Place is in a great location with surrounding food places. Stopped by after having dinner and it was pretty busy for a Thursday at 8:30 PM. I ordered the strawberry overload with boba. It took awhile to get it but it was pretty good. The people after me didn't have boba in their drinks because they ran out. It makes sense why my boba was very fresh. The tea itself was okay, I feel like it could have been a little sweeter. I was surprised it wasn't that sweet since I asked for 100% sweet. Overall it's a great place to have drinks with friends and desserts. Pretty clean inside and plenty of seating. read more

Ordered takeout on Yelp through grubhub. Specifically came for a drink & came across their cute cakes... Wow the Oreo cheesecake was delicious! Moist & perfectly sweet. There were several cake flavors to pick from and I'm happy with my choice. I ordered the crème brûlée dirty boba with less ice and 75% sweet. It hit the spot. After eating both items, I noticed the "crème" on the the drink tasted similar to the crème on the cake except torched. Can't complain bc it was yummy! Lastly the items were ready 5min earlier than the estimated availability and were packaged nicely. read more

Celebrated National Boba Day with some Feng Cha! I visited for the Yelp Elite Event they hosted recently, and went home with a few more drinks to take home. This Feng Cha location is super modern and looks clean and newly renovated, and has a great ambiance! There's loads of parking around the area - I visited on a Friday afternoon and was met with a line almost out the door, but the cashier moved quickly and we only waited about 5-7 minutes. We ordered the Dirty Boba (w/ Fresh Milk), Taro Milk Tea, Oreo Cheese Milk Tea, and Mango Breeze and I got to try the first two drinks! + Dirty Boba w/ Fresh Milk (4/5): The Dirty Boba is essentially a brown sugar boba, and they give you the option of having it (1) with fresh milk, or (2) with black tea. I opted for the fresh milk. It was on the sweeter side; I'd definitely adjust my sweetness the next time I visit. The boba could've been a little softer too, but I really enjoyed the creme brulee topping it came with! + Taro Milk Tea (3/5): The drink came out pretty thick which wasn't the greatest, but it had a strong tea flavor that gave it a nice taste. Feng Cha also sells a bunch of milk foam cakes that sound good and look equally as great on the screens, so I definitely plan on trying these out the next time I visit. Overall, it was a pretty solid experience and I loved the variety of drinks they offered so we'll certainly be back! read more

Pretty standard boba spot. Ordered the Oreo cheese milk tea with boba. I thought it would have a more Oreo taste but it was just sprinkles of crushed Oreo on top of the cheese cream/foam. The matcha cake was tasty. But pretty much just tasted like store bought cake. The matcha cream however was pretty good at first the flavor was really light, but as I continued to eat more of it, it became a little more noticeable. Also ordered the popcorn chicken plate. Which comes with popcorn chicken, rice, and 2 veggie egg rolls. Pretty much what I expected. Chicken seemed to have been fried with the basil leaves so there were a bunch of crunchy, crisp leaves that broke apart into my dish. The serving size is more than enough for 2 people. They definitely didn't skimp out on the portions. read more

2/23/22 I removed my previous review regarding their hours after receiving a personal request from the owner. Apparently, the shorter hours were because it was their "soft opening," and as of February 16th, they are now open until 10 p.m. daily. We arrived shortly before 7 p.m. and ordered a Dirty Boba and Matcha with Cheese Foam. Both were as good as we've had before, but next time, I will definitely ask for less ice. It's a good thing that they extended their hours because there were several boba seekers that came in after us. read more

This feels like a cool hip bubble tea shop in a small plaza. They have a nice website and you can order ahead and pick up in the store. I did that and got a bunch of drinks for my friends and me. I got the classic milk tea with boba and thought it was decent. It's not watered down or anything. Boba was a little harder than I'd like but otherwise still fine. Oddly the website actually didn't have any customization options regarding ice or sugar so I just wrote in the comments "less sweet" -- I still thought the drink was a little bit on the sweet side but still fine to drink! This boba shop seems to specialize in fruit drinks so I'll try those next time. They look very fresh! read more

Drinks are good, but the self-order machine is not working very well. I thought I have ordered successfully and waiting for 15mins and turned out my order was not placed, and have to re-order again. For self-order, you put your name, but the staff won't call your name instead it call for an order number, which you may not know what number you are after the order was placed (at least, it's not clear after I placed the order). It leads to confusing when you are taking the drinks. I mis-taken other people's drinks as we have very similar order. I love this store a lot in the past, but I feel like the store is lacking of good management in the last couple years. The drinks are 4.5 stars, but the management is only 2 stars. read more

