Looking at the menu I was bit surprised they did not have more signature drinks on the menu, mainly mojitos, but then realized this is a Latin speakeasy, with music playing to match. Once I had my coconut mojito I was very pleased. They really do know how to make them. They also have a full bar so anything you want they can make, The bartender and servers were super nice and friendly, and they worked quick to get all drinks out. They also had some food, that looked delicious, and hope I get the chance to come back to try some. After seating in the lounge/ speakeasy area for a while, we moved to the bar for a last drink. The bartender said Espresso Martinis were her specialty so we order those. She was not lying, one of the best we've had.

Interesting space... I see the vision but this is why space planning is so important. Or maybe it's the designer in me. I found the seating very uncomfortable and awkwardly positioned. The services was good and the empanadas were tasty (little greasy) Drinks were yummy... The old fashion was presented in a box while it was being smoked, very cool concept. Overall I dig the concept and I was glad to check it out since I was in the Kissimmee area.

Plenty of seating and a dance floor for out and about fun, I believe, later in the day. My fried shrimp was good but I was hoping for spicier since they are jalapeños stuffed shrimp but I am sure that's a personal preference. My sister and cousin ordered hamburgers but after a bit of time were told they were out of burgers. So they switched to a meat lovers flat bread pizza and a sweet and spicy chicken wrap. They both were happy with their new choices. It's a bar/restaurant atmosphere which i am sure would be even more fun later in the day. In the area? Check Them Out!

Since more than a few sunsets have passed between the late 80s and now it is essentially my generation's classical music. So when I heard about a show in Kissimmee, I was ready to hit the road in my midlife crisis, red sports car with a good friend. Sun on the Beach is located in Old Town Kissimmee, close to a bunch of hotels, restaurants, and of course, other entertainment venues. There is some parking, but I left my car in the hotel and we Ubered over. The space itself looks like an industrial warehouse that was converted to a nightclub with lots of open space, kind of like classic Wynwood. Judy Torres' performance was 6/5, no doubt! Her singing took me back to the all ages parties in the late 80/s & early 90/s, to borrowing my parents' Cutlass Cierra and going with my then girlfriend to sit behind the airport and watch the planes #iykyk. She dances with great moves as if our generation never aged. Before her act, we sat through two hours, more or less of a warm-up DJ act that was all sorts of mix from freestyle to Bachata to Reggaeton. The other warm-up act was Sammy EXO, who sang a few tracks. Besides the long warm-up act and wait between the headline performance, my friend and I waited in crowded bar that could've used another bartender to get a couple of sweet watered down drinks. I know we're adults and extensively have a little better tolerance but come on you want to feel a little bit of a buzz. Besides that after driving three hours from Miami, we might have been a little tired :) I had to ask around to get at least one chair so we could get to recharge a bit. The only seating was in the VIP area. Admittedly, I know yeah VIP but maybe having some lounge areas or some seats at the bar would make it a little more comfortable. Another complaint is that there is no in and out like with a wristband. Heck we couldn't even go to their outside bar. Although it has the same name and was in the same property, we couldn't go to the other bar for a change of scene or just to get a break from the long warmup act.

But every visit, the biggest issue has been the service. The servers come across genuinely rude and seem way more focused on their regular patrons while everyone else gets treated like an afterthought. It creates a really unwelcoming atmosphere that takes away from the experience. They also respond cruelly. And if there's a game on, good luck. The place gets insanely loud, people are yelling across the restaurant, and the patrons can be obnoxious enough that it's hard to even enjoy dinner or hold a conversation. The sushi is solid enough if you're already nearby, but definitely not the sushi vibe I look for.

Chicken tasted fresh and flavorful with the sauce, although it could've used more char. I appreciate the fried rice used leftover sushi rice and veggies from the day prior. I felt welcome and comfortable throughout my visit. My host was most perceptive by seating me near the back facing a tv playing 80s music videos. It was a pleasure to watch those music videos while I ate my food, and rare to find a place playing something other than sports on every screen (other screens were playing sports).

As you enter the hotel, the bar is to your right and as you walk down the hallway, you turn to the left by the staircase, and you are there. It's a nice, small bar with additional tables and chairs on the balcony. On the Sunday evening that we went, there was no waitress to take your order. You selected the menu from the bar area and then placed your order with the bartender. We ordered the Askur Gimlet ($19.50) and the Sparkling Hibiscus ($18.50) cocktails. My friend enjoyed her gimlet, and my hibiscus drink was nice, but a little sweet for me. The hibiscus flower in the glass was edible, which was cool to experience. Overall, nice place for a cocktail, but the prices are high and the drinks were not that strong. I know this is a Disney resort and you pay extra for the environment, but I expected a little more for $20+ drinks (with tax and tip) and minimal service. However, it's a quaint spot to stop in for the experience.
