**vegetarian review** **aahaar** I ordered few things from aahaar - masala dosa, masala fried idli and Eggplant Ennagai. On the whole I wasn't impressed. Everything was extremely oily. Masala fried idli - gosh generally I love this dish. However it was extremely oily with idli being deep fried and extra oil in container. I also thought the podi overpowered the onion and so it tasted one dimensional. Masala dosa - I am genuinely shocked that this was so oily. And the coconut chutney was so watery. Aahaar generally has good reputation and their stand alone store is good but boy was this bad. I definitely do not recommend Eggplant Ennagai - the saving grace. While this was also on the oily end I did like the flavour of the dish. I am very biased to eggplant though. On the whole I don't recommend this place. I really really wish it was better. read more

I am confused as i am not sure if Favekitchens is the cooking space because when you order you see two places Aahar: An indian eatery and Agraham pure vegetarian on the site. Anyhow whichever it is, the food here is really great!! Sounds focus on south indian foods like dosas. Stuff tried: Masala Vada: fried lentil spiced patties. Kind of like a falafel almost. Really tasty with the chutney Spinach and cashew pakoras: I was also craving something crunchy and fried so glad this was on menu. Pakora can sometime be a bit dry but the version here had good flavor and not chalky Spinach masala dosa: sadly this was take out so the normally large dosa was crammed into a to go box. Great flavor and texture! Mint chutney and coconut chutney add great flavor! Sambar is also includes is a nice palate changer. Lemon rice: love this dish and haven't seen this on many indian restaurants. Aside from the lemony punch there is another spice that i cant quite place that makes this super delicious! Palak paneer: my go to dish at most indian restaurants. Paneer cheese cubes in a nice green gravy. This version is one of my favorites so far in this city! Some of the best indian food in Seattle by far! It is in a very nondescript space down in SODO that used to be Zinnias bistro. The entire space is just a kitchen shared by the two restaurants. No indoor seating at all and pick up/delivery only! Check them out! read more

Did an online order of butter chicken and Eral Varuval from their website ordering the safe options. They definitely feel similar in taste as eaten at Aahar. Do checkout their website, ordering may be cheaper on there. Taste wise the food was great. Will surely order again. read more

Oh man. I realllly love the idea of this place and the concept of having an open space for local businesses to work out of. And the idea that you can order from multiple restaurants through one kitchen is very cool. With that said... The food we got just didn't hold up as I had hoped... :( I truly wished it did and I could recommend it to more people. Birria tacos- overall OK, but have had better but the beef was dry and didn't have much flavor. Thai curry and spring rolls- the the curry was pretty standard. Nothing extraordinary overall a tasty yellow curry. Masala wings- too heavily spiced and not for me but not docking pts for this bc I think this could just be individual preference. FaveKitchens is a quick way/place to get a multi cuisine tasty bite to eat in SoDo area. So far we have tried two Indian restaurants "Aahaan" and "Agraharam". Aahaar Ordered aloo bonda (fried chickpea potato balls), Hyderabadi chicken dum biryani, masala dosa and cheese masala dosa. Fried foods rarely hold up splendidly. Bonda and dosa weren't crispy, but it's OK as they still tasted wonderful. Chicken biryani was filling and delicious. Buried in the biryani, there was a whole cuts of succulent chicken bursting with flavor from the potent array of spices, herbs, and aromatics it's marinated in. Yum Yum. Agraharam Ordered masala dosa. Pretty good. Tasted very similar to Aahaar's dosa. read more

New Indian place opened up in Seattle. There is a real dearth of good south Indian restaurants that serves good dosas in Seattle. They are takeout only in covid times and offer free delivery for some zip codes if you order directly form them. They have a huge menu and took us some time to decide. We ordered the hyderabadi biryani and mysore masala dosa. We just found the taste to be way too mild for us. I was slightly disappointed but I am willing to give another try to this. read more

