However every once and a while I get a craving...so having heard Fellini's had pizza just like New York, we had to go check it out. Service was great and quick...not too many options to overwhelm you but I am sure you could ask for any pizza and they'd make it. Food was ready quick and brought out to us at the outdoor sitting area. The atmosphere and the oldies really added to the experience. So the pizza, it was good. I like the pizza, I'm not a hard pizza customer to please though, so take that for what it is. If it has dough, sauce, cheese, I'm usually happy. The house salad here, for some reason, is what I crave. It is this big, mounded monstrosity that comes with this creamy Italian dressing that I like to save for the pizza crust. The food doesn't blow my hair back or make me wonder if it is live or Memorex or whatever, but it fills that void that sometimes only that salad can fill. The void is in my stomach, not my life or anything, just so you know. Recently had a weird service experience, and it was out of the norm, but we had to wait maybe 25 minutes for our salads to come out when they were dead. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!! Over $50 of food ordered, on my lunch break from work, get there only to be told our order had been GIVEN AWAY! No apology from ANYONE .. told they had to remake order and it would be 10-15 minutes, which it took almost 30, and the first thing out the so-called manager's mouth was "what do you want cause you ain't gettin no free food" .. at no time did ANYONE even ask for free food but you see a group of folks with color in their skin and the first thing you think is we're trying to get free food? No!! I want a simple apology at least but didn't even get that. Trust and believe this matter will be taken much higher than him. I'm sure the manager was thinking we're just some nobodies but little does he know .. be careful how you treat people. You never know who they are and who they know but he soon will find out. I have lived in Atlanta for 2.5 years, and I have heard SO much about how amazing Fellini's is...well, I was not impressed. The pizza tasted average at best to me. My girlfriend and I had the Sicilian pepperoni and the regular pepperoni pizza, and it was just ok. She actually still prefers Dominoe's. For me, maybe it's my experience in Italy or the years that I lived in Chicago that tainted my view of the pizza here. Also, BACON IS NOT AN OPTION! We take-out Fellini's pizza and salad frequently, has always been consistent! This last time we got the salad home and there were no black olives, green olives or tomatoes, bummer! Really not a big deal, except when I called and asked about it the manager tried to explain to me why 1/2 the salad was missing. A simple apology would have worked. Every other Friday night for over five years running, we drove 22 miles from our home in suburban Johns Creek to the Fellini's in Decatur...it was a ritual that we loved and looked forward to. We were regulars, and the people at the counter knew us. In 2010, I wrote a very positive Yelp review for this location, and we told all our friends about the place. We almost always ordered the same medium pizza with pepperoni and Italian sausage, but then, one fateful Friday night over a year ago, something dreadful happened: the owners decided to swap out their delicious sliced Italian sausage for a crumbled variety with about as much taste as recycled paper napkins. Honestly, the resulting pizza fell far short of many frozen grocery varieties. I mentioned this to an employee at the counter, and he listened and nodded, then said they'd had many complaints about the sausage and gave me a number to call at the Fellini's office. I admit that I never called. The whole thing makes me sad...one small change like this effectively neutered one of the best pizzas in Atlanta. I hope someone at Fellini's comes to their sausage senses, but until then, we have had to find local alternatives. Yes, we're saving gas, but I miss that pie. read more

My daughter and I had eaten at Felini's Decatur before and had a good experience. Okay, so now fast forward... I called for a take out order. I ordered a large Spinach, Mushrooms, Fresh Garlic, Extra Cheese pizza and added Spicy Italian Sausage. I was very excited, but was so disappointed when I got home. The pizza was so greasy and had way too much salt. I guess I was expecting them to make my pizza from scratch, but it seemed they just threw some sausage on top of a pre-made pie. Needless to say, I ate a slice, gagged from the grease and salt, and had to throw the rest of the pizza away. What a waste! read more

