I take back my five star review. Just got the worst matcha in my entire life here. There were so many clumps of matcha powder that when I tried to drink it it was utterly undrinkable. They did remake it and still it was nothing special. Added a star for the beautiful and spacious interiors, and bathroom. But no wifi.

Very pretty space with a big seating area. I went on a saturday after 8am and it was pretty busy already. Staff were friendly, although it took a little long to get our drinks. Prices are on the higher end with smaller sizes, but quality and flavor for espresso and matcha drinks were great!

They've kept this place in good condition. Lots of seating and menus everywhere. It once was an Art Deco bank, you can kind of get the feel of that just from looking around. If you look at the mural behind the cash out point it gives you a little touch of history what once happened within these walls. I ordered the salmon toast. It was a little hard but I like the cream cheese was thinly spread not just thrown in like many places. The salmon was good and the mint tasted fresh. The capers were like slightly toasted and crispy, i've never had them like that before and I loved it. I think the toast was just missing a little drizzle of olive oil on top. To be honest, I think the capers were my favorite part. They were just this unique texture. I've never experienced before. I also got an iced lavender chai latte to go. It was so light and delightful, with the perfect blend of lavender. I really enjoyed this place and would totally come back again.

I had to run to work after an appointment so I ordered for takeout. The person taking my order was friendly. I opted for the Lumberjack and a black cold brew. I received the drink very quickly, with a short wait for the sandwich. While waiting, one member of the staff stocking up supplies on the side started chatting with me and then she offered to check up on my sandwich. She came out with it shortly thereafter. She was very friendly and helpful. The sandwich held up well during my 15-minute commute to the office. It is a really indulgent sandwich, with each bite revealing the sweetness and butteriness of the maple crueller, the saltiness of the thick cut bacon, and the savoriness of the cheese and the eggs as the yolks popped. I sipped the cold brew in between bites to cut the richness. It was a very satisfying meal. The Lumberjack is not something I would recommend you eat every day, but it's good as an occasional treat. In the past I've ordered lunch from Daily Provisions via delivery (the "Chefy" salad and the chicken milanese with arugula salad are my favorites), but I might start adding other breakfast sandwiches to the mix.

Wrapped around the block but only took 10 minutes with three different people taking orders. Simply a walk up window so no seating but the streets of New York are prime to walk around and indulge on ice cream. Snagged a regular which is two flavors (though they don't seem to be traditional full scoops). Comes with panna whipped cream, an option of a drizzle, and a topping for crunch. Lots of time to view the menu in line since there are multiple taped to the windows. Cookies n' Panna - this was especially creamy, smooth, and flavorful. Good blend of Oreo cookies with a creamy chocolate overall profile. I'm not sure if I can give enough credit to this flavor but definitely try it. They offer panna on the top of all ice cream for a reason, their panna is delicious and they want to show it off (plus it's in the name like come on, can't be more obvious). Banana Moose Tracks - this had a nice banana flavor but unfortunately I think the cookies n' panna melting a bit on top overpowered the flavor. Hard to fully rate but I enjoyed the other flavor way more and would want to try another flavor instead of this.

When you enter there is a bar you can sit at and two large high top tables next to it. As you walk further in there is a lounge with couches and various sizes tables. The whole space is surrounded by books! Heaven! We ordered a chai, matcha and a ginger cookie. Shout out to the woman taking my order for comping me my drink for my birthday! Everyone from the staff was friendly - I really enjoyed being there. The only thing I would say is someone should come by to check on the tables more often as I had to return other people's abandoned drinks. But you know what first world problems, am I right? Maybe they can have a sign or mention to customers to return their own cups before leaving. I sort of can't imagine why people don't... It is quite popular spot so you need to be very patient and strategic if you want to grab a table, as well as sprinkled with a little bit of luck. We unfortunately got there a little late. I went there at 3pm and hunted for a table and my friend got there by 330pm. By the time we ordered and started drinking our coffees - we were informed the lounge area will be closed at 4pm to prepare for the evening wine bar. Oh right this cafe turns into a wine bar in the evenings! How cool! At 4pm we thankfully grabbed one of the high tables - sharing it with another couple but it was large enough for the 4 of us. The lights dimmed and the atmosphere changed to more intimate. We unfortunately had to leave at 5pm, but I imagined picking up a James Baldwin book, ordering some white wine and enjoying both.... Mmm definitely next time. Maybe sometimes after work - sounds like a great wind down.

The menu is fairly on the basic side - mainly drinks and pastries and there is some sandwiches. We decided to get the hot chocolate with whip cream (the whip cream is very needed). It was very rich, thick and delicious and not "too sweet." The whip cream really makes it more creamy and it does not really add to the sweetness which was good. We also got a side of Salame e Formaggio which I would recommend passing on because the cheese was kind of hard and not that great. The salami was good and honestly I'm not a fan of olives but my friend who liked it enjoyed them. Overall - a cute place to stop by for a hot chocolate and maybe a pastry!

We got a torta caprese (flourless chocolate cake), a sfogliatella, a hot chocolate, and a machiatto. The torta caprese was okay. The sfogliatella, which is supposed to be light and crisp, was clearly stale and chewy, although they warmed it up which was a helpful touch. The hot chocolate was reviewed on Instagram as being super rich and decadent, but it was made from a mix that smelled oddly similar to Swiss Miss. the machiatto was also quite watery. Come here for the vibes, but not for the food.