Had to drop in to work two days ago and was I surprised and excit d to see aahar show up on doordash. Indian food in seattle is quite sad and aahar is one of the few places in the greater Seattle area that serves authentic tasty south Indian food. Post COVID, we have been deprived of aahar which was a staple post hike tradition. So Favekitchen is apparently a shared space between two restaurants and is located in the SODO area. I ordered food from the aahar menu. Got myself a non veg corporate thali and biriyani and badam halwa for my husband. The thali was great and filling. A meal comes with naan, pulao, vegetarian stir fry, chicken curry and a gulab jamun. Badam halwa was amazing as always. We have never had their biryani before and we prefer dum so this was just ok. The pricing for certain items is higher when ordering from doordash. You could do a pickup directly from the place from what I have read. Thank you for coming closer to Seattle Aahar :). Love the concept. Having different options under the same umbrella. I was able to order from 2 restaurants - Aahaar and Agraharam. Food was excellent. Finally access to good indian food in Seattle. I had to pick up since my zipcode was not within the delivery circle. I hope they expand their circle soon. When I arrived there the hot food was already ready for pick up. Will order again. I ordered Kara Dosa, Chettinad Pepper chicken, Kadai Chicken and Bisibelebath. Very tasty. I asked for extra spicy, and they delivered. In terms of customer service they stopped picking calls also so I have no idea what happened or when I will get food. We ordered food from here last week. We got Amaravati chicken, chicken biriyani, venn pongal, chakkara pongal and kal dosa. I want to give an itemized review: Amaravati chicken: Good flavoring, well-cooked and delicious. Chicken biriyani: better than any other biriyani you can get in Seattle. However, it could have been better in spice levels and quantity. Venn pongal: first place in Seattle to serve pongal I guess. It came with chutneys and a tomato-onion based side (do not know the name). All of them tasted great but the sides were in extremely small quantities. Chakkara pongal: again, first place in Seattle to serve this. It had the perfect level of sweetness and was yummy. Kal dosa: there were 3 dosas - soft and delicious. It came with sambhar and chutney (which were again in tiny containers). Overall, everything was delicious but was EXPENSIVE!! (That's the reason why I gave it four stars) It is definitely first of a kind in Seattle and they are making the most of it. :D EDIT: Some items are cheaper if you order on their website compared to other food delivery apps and they have free delivery to several Seattle locations. Also, I have tried more items now. Pineapple kesari, idiyappam, Kara dosa and masala vada are also pretty good. EDIT 2: They have excellent customer service. Topolino's is really great! I have ordered many options now and have not been disappointed. They have a collab with one of the Indian restaurants and make a really great Butter Chicken pizza. Order the Chicken Butter Pizza from Topolinos and this was such a flavorful pizza. I usually like spice and this pizza had the right amount. It wasn't too mild and wasn't too spicy. I'd definitely recommend ordering a pizza from them. This is an amazing place. We discovered it during COVID and it's been an amazing find. I grew up on Indian food and order delivery from lots of Indian restaurants and this is by far my favorite in Seattle. The dosas are amazing (even by delivery) as is the prawn curry, cashew curry, and Paruppu Urundai Mor Kulambu (this really makes me miss home). My only wish is that they delivered to north seattle! But I'll deal with the delivery fees through 3P apps just to get food from here. It's worth it. read more

My husband was recently at the FaveKitchens Sodo location for a pick up and observed that the kitchen staff weren't wearing masks. We have ordered from this place for delivery and enjoyed the food, but this is a cause for concern. We won't be ordering from here anymore. read more

The food is good but their delivery is unreliable. 50% of the time the food is either late by an hour and their delivery guy falsely marks the food as delivered. This happened 3 times and today after waiting for an hour for food, they said they are not sure what happened and the food did not arrive. I was surprised at their lack of concern in this scenario. The food is awesome and authentic. We tried the the moorkoyumbu , masala vada, pakora , gotsu and all of it felt like home

TLDR: The food here is positively disgusting. Here's my detailed review per order (beware, this order was EXPENSIVE and hence made me more emotional than normal, and I've decided to unleash my inner Gordon Ramsey) 1. a masala dosa - the chutneys were watery like juice. At $19 (!!! A rather arrogant price point) per dosa, it seems inexcusable to serve chutneys that are runny , watery and dilute - it was almost as if they diluted it by 3x just to cheap out. How much money do I have to pay for them to not cheap out anymore? $30? $50? HOW MUCH do I have to pay to not be scammed??! Little did I know, this would be the least abhorrent of the dishes I ordered (hence the 2 stars instead of the 1). 2. Palak paneer - the gravy is somehow brown and watery. Extremely over-salted to the point that it made me wince on my first bite. And then the most foul taste followed. I couldn't tell if it was simply stale, or the ingredients are bad, or if the set of flavors combined was an abomination. 3. Malai Kofta - the kofta balls were HARD. They're supposed to be soft and tender. The gray was just as disgusting as described above. More fury: Seattle is already one of the most expensive cities for everything. After a hard day's work and very little sleep, I made the mistake of ordering food that I grew up with from here for a very hefty price. Almost every item on their menu is $20 (the ones with meat are like $25!). For that, I expect them to hold themselves to a certain ethos and produce food with a certain quality. Picked up some Indian food because apparently that was all that was open and we were starving. Super expensive and pretty much no customer service - menu and ordering online only. No place to sit so took it back to our hotel. Hands down the worst Indian food we have ever eaten. That is saying a lot when you are starving. read more

Finally a good Indian place in Seattle that does not charge a fortune for every dish! Dishes we loved were their Biryanis, Amravati Chic, Egg Curry. Recently we realized that other than Indian food, we can also order Thai and Mexican food from here. We tried Tom Ka soup and Pineapple fried rice from the Thai selection and that was great as well. read more