Great place to stop by for teas and beverage. The interior has plenty of seating from booths to tables. You can order at the counter or at the kiosk. I have the grapefruit spa and other had boba tea . My drink is good size and looks very pretty with a big piece of grapefruit inside . However the tea itself has no taste no flavor. This tea spot sells desserts and boba drinks. My friend and I decided to come here for fruit tea after having lunch nearby. Atmosphere: Pretty spacious inside but a bit dim. They have indoor seating. They have the big cute brown bear sitting on the bench near the entrance inside! You can take pictures with it! I love the Christmas music they were playing for the holidays! Service: Friendly staff. Quick and efficient. Got our drinks in a few minutes. Drink: I got the Grapefruit Overload, which had grapefruit and green tea, with 70% sugar and 30% ice. It was very refreshing. It could go a little sweeter since I like sweet drinks xD There were real slices and chunks of grapefruit. I loved eating the chunks of grapefruit since they weren't too sour. Feng Cha is one of our favorite milk tea shop in the Bay Area! We haven't been here since COVID so we were super excited to come back after 1.5 years. The drinks come out in a reasonable amount of time and are served in nice, durable cups. My fiance got the usual which is their famous dirty boba. It's not too sweet, the brulee was creamy, and the boba was soft. We can't not get this when we visit. I tried the four seasons tea with matcha milk foam 50% sweetness and less ice. Get the drinks with 50% sugar and 50% ice.. this is the perfect ratio. However, I'm sure any ratio would be great for this drink. The Dirty Boba tasted exactly like creme brulee or a cake! Probably the best milk foam in the bay area. The sweetness level was just right. Surprisingly, the Classic milk tea was phenomenal. You can taste the distinctiveness of the tea. I didn't know that there was a boba place on this block until I was invited to Yelp Event week. This was my first perk as Yelp Elite and I was so glad that I was able to join several elites in checking this place. This place has a nice and cozy sitting area for indoor dining. There's a tablet on the counter where you place your order and gives you a number to queue. It's contactless and very easy to order Both I and my wife ordered the Dirty Boba it's one of their famous ones and we decided to try it. It's not sweet and not overpowering once you take a sip. The boba is good and soft. I loved the way they mixed the brulee with this drink. There are a lot of choices on the menu and I can't wait to come back and try them. I have been a loyal customer of Feng Cha for 5 years and I always order the same item: Taro milk tea, 0% sugar with taro cream foam. Lemme tell you guys, this drink hits the cravings EVERY TIME - I am literally salivating as I describe this. The taro flavoring they use has just the right amount of sweetness and creaminess that invites you to take another sip. It's so delicious that I've gotten my circle hooked on this drink too. I dropped a star because there was a time where my drink had a beard hair strand in it...uhmm I didn't order that as a topping. This establishment is at an interesting location. Not the easiest to find, but at least there's a parking lot so that's a plus. It seems to be a popular place as we sat at one of only two tables indoors and plenty of customers came in afterwards. I have only recently gotten into tea with foam. Happy Lemon was a good start, and this place is providing some good competition. I like how the main and signature items are the tea with foam. Relatively simple menu: pick your tea, your foam, toppings. Each is priced accordingly. I ended up picking Lightly roasted oolong as the tea base, and true to its name, the tea was definitely on the lighter side. I should have picked tieguanyin instead with a stronger tea flavor. Oh well, next time. The drink was good - very refreshing, but again, wish the tea was stronger. I would come back. read more

Highly highly recommend coming for the Dirty Boba! It's a brown sugar fresh milk drink with a carmelized creme brûlée milk foam top. Mix well! They only have one size now (large) and is $6 per cup, but it'll be the creamiest and most satisfying boba if you're in the mood for a hearty drink. I like mine at 30% sweet and light ice as the sweetness from the boba is more than enough for me. They use lactose-free milk which is such a win for us Asians. This location is in the middle of nowhere, but there is plentiful parking on the street or in their shared lot. Their boba dessert is quite tasty as well, but unsure how that would fare as takeout. They never pick up their phones, so just go in and order; ordering through Yelp yields higher pricing unfortunately. read more

My boyfriend and his sisters highly recommended Feng Cha, located in the Downtown Newark area. It's located right on the main street; at first I didn't realize there was a parking lot right next to the shop, so I ended up parking on the street, my bad! When we got there, the shop was bright and spacious, really nice vibes inside. Everything on the menu looked pretty good so I had a tough time deciding what to get LOL. I think I ended up deciding on the Classic Boba Milk Tea, which was pretty good and standard! I do wish I tried one of their fruity drinks though, everyone else got that instead and it looked super refreshing. I enjoyed the taste of my drink, the tea flavor was strong and boba was soft and perfectly chewy, just how I like it! Overall, pretty solid spot, I'm glad that there's more and more boba spots opening up in Newark. My sister and I were soo excited to try this boba cake however they didn't have the flavor we wanted at that time (pre covid), so we got the sea salt pearl cake. Presentation: 5/5, It looks super cool and pretty, very instagram/snap worthy!! Location: 3/5, Was a bit difficult to find parking and the shop is facing the street so you have to walk around. The shop itself is big however I think they also share it with the food place next door, so it's extra big. I'm so glad to find this Boba teahouse, and it has become my go to place whenever I need to grab a boba, and it's open until 10 pm! They have milk based boba, coffee based boba, tea based bobas, but more importantly they have dairy alternatives, which is perfect for folks like me, who can't have dairy, but want some milk based boba. Note: although just a couple of their drinks cannot be adjusted, but that's okay. I have tried the milk based boba with oat milk - crème brûlée dirty boba, Mango Fantasy, mango breeze. And non milk bobas (most of them available either hot or cold) - Chrysanthemum ginger honey tea - hot one is perfect to get some relief if you have an itchy or sore throat, and Overflow grapefruit. And I loved each of these! My hubby, who never took much interest in boba drinks, after trying boba drinks here, asks to get one for him, everytime I make a run I also like the fact that I can adjust my ice level and sweetness level, which is perfect, since I don't prefer too cold or too sweet, and thus my drinks are always perfectly customized to my requirements. I bought my friends here since this place popped up on my radar when I searched for soufflé pancakes. I thought the milk foam cakes looked very much like soufflé and expected 'foam' cakes. Unfortunately these are just normal vanilla cakes with a cheesy milk topping. Would not recommend the Oreo or the strawberry flavors. However they redeemed themselves on the dirty boba! Stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon with family. It looks small on the outside but there's plenty of room inside. We ordered a dirty boba (brown sugar) and a jasmine green tea with milk foam. Both were good! They're really sweet though so make sure to adjust the sweetness level if you need to.
