvd and Hawthorne but were closer to this area so ordered for pickup. Customer service was fine, the guys who answer the phone and work there don't say anything. You have to prompt them to repeat the order to acknowledge that they got the order right, that you're done reciting the order, to get parm/peppers. Which is fine I guess. The worst part was the actual pizza. We ordered double toppings and barely got a regular amount. When we picked it up it barely felt warm but when we got home 5 mins later it had already started to congeal, no pull to the cheese, and the dough and veggies seemed strangely stale. It had a distinclty old taste, I don't know if they par bake the crust before hand but it was just not good. We ended up throwing it out. Weirdly, despite being subpar in taste and in actual ingredients it was more expensive than the one on Hawthorne. I realized I have a very similar to review to someone else about 3 years ago, so clearly that's just how this place operates and they have no intention of changing. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

I grew up on Round Table Pizza, so having a major craving for it is one that I don't get to satisfy too often, but when I do, I normally really enjoy it! Unfortunately, that was certainly not the case here. I worked real hard last Friday, thinking that I'm going to get off work, brake my way across the 91fwy, order a King Arthur's Supreme and pass out from a food coma...yeah, no! Not even close! Everything but the pizza part of that scenario occurred. I ordered online and went to pick up my pizza. It said a 14 minute wait, which was perfect, because it was close by. When I got there, I gave my name and was immediately given my order. I even opened it up to look at it. I have to say that it was very pretty, but something seemed a little off when I looked at it. It didn't "look" hot and toppings didn't appear to be cooked. I paid for extra pepperoni, but only noticed 6 extra on top...hmmm, surely the extra is underneath. Has to be! Ummmm...yeah, that's also a no! Another clue is your car smelling like pizza as you drive home...another no! When I got home and began to eat, I opened it up and easily pulled a slice apart. Normally, there's a pull as the cheese and toppings from the next slice tug back...nope! Not even close. No cheese hung or dragged...nothing! That was the next problem... There was no hanging cheese or toppings and it was stiff. The kind of stiff that comes with cold pizza. When I touched the bottom of the pizza slice, it was barely warm. It's almost like the pizza was blanched, not fully cooked, because even the veggies on top looked like they came straight from the fridge, as they were hard and crunchy, just like freshly cut veggies. When I bit into it, it was extremely dry. Surprising as hell, because I've never in my life had a Round Table pizza like this! I didn't taste any sauce on any of the slices that I ate and I barely tasted any cheese, in fact, if there was some there, it was very, very minimal. I think I wished so hard for cheesiness that I hoped it was there. After the first slice, I took apart the second and third only to find out that there was no extra pepperoni. So I paid extra and didn't even get it. On top of that, I really hope that those six extra pepperoni on top is not considered the "extra!" If it is, then shame as hell on them, because that is an absolute waste of paying for extra. In all, I paid $26 (great tip included) for a pizza that I only ate three slices out of and even then, I actually ate one and a half. I was so irritated with those that I just ate the meat toppings off of the third and then threw the rest in the trash, where it belonged! I was originally going to go to the one on Redondo Beach Blvd, but I thought this one would be just fine, since it's closer to the hill. Boy was I absolutely wrong. I should have just went over there. I've never had a problem there, but I've been to a few Round Table Pizza's and they've been consistent. This was the first time I've ever had this experience. They really need to get their shit together, because money is scarce and even more precious these days for people. To waste it on food that ended up in the trash is a travesty! read more

Ordered for first time here. Pizza was excellent and order followed,prompt delivery. However, I tipped my driver $5 and said I didn't know how much my order was. He handed me my receipt! Well.....when I placed order I had asked I'd they deliver and told yes. but NOT. That is was a $9.99 charge!!!! Really! Looking at website just now says, $4 charge. I find that spending $15 dollars for less than a mile delivery is insane. I would have driven there as my local was closed( no delivery charge). My complaint is that I was not informed it was an $10 charge. I was happy to give $5 tip to driver. Had told him I was a new customer! Missed the boat here ...big time! read more

The pizza is usually pretty good but I've found that some of the lunchtime employees, and especially the person I perceive to be the shift manager to be incompetent and not customer focused. A little too much like the soup Nazi, who serves you when he feels like it and disinterested in his customers satisfaction or feedback. They advertise that they have gluten free pizza but this location did not have it. The one person working there was not at all helpful it was pouring rain outside. The restaurant is in a semi subterranean location so the rain was coming inside. We got soaked for nothing. read more

Super disappointed with the last 2 experiences at this location. My husband and I love Round Table pizza and order at least twice a month. We even live in RPV--15 minutes away--and drive that distance to pick up our own orders. I'll only describe today's experience, which was the icing on the cake for us. I ordered online at 4:00pm and selected "future" ready time of 6:00 pm. That's 2 hours notice and should be plenty of time to plan ahead for the team. My husband arrived at 6:10 and it hadn't even been prepared yet. Then as he was waiting, he started to observe the workers and noticed that 2 of the employees were not wearing masks, and one of them was coughing. The employee cutting & putting pizzas in to go boxes and the cook. (One of them was wearing a mask, but only had it around his neck.). He just ended up canceling the order and leaving. Extremely disappointing especially because this is a waste of an hours time and gas that he will never get back. We'll never go back. read more

What a Shame. I can no longer enjoy this Pizza. They seem to have drastically cut back on Cheese (on the Pizza) but have decided to add Cayenne Pepper or some other Capsaicin Containing Ingredient, because I can no longer enjoy the Pizza without burning my mouth and getting ridiculous heartburn and Fighting for Breath. This place was opened couple of months ago near our house. We tried one month ago, and we loved it!! The first point is that the place is not smelling . The very best is about the food itself which is obviously made with all fresh ingredients. We ordered four cheese pizza and vegetarian pizza; both were YUMMY. The owner us nice and welcoming.
