NEW YORK arrives in Seattle -- Brooklyn style in SoDo! Traveled the world and NY-style pizza is my fav. If that's the same for you, you HAVE TO order from Topolino's Pizza! We ordered half pepperoni and half margherita, which was delivered with refreshing excellence. My mouth was numb from the flavor. I had to close my eyes to take it all in... FaveKitchen is an interesting concept that has provided Topolino's a location after years of success on the Eastside. We picked up piping hot pizza straight from the owner's hands; Zack is great at what he does. Thank you!

FaveKitchens is a quick way/place to get a multi cuisine tasty bite to eat in SoDo area. So far we have tried two Indian restaurants "Aahaan" and "Agraharam". Aahaar Ordered aloo bonda (fried chickpea potato balls), Hyderabadi chicken dum biryani, masala dosa and cheese masala dosa. Fried foods rarely hold up splendidly. Bonda and dosa weren't crispy, but it's OK as they still tasted wonderful. Chicken biryani was filling and delicious. Buried in the biryani, there was a whole cuts of succulent chicken bursting with flavor from the potent array of spices, herbs, and aromatics it's marinated in. Yum Yum. Agraharam Ordered masala dosa. Pretty good. Tasted very similar to Aahaar's dosa.

New Indian place opened up in Seattle. There is a real dearth of good south Indian restaurants that serves good dosas in Seattle. They are takeout only in covid times and offer free delivery for some zip codes if you order directly form them. They have a huge menu and took us some time to decide. We ordered the hyderabadi biryani and mysore masala dosa. We just found the taste to be way too mild for us. I was slightly disappointed but I am willing to give another try to this.

    Mama's Crawfish & Seafood House - Combo II + 1 lb. Shrimp (Head-on) w/ House Special Sauce

Very cute. Very sophisticated. Very "rich auntie enjoying oysters on a work trip." But who was I kidding? Those oysters were NEVER going to fill me up. So I got back to my hotel, got comfortable, and did what needed to be done: ordered Mama's Crawfish and Seafood House. I went with the fried catfish and shrimp basket, which came with fries, coleslaw, and hushpuppies. Now the catfish and shrimp?! Mama did her BIG ONE. Everything was seasoned perfectly, fried well, and exactly what I needed to close out my Seattle trip. I thoroughly enjoyed both. The sides, however, didn't move me. I love fries BAD, but these weren't amazing enough for me to stuff myself when I had perfectly good catfish and shrimp sitting there. I didn't bother with the coleslaw or hushpuppies either. I know where my priorities lie. Overall, Mama's absolutely satisfied the seafood craving. Next time I'm in Seattle, I'd definitely skip the delivery and go dine in so I can get the full experience. Because apparently oysters and wine are just my pre-dinner now.

I ordered the Combo #2, which came with a pound of clams, a pound of shrimp with the heads peeled off. I chose the house special sauce and asked for the hot spice level. But it wasn't that spicy and the sauce needed more of a kick. Both the food and service fell short. The shrimp and clams for the seafood boil were cooked well. However for the price point not so great!

I always add Old Bay on top, and it makes them even better! The time I went, they were really generous with the crab and there were some big chunks of crab throughout, which I loved. I will say that sometimes they can go pretty heavy on the mayo, so if you're not a big mayo fan, I'd recommend asking for it on the side. Overall, it's one of my favorite game-day stops and something I always look forward to getting before a Mariners game!

Granted, they are expensive - coming in over $25 as the base price, but the quality is good. The wonton chips work a lot better than traditional tortilla-chip nachos. They're lighter, crispier, and fit with the cheese and crab better Speaking of the crab, they actually give you a TON of it. That was one thing I did not expect. After eating all the chips, there was a whole lot of crab meat still left. It's nothing crazy in terms of juiciness/flavor, but still pretty good. The cheese sauce thing is less good. It tastes pretty artificial, and doesn't work with the other flavors. Overall, for stadium food and a way to get a ferry boat it's actually not bad. 7/10

But lobster rolls for $20! The value is really good, and the portions are satisfactory for a nice meal. You can pay $5 more for a drink like soda plus fries but we preferred trying something more unique like the lobster & crab bombs which were creamy and deep fried with a small amount of mixed lobster and crab. I'll probably get the garlic crab fries next time. We got the wasabi ponzu lobster roll and Singaporean chili crab roll. The lobster roll has a good amount of lobster and pretty fresh - indistinguishable from a $40 lobster roll in more westernized establishments. The crab roll is good but a bit more one dimensional - it's great for variety but I'd opt for lobster rolls purely in my future visits. The owner is patient and friendly, and while it is more a fast casual place where you order at the front, we still got some service like delivering the food and bussing the tables for us. I'd definitely come back here to try other kinds of lobster rolls - and definitely do not sleep on this place!

I've heard the fries are worth going back for and some of that lobster bisque. Can't wait to come back and try more things!

I ordered the clam chowder and, of course, oysters. The oysters were all amazing, with a great variety to choose from. The restaurant itself is pretty big, though it can get packed during peak hours. It's located on prime waterfront and we dined outside on the deck, which was fantastic, but the food and service left a lot to be desired. We started with the manila clams and they forgot to bring our crostini. By the time they brought it, the clams were getting cold. It was also SO loaded with garlic that it could've repelled 20 vampires. Literally, all you could taste was heavy salt and garlic. The clam linguine also suffered from the same problem. It was a pile of overcooked linguine, and again, heavy on the salt and garlic, light on the pesto. The $65 filet mignon was a joke. Don't ever order this. We asked for it to be prepared medium rare and we received filet that was cut in half and completely well done. Unlike the clam dishes, the steak was under-salted and accompanied by potatoes that were cooked to different levels of done-ness and some chewy asparagus. Dessert was the only thing that we enjoyed. The 9 layer chocolate cake was devine and the best part of our meal. Overall, an overpriced tourist trap and they include a 20% service charge that gets added pre-tax and they pay their server a 12% "commission" off of the 20%. WTF?! Avoid at all costs.
