My husband said excuse, we're looking to buy a washer and dryer. The guy said WHAT! I found that to be rude for a salesperson to say to a customer who is trying to inquirer about their products. I was ready to walk but my husband insisted that the prices were low enough and to let him handle it, so I did. The lady who also worked there was bilingual Spanish and English. She was courteous and tried to assist my daughter and I by answering our questions politely. We picked a washer and dryer. Then noticed the cord was missing to the dryer so we selected a different dryer. Note that there were stickers on the washers and dryers that listed basic specs. We ask about warranty. We were told that there would only be 1 year warranty but we could pay $150 3yr. extended warranty. I asked for a copy. The guy fiddled around and then began acting like he didn't understand so I explained that I wanted the warranty to the lady and then she translated to the guy. The guy had a little boy there who was about 7- or 8 and he was trying to translate speaking English very well. My husband again decides we will just pay for the items. I was uncomfortable and felt as if we should run because the business was coming across very shady and not legitimate (like scammers). We leave the store just before closing on a Friday night, 11/29/2024. When we get to my daughters' home before removing the dryer from our truck we noticed that the dryer is gas. The place where my daughter is staying doesn't have a gas hook up to install the dryer. We never unloaded the dryer. We took the dryer back to the store to exchange it for an electric dryer. The same guy was not nice and told us we could t exchange the dryer. He wasn't flexible at all. We were leaving the Virginia area to head back to New Jersey that same night and couldn't wait until Monday. The original packing was intact. He ended up calling a lady who spoke English. She told my husband that she would try to help with exchanging but it would have to wait until Monday. Then the guy said if we had come back to the store by 12noon Saturday he would have been able to help. Now he is making up the rules as he goes. It was 1:03pm when we arrived at the store. We are now stuck with this gas dryer. We still needed a dryer so we had to go buy one at a reputable business. The lower price ultimately cost us 3x's the price. Go to Lowes they were having a Black Friday sale and the service was professional and quick. Horrible Service, layers about warranties, unprofessional, and if you don't speak Spanish definitely don't go here because the short Sales guy is rude, not customer friendly and the business is all around shady.

East Coast Appliance has been a total disappointment and I would avoid buying here at all costs!…read more The story begins with my husband and I needing a new refrigerator for our summer rental. The ice maker was no longer working in our old refrigerator. We went to East Coast Appliance in search for a new one. We repeatedly reiterated to the salesperson that we needed a refrigerator that would make lots of ice because of the number of the people in summer rental every week. The salesperson told us he had just what we needed. He insisted the refrigerator he showed us would make lots of ice. No worries he said. We even commented how large and how perfect the large compartment was at the bottom of the fridge that we thought was for ice. Our salesperson should have corrected us if it was not a compartment for "refrigerator made ice". We purchased the fridge and had it delivered the next day. We had to return home immediately following, the next day delivery, so we didn't get to check out how much ice it made until 3 weeks later when we returned. We were totally surprised when we found out it wasn't making any ice except what came of the outside door where the water output is! We were even more shocked when we called to find out how to get the ice machine working that there wasn't one offered with the model we purchased. After multiple calls trying to speak to our salesperson, we were told that the model we purchased does not even have freezer ice maker. According to our salesperson and his associate we were told that no kitchen-aide refrigerator has a freezer ice freezer maker-WHAT?!? We wanted to return this new unused "no ice-making" refrigerator and so we went to the store to confront and resolve this issue. We were told that it was too late to return the refrigerator and there was nothing they could do about it. They did not give us any way to resolve this issue other than buying a new refrigerator. Needless to say, we are not happy with this establishment and do not recommend their business.

I needed a specific Sherwin Williams color and thankfully the nice lady in the paint department was persistent. She found the paint after several searches. But then the next two difficult questions followed, which sheen and how much paint? I anticipated the quantity question. However, uncertain on the sheen type. I figured it would be easier to show staff than to explain. So with anticipation, I took pictures of my shutters and measured my shutters to have a rough figure of the quantity I might need. Next time I will take video as well, so it's easier to see the texture and determine which sheen is needed or heck, just take a picture of the printed label of the last paint can I purchased of the same color. That makes it incredibly easier. Fortunately, my neighbor was able to assist me to confirm the proper sheen, so I didn't need to drive back home. They have a sample of the various sheen types to compare. The knowledgeable young lady also happily assisted me in deciding tools/equipment for my project. She even caught me while at the self check out to provide the paint stirrers, I had forgot to acquire as I was checking out. The young man (staff) at the self check out also provided great customer service with a smile and possessed a wonderful disposition as well to ensure my transaction reflected my military discount. PS. They already have Halloween paraphernalia. I have no idea why the reaper band duo brought me such joy when I entered the store, but it did. Hardware stores seem to carry the best quality, larger than life Halloween decor.

