1 LB. JUMBO FRIED SHRIMP HOMEMADE CHEESY TOTS
    Vanity H.

Ordered this place with some coworkers for delivery and let me tell you - we felt like fatso's BUT we were in fatso heaven! We did go a little overboard with our order because we wanted to try a couple things. We all ordered a burger - I personally ordered the ooeey gooeey one which was huge, cheesy, and delicious! We also ordered a side of jumbo shrimp (which we wish was butterfly shrimp - that's the real jumbo haha) & cheesy tots - just okay nothing spectacular and needed a sauce. Their shake was marvelous! Highly recommend their burgers & shakes.

"Double Fatso Burger with Cheese" was definitely one of the BEST burgers I've had. Juicy, perfectly cooked, and loaded with flavor--Fatso's Last Stand absolutely delivers. Chicago classic for a reason.

Cute patio outside to sit. The food was fast, and I like their unique take on a Chicago dog. We will be back for the shakes and chili. They were only accepting cash on our visit.

A friend brought me here on my last day visiting Chicago. I am so glad she didn't let me leave without trying a Chicago Dog. I can honestly say this is one of the best hot dogs I've ever had! I never wanted it to end and I will make it a point to eat here when I visit again.

Fatso's is a solid Chicago dog/hamburger stand. The Chicago dog/double dog and fries were great. The fries especially were delicious and similar to Five Guys style. Also ordered the Italian beef and will give them a pass because I guess it is a pretty new item on the menu. It didn't have much flavor and was pretty dry (I didn't order it dry). Parking behind the stand and nice outdoor setup for those warm nights. Limited seating inside.

Got the Italian sausage with everything. What a big messy meal with fresh cut fries! It was a great lunch at a good price. Friendly service and quick. I want to try more of their menu.

Chicago style dog all the way

My 2nd visit to Chicago and I finally got a Chicago style hotdog. I enjoyed my hotdog and all its toppings that made it Chicago style. The hotdog was nicely charred and had a snap as I took a bite. Service was good and well the ambience is what you would expect of a hotdog joint. They have seating inside and out. Bold colors filled the walls which I enjoyed...definitely not boring and they had it nicely decorated with holiday decor.

Since these folks do not steam their hot dog, they grill it, it is going to taste a tad different. It still works amazingly well, and this one had all the trimmings to make this hot dog special. Love the little way they make the endings all cute. Prices are a tad on the high side but they serve alcoholic milkshakes! I thought about ordering one but figured to back off. Maybe I will get one of these and a hot dog before I leave this city. The floors were very sticky so points lost for ambiance. Great late night snack food overall.

Not exactly anything special - the one i got pictured below was extremely acidic and the taste of the sour chilies overpowered the entire hotdog there was barely any taste to the cut sausage link and overall this isn't a place i'd particularly recommend. They close relatively early on the weekends and the employees are mainly all men and super nice but this isn't a hot dog Id come back for given the price.

Top tier Chicago dog experience. High quality dog with all the fixin's. The authentic Chicago way. This was our first stop when we got into the city. Been on my list for years & I'm glad we finally got come give it a shot. Fries are good--remind me of five guys, & they give you a ton. My wife & I split one order of them & didn't finish. We also got a double char with cheese (please!) and it was solid. Good flavor in the meat, well cooked, very cheesy. Wish i had more sauce on mine just so I could really taste it all the way. But it was great! Good spot!

Ended my night with a char dog from Fatso's. There's a credit card fee, so make sure to bring some cash. I got my char dog with everything. However, I could've gone without the sport peppers since I removed them after realizing they were really spicy. Loved the celery salt and mustard. Definitely don't need ketchup. The char was nice, but since they split the hot dog, there isn't as much as a satisfying snap when you bite into it.

When I ordered this I thought of a chicago style hot dog... when I tried it .. it was more then that.. they call this a char dog with fries but the flavor is something else... it is very delicious... I will be stopping by to try more items from their menu but I really recommend this great service as well

Picked most recommended places for Chicago Dogs and went to 4, this did not disappoint. Surprised by amazing shakes. The grilled bun makes it hold together and eat easier but tasting experience was argued in group if better than steamed or worse. Also these are Char dogs. Normally I argue order of dog starts best with charcoal for char grill, propane grill, griddle, NY dirty water, deep fried, steamed, boiled, then microwaved... but with the dragged through garden Chicago style 2 of 3 argue the steamed elsewhere is better match to all the other flavors. The toppings great, nice and heavy on celery salt (2 of 3 preference), and the heavy poppy seeds was great. Best looking dog! And if Char dog your gig, this is the place!

I asked for extra sport peppers... and they never made it into the bag. The peppers that did survive then launched itself onto the ground after my first bite, never to be seen again. A lone pepper remained. A true Chicago casualty. I ordered ahead for pickup at 12:15, and while it was ready on time, I think it had been sitting for a bit because everything was cold by the time I got back. The fries had good flavor but had sadly crossed over into soggy territory. The sauces were tasty (and generously portioned), but paying $1 each bruised my sauce-loving heart just a little. One thing that genuinely surprised me was the seating. The inside is tiny, and almost all of the seating is outdoors. It had me wondering... what exactly happens here in a Chicago January? Do we all just huddle around our hot dogs for warmth? Overall, it wasn't a bad meal, it just didn't live up to the hype for me. Maybe I caught them on an off day, because I can definitely see the potential.

It has that classic late night comfort food vibe and feels like one of those staple spots you have to try at least once. First night I ordered a polish hot dog with everything on it and a fish sandwich w/ extra grilled onions. Super cool that your order comes with fries and I added a cheese cup both times. In my opinion the fries were mid the first go around, but second time they were better. Definitely tasted better dipped in cheese. They were kinda airy in texture, if that makes sense. Polish hot dog was around a 6.5-7/10 for me. It did taste better warmed up the next day. What I was most obsessed with was the double cheeseburger and fish sandwich! both were easily a 10/10. Super good prices and worth the money. Also, the chile peppers were sooo bomb and hotter than I expected ! I wanted to eat them all, but they were packing some serious heat! The lemon Italian ice is where it's at, make sure to order one! You can also mix it with strawberry, but both times people recommended the lemon and now I see why. The line gets super active and busy past 10-11pm, but during the daytime it's way less crowded. Even when it gets packed the line moves pretty quick. We were eating in our rental car in apx 10 min. It was cool to eat outside on a warm July night in a classic, 1950s style drive-in. The food was excellent, flavorful and fresh. I normally avoid krinkle cut fries because they are usually frozen and mushy or mealy. Not Superfries. These fresh cut fries were practically fried mashed potatoes. We loved them! The drinks were perfect. The Black Kows is basically a root beer float and served with an extra root beer "sidecar." Our only complaints were about errors with the garnishes. We specifically said we wanted all the garnishes on both dawgs and they only gave us the standard grilled onions on the Whoopskidawg and forgot the sport peppers on the Superdawg.
