I used to frequent the franchise in Buckhead, and remember it being pretty good. The time I tried this location was very disappointing. My pizza took about an hour to prepare and the crust was soggy on the bottom. The veggies were tasteless. It was just bad. We had a really good pizza that was served quickly and at the perfect temp. It was a bit too salty for both our tastes, however, but may have been the nature of the cheese on the specialty pizza. I've been going to this location for years and will continue the now tradition. Nothings better than NY style pizza and this is the best you will find on this side of town. The toppings are fresh and the service is usually snappy. The calzones are super legit too. Only downside is the price. Ordered 3 pizzas, drove over to pick them up and realized it was not our order. Called them and drove back to pick up the correct order...guess what wrong again. Instead of 2 pepperoni pizzas they tried to give us 2 cheese pizzas. When questioned they simply added some pepperoni and put them back in the oven. Now that burned the crust. Great pizza, yummy house salad, fun atmosphere. Thin slices and maybe a tad greasy (you can skip the extra cheese) but really good. The felini's special, Hawaiian and white pizza are all great. As a bonus they'll cut your kid's slices into small pieces which is nice for the parents. read more

The BEST pizza in Atlanta. Ours wasn't a planned trip to Fellini's, more of a "oh hey, pizza - pull in here" encounter. Hands down the BEST pizza I have ever had in my life. Better than New York (gasp, I know). Better than the pizza in South Florida where I lived and most eastern New Yorkers retire or transplant to. (Some pizza places even ship water from NY to FL to try and recreate NYC style crust.) The crust was AMAZING. I have never wanted a food induced coma so much in my life. The sausage pizza was simple, yet amazing. The cheese was straight from the dairy god Bessie herself. Everything tasted the same as regular pizza....but yet so much better. I honestly couldn't believe how good the cheese tasted, how crisp and chewy the crust was, how the sauce had the perfect amount of garlic and another sprinkle of magic flavoring that left me just wishing my stomach could handle more than 2 slices. If i were to ever move to Atlanta, it would be so I could have Fellini's 7 days a week. read more

I hope this was a one time experience, but I have been eating Fellini's for 15 years. I purchased a pizza today. The Fellini's special. The cheese has always been thick and white, but today the cheese was thin and had a yellow tint to it. The dough was tough as well. I spend good money to buy a good pizza. Poor customer service! I sat & waited patiently for 45 minutes only to be told that my ticket was misplaced! They weren't very busy at all. This is as good as pizza gets, and coming from New York that says a lot!!! I had a ham and pineapple slice and a mushroom slice and was barely able to finish. Slice sizes are great. I split a Greek salad which was also very very good. Can't wait to go back to Decatur and have some more. read more

I have absolutely no idea why this place is popular and always crowded. I've seen Fellinis almost everyplace in Atlanta and I always wondered what the hype was. We came with a large group of friends here for a birthday dinner because we thought it would be easy, convenient, and safe. However, it was extremely crowded and filled with huge mobs of little kids all hyped out. There were tables of at least 5-10 youngsters everywhere... where all the kids were going crazy over "pizza!!!!!" It was actually amusing to watch while our party congregated. But, I just felt like I was in a war zone of germs by a quick glimpse of the things kids were doing with their food, their nose, their mouth, and the table. I don't even want to bring up seating because you saw the beast in everyone come out when you would go near an open table and someone would angrily blurt that they had been waiting for that table long before you, though they were no place near the table when it opened up. It took us forever to get to the front of the long line just to order and then it was over an hour before all of our ONE slices of pizza came out all at hugely different time periods. We basically all were rotating eating alone while everyone else watched like vultures. The servers wanted to take our number without our food being served... what a disaster that would have been if we didn't chase the guy down in the midst of heavy conversation. The pizza itself was just a mess of stuff compiled on bread with plasticy looking cheese sprinkled on top. I actually make better pizzas at home myself for cheaper and with more ingredients, so I'll just stick to my usual homemade personal pan pizzas from now on. read more

I would definitely like to speak with a corporate rep if possible. I visited this Fellini's as usual after a gym session but I forgot my shirt at home. I had a cardigan that I threw over my shoulder. Several associates walked pass and seen me as I was and nobody said anything about it. One associate came from behind the counter after 15 minutes of waiting in line and stated "put your shirt on" in a rude manner. I was reluctant to do so as it is 90 degrees, but I proceeded to put my sweater on. I turned to my girlfriend and stated "he could've said it nicer" under my breathe and the associate approached me stating" excuse me, you can leave". I told the associate that I was not speaking to him and he proceeded to step in my woman's face, preventing us from ordering after I put the sweater on as requested. I have never experienced anything like this in my whole 4 years of coming to Fellini's since I moved down from New York, I dont hold the whole franchise responsible, only the actions of that associate. My girlfriend and I love this place! It is also very convenient since I live across the street from this location. We love their pizza, their calzones... not so much.