My favorite pizza place! I was looking for this for a while. Being from NY, I have a certain standard of pizza I can accept. This place nails it! The closest thing to TRUE NY pizza in this state hands down. All of those other places are embarrassing themselves saying they serve NY pizza! And the funniest thing is that this place doesn't even advertise that it serves NY style pizza! The people are interesting. I wouldn't say friendly. But they do what they're supposed to. It was my niece's birthday, and her favorite food is pizza, so my brother called and ordered two. Nothing special, just a cheese and a pepperoni, but that's not why I'm leaving a review. When we got to Fellinis, we were told it would be ready in just a couple of minutes. We waited on the patio because they said they would yell our name when it is ready. So while we're waiting, we're watching the chefs, because when we came in, we didn't know it was busy. But those two chefs are a really good team. We saw the shorter white guy open the oven and take a pizza out and the taller Hispanic guy had a box ready for him, then the Hispanic guy grabbed a pizza out and the white guy had a box for him. They just went back and forth helping one another out and packing up food. When they called our name we walked inside and grabbed ours. We spoke to the cashiers, complimenting them and found out they're from a different store, and that usually there's a third person helping them out. Those two were so coordinated with each other it was like they were dancing to have all the food ready. I don't know how a third person could even be of any help-- they'd just get in their way! The pizza was really tasty too but we were way more impressed by how they worked. I doubt that they're the best pizza makers in all of Decatur and Atlanta (they could be), but they're definitely the best team I've ever seen. I mean it was like one exhaled and the other inhaled. Their work ethic was incredible. My brother and I were talking about them after my niece opened her gifts, and we decided to leave a review. I love this location even though I live closer to the one in Candler Pk. It's quieter and everyone is nice from the person on the phone to the people at the counter. This is one of the neighborhood places we can count on on a regular basis for consistent quality and friendly service. My son always gets a black olive, green pepper pizza so I usually get a slice of vegetarian. Last night I splurged and tried a slice of the Sicilian and it was massive. They never skimp on toppings. Ok were out of town and wanted to eat at the Pizza store. Because of Covid they will not seat anyone in the store which is a poor Covid response plan. We sat outside until the rain and lightning started already into eating our pie. We asked if we could stand at an empty center table to finish our pizza and beer and were told an affirmative no. We were only ones in the place trying to eat. We finished our beers and left to never return to this place again. We love Felinis and have been coming for years. We love the pizza, calzones and salad!! We would give 5 star for food. 3 star is for the following: We order takeout probably once a week. In the past they used to let you come up to the side cash register to pickup your takeout order. It was quick, easy and efficient. However in the past month the main line has been long when you enter and they really have not had a clear line for takeout order people to pickup. Therefore the pickup part has not been fun. Here's an idea. Put up signs. One says "Place New Orders Here." The other says "Pick-up Takeout Here." That would really be helpful! We do really love the restaurant we just want our weekly takeouts to go smooth! read more

A couple of colleagues and I had lunch at Fellinis this past Tuesday. I had the Hawaiian Pizza, one had the special and the other, build your own. Building one's own turned out to be a big mistake. The pizza looked as though it had no cheese. My colleague sent it back, asked for cheese and got charged 50 cents. Wow! The waitress said our owner is "hard on us and we have to charge." Food was decent, but that lack of service ruined the experience. The restaurant charged an extra $.50 for something that should have been on the pizza in the first place. Be careful that nickels and dimes don't add up to dollars of lost business. read more

A slice of Fellini's pie has so much potential, you guys. If they would cook it for 120 seconds more, it might be a fine meal. But for some reason, every Fellini's is scared of cooking pizza all the way. Maybe they get in trouble or something. Last week I had a slice with pepperoni and black olives, and the cheese was so unmelty that all the olives slid right off when I tried to pick it up. Also there were a zillion signs about how food takes a long time and you should be patient about it, and I don't understand. Fellini's pizza is good, no doubt. But eating there, at this renovated Greyhound station, is really the way to enjoy your meal. When your slice(s) come out of the oven and arrive at your table, they are hot, crispy, and so delicious. Favorites are white slices with mushrooms, garden slices, Hawaiian slices...all so good. Great pizza, and I love the house salads too. The pizza is very consistent, especially if you don't order by the slice. Everything about the pizza is good; including the crust, tasty sauce, and fresh toppings. The house salad is big for one person and can easily be shared between two, especially if you're planning on putting away some serious pizza. The creamy Italian dressing, which is the default, is really good and the salad comes with a hand-full of mozzarella on top. Fellini's is my all-around favorite pizza place in Atlanta, and in my opinion at least, is in the running for the best pizza in town. read more

I normally go to Fellini's at least three times per month, but I'll never go back. I ordered a Sicilian slice and while I was eating it; I felt something tickle my lips, it was hair. I had to pull it out of my mouth; it was a long strand of straight brown hair. Totally ruined my stomach; I threw it out and will never eat there again.