The delivery arrived 2 hours and 45 minutes late, and despite clear instructions to leave my order at my front door, the delivery driver left my order at the very end of my driveway next to the road. That is not a completed delivery. When I contacted the delivery company, OneRail, I spent over an hour getting the runaround. Instead of taking responsibility, I was met with rude, dismissive, and sarcastic customer service because I expected the driver to complete the delivery properly. The most disappointing part is that OneRail represents Lowe's. As the customer, I didn't choose OneRail--Lowe's did. When Lowe's contracts with a delivery company, customers reasonably expect that company to meet Lowe's standards for professionalism and service. This wasn't simply a late delivery. It was a complete breakdown in customer service from start to finish: nearly three hours late, delivery instructions ignored, my order abandoned at the end of my driveway, and no meaningful effort to correct the mistake. Lowe's needs to seriously reconsider its partnership with OneRail. Every failed OneRail delivery becomes a Lowe's customer experience, and that's exactly what happened here. If this is the level of service customers can expect from Lowe's delivery partner, people deserve to know before they pay for same-day delivery.

But lo and behold, February 24th gets here, and I receive a phone call (late in the evening) indicating my furniture wasn't ready, and to help me avoid having to pay separate delivery costs, I'd receive another call when my furniture set was complete. Expecting my wait time to only be a week or 2 counting snow and ice days, I didn't have a severe issue with it not being ready. It was just a little annoying that no one thought the situation through while I was at the store and asked for next day delivery. Being a new customer and how they readily accepted my choice of delivery date, I figured everything was already in stock at the warehouse..... But, long story short, for the next MONTH, I'd receive a random phone call with news of my furniture not being ready, and here it is APRIL 3, 2015, and I STILL HAVEN'T received my furniture! I haven't even received my weekly phone call yet! I've ordered merchandise from China that have gotten here quicker! It's as if AF has to manually design and custom build each piece of my furniture set instead of simply ordering and having it delivered! I must say I'm utterly flabbergasted at the time I've had to wait. This is absolutely ridiculous. I think the next place I should pay a visit to is NavyFed so I can be issued a refund. The outside box was not damaged by any means 3. Which tells me that Home Depot repackaged a damaged fridge and sent it to my house. I talked to Home Depot support and said that they could have USPS pick up the unit at my house with timeframes ranging from 6am to 8pm. They said I could set the fridge on my porch and USPS can pick it up that way (so someone can steal it and I'm out my refund, no thanks) and then they said I could order another fridge but I would have to pay for it and I can't just SWITCH the fridge out. I said no thanks because I'm apprehensive that the same thing will happen. So I had to take my time, energy and money to drop off this damaged item I paid full price for. I go to the store take it back and process the refund. The next day I check my Home Depot account and realized I was DOUBLE charged for the fridge. $259.67 for fridge + extended warranty and 2 other separate charges - 1. For the fridge $222.59 and 2. $37.08 for the extended warranty independently. I called Home Depot support to tell them I have been double charged and they tell me it must be a glitch but they are processing a refund for the $222.58 and $37.08. I got a call about 10 hours later (20 minutes ago about) for the lady to argue with me on the phone saying that the reason I got called the $259.67 was when they ship the item, but it should have dropped off once I got the item and the $222.58 and $37.08 was the actual charge. BUT get this, she stands ten toes down that I wasn't charged TWICE but yet, she recommends I take it up with my BANK and that everything on their side was handled.. I'm absolutely done with Home Depot. I'm sick of these people wasting my time and doing the bare minimum.

We contacted Kitchen and Shower Expo and had them do the work, which entailed replacing the shower pan, some carpentry work, and retiling the bottom section of the walk in shower ($8k). Less than 2 years later, the grout around the drain for about a foot and a half is COMPLETELY gone, it sags a bit, a cut tile by the drain is broke, and now I see a brown spot developing on the ceiling directly below it, indicating a leak. I am a firm believer that crap happens... It just needs to be fixed. We contacted them, and while yes I understand it is out of the 1 year window, they refuse to fix their issue without almost $1000 payment. Fine... The contract says 1 year, they can do that, even though I feel it is a poor business practice not to see that this as something beyond the contract. As she said, "We have never seen damage that bad in such a short period of time." She says it's lack of maintenance, the 3 other companies that have see it in person say otherwise. Being that, I just want to make sure future customers see what COULD happen to them, and weigh the risks. Now, Star will probably come on here and say we didn't maintain it... The original shower had been here for 51 years, and other that your typical wear and tear, the grout was good condition. She's also going to point out a piece of tile that broke off in the corner of the shower, and insinuate it fell off the side trim because of lack of upkeep. That piece of tile was one of the pieces that broke off around the drain, NOT the side trim. I have inspected the wall trim... No piece is missing. They did a fine job along the wall. No complaints there. So, long story short, 51 years, grout was still good. Kitchen and Bath Expo replace it, and less than 2 years the shower itself is worse than it was before. Is this a one off situation? Maybe. It's up to you if you want to risk it.
