This was our first visit here. We found it on Yelp and decided to give it a try for our 30th anniversary lunch. Wonderful atmosphere, fabulous service, incredible food. So glad we stopped. The only negative was even though the place and restroom were exceptionally clean, the tile floor was VERY slippery. I'm hoping no one slips and falls, glad we didn't! We started with two appetizers, the hot shrimp and crab dip with charred pita wedges (5 stars) and the hubs wanted to try the gumbo. His cup of gumbo was loaded with goodies, but he did think adding the cooked shrimp right before serving keeps that flavor from absorbing into the shrimp (4 stars). He had the grilled brisket taco on a flour tortilla with the house made cole slaw. Both were excellent. He said the cole slaw was some of the best he's ever had. I opted for the Trio and chose grilled shrimp, fried shrimp, and salmon. It came with two sides. My choices were the loaded baked potato and fresh asparagus. Great selections! The Firecracker shrimp are a delicious appetizer. The FD trio gives you the ability to choose from 3 mains and 2 sides. I went with the grilled lemon shrimp, Crawfish Étouffée and the Salmon. We were seated at 8:30, ordered our drinks and an appetizer for a party of 5 and one child. We received our drinks and nothing else for over an 30 min! I had to go ask the host to check on our appetizer, as our waitress had basically disappeared! The host came back and told us they had to make another batch of the crab and shrimp dip, then the manager came out and asked what the problem was. When we told her, she just stated, "It just got finished." We said to cancel the order, we'll just pay for the drinks. She said ok, and that was it! I ordered online so it could be easier to pickup. (I have done this before no issues) I get me bacon cheese burger. Open it up and it's not what I ordered. Had to run back over there, the General Manager Adriana greeted me with "what seems to be the problem" instead of hello. I know mix ups happen so I wasn't going in trying to cut anyone's head off. She then is scolding me about what's wrong with it, and then asking me "is this even your na. Before I could take it out in front of other customers she takes it and says it will be fixed. I wait for a few minutes for her to then say "everything on the burger is right. I don't understand the issue. There were about 2-3 problems with it. The patty was breaking apart, it had fried jalapeños (she tired to say it was fried pickles), and it had a brown sauce on it I only asked for Mayo. She then starts arguing with me in the middle of the lobby about how it's "everything I asked for" I didn't even ask for 2 of those items on my burger. I wasn't going to argue with someone with the quality of their food. I asked for a refund and then when she came back to give me the receipt she still wanted to have the last word. I was extremely disappointed in this establishment today due to my previous experience being excellent, I don't feel comfortable continuing to dine there with someone that high up acting like that. read more

Both service and food were excellent. We had salmon, catfish, shrimp, gumbo and more. Each was outstanding. Do not miss the key lime pie for dessert. Whether you want steak, seafood, or a combination, this place has it. Hushpuppies are great. They will also substitute items if you want. They go out of their way to make your meal a great experience. I highly recommend them. I drive from Salado (40 miles each way) and do it gladly. read more

For lunch, I got the trio with salmon, shrimp, and crawfish étouffée. Husband got the filet with stuffed shrimp. For the prices you get what you order from the quality of the food. The taste of the food was all really good. I would say that if you wanted to try something different that is similar to maybe a Chili's or the like this is a good place. We would go back if we were on that side of town, wanted something different than what you would get in your other chains, and not looking to spend a bunch of money for lunch. read more

I came here on Sunday around 4pm. Since it's one of the only nice restaurants open in this town on Sunday it was pretty crowded. We waited probably 5-10 minutes. It's a fancier atmosphere but with casual clientele. The service was a bit slow. They left an index card on our table which we couldn't figure out. It was also hard to differentiate the waiter from the bus-boy so that made it hard for us to figure out tip. But our waiter was so nice! We got the deviled eggs appetizer which were delicious. We also got salads to start, which were generous portions and tasty. I got the salmon with veggies and a baked potato. The salmon was perfectly cooked, and seasoned well. I loved the little salad underneath that had apples in it. The ribs were also great! I'd come back here for sure. read more

The food was tasty. We had fish and chips and firecracker shrimp tacos. Love the firecracker shrimp. Service was quick and polite. The only negatives were: it was so dark in there it was difficult seeing where you were going(a safety hazard) and the lemon in the ice was thin round slices, making squeezing them difficult plus I sent them back because they were slimy (yuck). We haven't been here in some time, but I read a good review and decided to try again. First off, we had a wonderful waitress, and the wine and salad was good. The meal was cold, salmon over cooked, and shrimp tasted off. We did tell a manager who just came on. We were starving, so we ate it because we didn't want to wait for it to be cooked again. Long story short, the waitress tried to get us a discount, which they refused but gave us a $50 gift card that we gave to our waitress for trying to help us get a discount. Ok, what a great place. Perfect combo of fancy-feeling but you don't actually have to dress up. Ambiance was classy and calm, had an amazing booth and a quiet meal. Food was delicious, steak specifically, and reasonably priced. Our waiter was incredible, attentive but without hovering, filling our drinks and apps when needed, and just generally being kind and hospitable. I went here with a friend and was craving some fatty food!! Our server was really nice and gave us great service! We both ordered the chicken parmesan and their house salad and my little one had their pasta. The chicken parmesan was delightful. I think I was biased because I was starving. At first they brought my kid's food out without any sauce but the server came immediately and remedied this. All I can say is that we ate it all and were very please. The manager Brian is amazing. Unfortunately our waiter went home due to not feeling good. She was a great server and we have nothing bad to say about her at all. Even the employee that stepped up to feel her place was outstanding. From the customer service all the way down to the food was outstanding. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food. Not one single complaint. Brian goes above and beyond with his customer service and positive attitude when dealing with the customers. Not just Brian though, everyone in the restaurant went above and beyond to make sure everyone had what they needed. Really worked great as a team when one went home sick. I'll be back. Had a Mother's Day lunch outing here during the quarantine this year. Not only was I happy to get out of the house, but I was happy to enjoy lunch at a restaurant that was prepared to be open again amidst the recent chaos. FD's was set up and prepared to maintain social distancing guidelines and offer great service. Service staff were wearing appropriate PPE and their demeanor couldn't have been any happier. We never went without refills and everything was quite prompt. I ordered the beer-battered chicken tenders with fries and coleslaw. I was happily surprised at how fresh everything tasted. The coleslaw was sweet and had a ton of crunch from the fresh ingredients. The tenders were crispy and cooked perfectly. The fries were crispy and had a lot of flavor. It was a very nice entree and there was plenty of food for the price. This whole experience was great in the middle of everything going on and I'm looking forward to going back to try more. read more

This restaurant has truly become a disappointment. Our food has come out cold the past few visits, and service has gone down as well. Staff is very friendly but this is not the place to go for a quick and quiet hot meal. Food is cold, bland, and low quality. My salad has come out wilted on several occasions. The best thing on the menu is their chicken tenders. I am yet to have a steak cooked correctly at this place either. It's a true disappointment and I don't plan on returning back anytime soon. read more
