This place looks amazing with the stone on the outside and inside is nice as well. The menu items looked unusual and delicious and made it hard to decide which entree to order. Our server was good and then the food came. It was mediocre. I was disappointed. It was just ok. The chicken was a bit tough. It seemed like it might have been sitting out awhile. I have been to FD's three times and have had a positive experience every time. I stayed across the street at the Holiday Inn Express, so it is very convenient. All times I have been here the wait has never been over 15 minutes. The menu has a variety of items to choose from. I feel that all food that I have ordered has been exceptionally fresh and made to order. Nothing from under a heat lamp. We were visiting over Christmas so we at here 12/23/2024 and 12/24/2023. We had chicken salad and salmon salad with Key Lime pie the first night. The second night we had another chicken salad and the fish platter with Key Lime pie again! Also, the honey lime dressing is so delicious, thanks to Hallie S for the recommendation. She was a very attentive and welcoming waitress, definitely an asset to the restaurant. So back to the Key Lime pie, well it is good just get it and you won't be disappointed! Also did I mention this place is affordable too. I will attach my receipt. read more

I love this restaurant it's probably my favorite in Springfield. The food is amazing I've never been upset, although it's a little disappointing that they're always out of the New York strip.:( The sirloin makes it easy to get over that. With this being said where this restaurant could use a little work is right at the entrance. Every time I've come in Ella always seems to think I'm invisible, or doesn't care to acknowledge me or my wife . I've came in three times with her as a host and she never said a word to me or my wife. All of the other host are amazing to us and treat us great along with the amazing servers. I think this could be fixed with some coaching or having her removed but I've noticed it not once, not twice, but three times she has no idea how to treat people professionally. We were very pleasantly surprised by FD's. I had the salmon and my wife had chicken with cream sauce. The main dish as well as our veggies were well seasoned and cooked. The service was excellent and the total bill, with wines, was surprisingly low. Will look for more FD's as we travel. read more

My first experience with FD's Grillhouse was the ambiance. Great atmosphere, family-friendly, and staff providing great customer service, the waitress that served us was fast and efficient with our drink refills and making sure we had everything we needed. As for the food, the appetizers were bangin, starting with the fried pickles and ranch providing a nice crispy exterior on the pickles, and the ranch was amazing, then the meal itself was spot on. The chicken strips were great, and the fries were cooked just right. Crispy and lightly salted on the exterior, and the coleslaw was ok. It was a little bland imo. But still on my rating scale from D-SSS, I give an overall score of SS. read more

The fried shrimp seemed to be a pretty poplular item and looked delicious as well. All of the staff were friendly, and the ambience felt like a fancier version of Texas Roadhouse. I can't say enough about this place. It was a cold search for salads and good food after walking the gardens nearby. We were in the area up from Branson and We decided to give it a try and we are happy we did. The food was amazing. Great flavors and cooked perfect. Food was delicious! Great prices! I had the Center cut top sirloin steak. Flavorful, more done than I wanted but still good. House salad is wonderful. Loved the green beans! Hubby had the shrimp gumbo and said it tasty. Son had the chicken tenders and fries. Tenders were crispy and bigger than anticipated, but fries were cold. He also had a rootbeer that we think the syrup was going out on. Serves was good. At times it was slow but it was also busy. Ambiance made you feel like you were in a more expensive restaurant. The food is good, the prices are shockingly affordable as the vibes of the restaurant feel higher end, and the staff (we sat at the bar for dinner so no waiting) was a pleasure to have great conversation with. Thank you Jose and Malik! The Manager Bart even checked on us a couple of times and brought my husband some fried shrimp to try after Hubby realized he accidentally ordered grilled instead of fried. We offered to pay and Bart said absolutely not! The calamari was great, and we opted for the trio so we could try the stuffed shrimp at Malik's recommendation. WOW! Went here because we wanted catfish. The menus listed here are outdated as we discovered after waiting 30 minutes on a busy Friday at 6:30 pm. The new menu has eliminated a lot of items. We ordered margaritas very good plenty of alcohol. Fried pickles good light batter and not soggy. We only ordered the trio alaskan fish (cod), shrimp and crab stuffed shrimp. They had a unique corn meal batter it was good but not anything like any other restaurant has for fried food. The crab stuffed shrimp was pretty spicy but good. Prices are reasonable and staff was friendly, attentive and answered questions. Even with the limited menu we will return on a less busy day. I'm adding the current menu to pictures. I was shocked by the way I was treated today inside the restaurant. The lady who took my order was very nervous and didn't like anything and didn't want to take my order. When she took the order, I waited for a long time and two customers came after me and their order was prepared before me and I was waiting for my order.
