I've frequented this Kinko's location a number of times over the years. This past week my computer finally bit the dust and I needed to prepare and print some documents, so off to Kinko's I went. The store is clean, well-organized, and most, if not all, of the workstations are usually available. I set myself up at one, and got to work. Come to find out, the cost for using the computer now, even for something as basic as using Word, is $0.75 per MINUTE. Printing not included. You better work fast, because the charges add up in a hurry. Needles to say, it is cost-prohibitive to work on their computers for any extended length of time. Luckily I only had a couple of docs to type and print, and even with that, I spent $18. Seems a little gougey. That being said, Kinko's is convenient, open most of the day, the store and work stations are well-maintained, the staff is nice, and they have a good assortment of nice office supplies. I'm sure I will be back again at some point, though next time I'll probably bum my partner's computer and printer, and save myself some cash.

Just came from this location where the a seemingly unhappy clerk charged $1.75 PER SIDE on a cutter to trim a printed piece of paper. So to cut 4 sides cost $10 (including a charge to adjust the cutter, meaning just side the guide). Absolutely unacceptable. When I asked how come this cost so much she nonchalantly said I should be grateful she didn't charge me 4x the actual cost because she lined up the 4 pieces of printed paper. I wanted to come here to support local business. Lesson learned. Stay way from this location. There are other options: library, Staples, friends.

Would not accept an item that I've shipped back through four other Fed Exes and specifically includes directions to ship through Fed Ex.

I recently moved, and wanted to keep my new address private to the extent possible…read more Prior to officially updating my address with the United States Postal Service, I checked their policy on their website regarding the sharing of address information. From the USPS site: 'We do not sell customer or mailing lists to outside parties, including marketers. We protect your information under the Privacy Act. We only share your information in the following limited situations: to a congressional office on your behalf; to financial entities regarding financial transaction issues; to a USPS auditor; to entities, including law enforcement, as required by law or in legal proceedings; to customs agencies relating to outgoing international mail; to contractors and other entities to fulfill your product or service; or with your consent.' I came to find out too late that these assurances are completely false and misleading. Immediately after my change of address was processed, I started getting flooded with various solicitation mailers at my new address. I then found out through further research that when you change your address with USPS, they sell your new address to literally hundreds of entities. Please read the July 2013 Forbes article titled 'How The Post Office Sells Your Address Update To Anyone Who Pays (And The Little-Known Loophole To Opt Out)' for a more complete picture of the disturbing reality of the situation. From the referenced article: 'The Postal Service set up its current National Change of Address program, sometimes abbreviated as NCOA, in 1986. Until 2002, the USPS licensed to just 22 companies. After complaints about privacy violations, they reformatted the data to assure only those with the former address could obtain the new information, according to spokesman Roy Betts. That change allowed the postal service to distribute the address changes more widely. Today they license to about 500 companies.' 'USPS justifies the program on the grounds that they don't 'sell' the list but license its use. That is a subterfuge. Supposedly, you only get a new address if you have the old address already. Because data brokers have every household in America in their files, the information goes from NCOA to the data brokers, who flag every change and resell lists of new movers to anyone.' Disgraceful. This is a federal agency funded by citizens' tax dollars, and this is the amount of reverence they treat our most sacred personal information with. Whenever I move in the future, I will never again submit a change of address to USPS. The better course of action is to update your address only with essential organizations you personally do business with, and use a PO Box for a mailing address wherever possible. Live and learn, but we shouldn't have to utilize such work-arounds to gain a basic modicum of privacy. And for the record, I am well aware there is virtually no data privacy anymore, but the government should certainly not be perpetuating the problem - and getting paid for it. There are people, including domestic violence survivors, for whom the consequences can be absolutely dire if their residential information is not kept private. I looked into this further as well, and supposedly there is a program through the state you can apply to in order to keep your address private, but even if you're 'approved', there are no teeth in the rules, and private businesses are not required to honor the request. This must change. Please contact the USPS and your congresspersons directly to voice your concerns about this. privacy@usps.com Or: PRIVACY OFFICE US POSTAL SERVICE 475 L'ENFANT PLZ SW RM 9431 WASHINGTON DC 20260-1101

Not only is this staying up on Yelp this is going to be forwarded to UPS directly. I paid for the service despite me knowing that it was a ridiculous charge and shows why your store continues to be an empty hole-in-the-wall with a most of your reviews being 1 or 2 star complaining about you, in particular. Guess this explains why you only get a paying customer as often as you get a good review for you here on Yelp, in your own words, "once in a while." The original review and response, for context: $4 to print a prepaid label. Terrible wifi so I couldn't even email them the label using their wifi. Why would I need to email the label to you in the first place unless you're not an official UPS Store? I didn't have to pay this fee at another location and a legit store would be able to scan the label from my phone to look it up and print it without charging me. Not coming back.
