Even though I was releasing the chain brake, it was apparently not being released internally. I brought it back to this location and the owner of this Ace told me they had no certified technician here to service a chainsaw I bought very recently from this location and is UNDER WARRANTY. The owner told me they already called Stihl and the other Ace and everything was good to go at another specified location. We left this store and called the Ace that this owner claimed they spoke with. I was shocked when the other Ace told me no one called their location nor do they have a certified technician to work on this product. I asked the Galena Park Ace to help clarify to me all the confusion. The owner of this Ace was very rude and offered no answer. I asked for assistance on finding a certified technician and the owner hung up on me. I had to do my own research with no help from the place I bought it. I find the info with no help from Ace and take my chainsaw to Land downs Moody off I-10. I drop off for them to service. A few days later I get a ridiculous call from LDM that my chainsaw is not covered. I later discover that info on a chainsaw is done by computer and stored by serial number. I ask LDM for the number to Stihl directly. They give some resistance and finally furnish the number to Blue Mountain Equipment. I contact BME and ask some very direct questions. They in turn say that doesn't sound right, they make some phone calls and get back to me the next day. BME tells me to go pick up my chainsaw and take it back to the place I purchased (Ace) it for a full exchange for a brand new chainsaw no charge to me. I return to LDM and the coordinator there decides to take it upon himself to give me a lecture, tells me he really didn't like me going over his head to get my issue resolved. WTF? Seriously, you are not happy that a customer got taken care of? Collusion much? I was completely insulted and get my chainsaw and leave and head over to this Ace. Upon my arrival I can feel the tension from the owner who goes in the back to avoid helping us. Then has the nerve to send some cronies to exchange it and then tell me this is the LAST TIME THEY WILL SERVICE the chainsaw I bought from them and is still under the factory warranty. They then proceed to shorten my warranty from 24 months to around 22 months without my consent. I return 1 week after this fiasco bc they are close to my house and I go in to buy a chain for the newly replaced chainsaw. The chain I correctly installed was not sharp at all, it was used and resold. I immediately brought it back along with my original chain and got a replacement. They gave me a refund and the owner then had the nerve to tell me I wasn't allowed back in store and I shouldn't have been allowed in to purchase the chain. WTF? Seriously, I never did anything wrong except spend money at THIS ACE!!!!! I will not ever go back! Not even for a screw. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. They are not only not customer friendly but they do not honor legal obligations as a vendor. They have fired all their knowledgeable staff and probably still don't have a Stihl certified technician but who is assembling their Stihl products? A non-certified technician! Stay away from this business, they will go out of their way to rip you off and take advantage of you and if you catch them, you are the problem. Not worth the problems.

At the store, there were several workers behind the counter, but not one person greeted me for several minutes. Finally after about 5 minutes l, one guy looked up at me with a scowl and gave me a nod. I told him what I needed(valve and valve cap) and showed him the picture. He headed to the back, came back with a valve, handed it to me, and then began chatting with other people. I stared at the valve for about a minute, but it didn't look like the right one. I asked him "Is this valve going to fit?" He replied "No". I again showed him the picture, and he said "We don't have that one". So then I said I would just buy the valve cap. Valve cap was $2.25. I didn't have any cash on me, so I handed him my card. He said $5 minimum for a card" in a very gruff voice. So I went to my car and dug around for $2.25 in change. I went back to the store and paid, but the guy didn't want to give a receipt. He said "WHY DO YOU WANT A RECEIPT FOR A $2 PART". I explained to him that I needed it for taxes. He got mad and said he would charge me extra for a receipt. He raised the price to $2.44. Apparently the extra charge was for sales tax that he initially wasn't going to charge. This place really needs better service

We especially liked that SDH came out to our house and MEASURED for the doors. This makes for an exact custom fit! (Other companies I called have premade doors they they install and they just gave quotes over the phone.) The day of install, the workers came on time and got the shower glass up in no time! Only small issue is there is a bit of water leaking from the bottom. I've called and they're supposed to schedule someone to come out and fix it. Perhaps I'll update once that happens. Price was the same as I was quoted for the prefab doors from another company so we were glad to get custom made ones for the same price. Love the look! Our new bathroom is awesome! We WILL be using Shower Doors of Houston when I remodel our master bath.

Four years ago Shower Doors of Houston installed a 3/8 inch thick shower door in our master bath…read more They only put 2 hinges on the very heavy door. This put a lot of strain on the top hinge. I questioned the installer at the time why there was only 2 hinges on such a heavy door and I was told that was all that was needed. The door is now slipping out of the top hinge and the employee answering the phone said that they would charge $150.00 to come out and adjust it. It seems to me that if they installed a door that was poorly designed, they should fix it for free. They don't seem to back up their product.

I was very pleased with the initial conversation of how knowledgeable and professional the sales manager, Crystal, was when I first reached out. I was later passed to Graham as my sales representative. He and I initial conversations were also good and I was pleased, comfortable and confident that I made the right choice to move forward them. Well, that has changed now. This is my first major project in my home so I am very new to the process, however;  I am not new to what good customer service should look like. I feel like as a customer that there should be a great vibe throughout the process (beginning, middle and end).There has been three occasions that I have been let down and there has been no update, that is until I reach out. As a customer, I should not feel like I'm chasing to give you my business and that's how Graham made me feel because he has dropped the ball on three occasions where I feel he should have been updating me and not me having to chase him down for a reply/update. I explained to him my expectations during the consultation to how soon I needed this project done. I know things happen that are out of ones control, however; I feel those things should be communicated as well. I had to pop up to their location because he wasn't responding. Lastly, he then never confirmed the date (I had to reach out) and now I find out the install is being delayed when I was told by him it should start as early as 8a-8:30a during the consultation and will be an all day install that should wrap up around 3p and that I can hire a plumber to connect my plumbing later that evening around 7p to be safe, which I did. Received an email yesterday from Laura (install coordinator) to confirm the date of the install, that I have power and that it's safe for the install team, but no one ever provided me a confirmed ETA of the install team. When I emailed Laura and also text Graham today regarding the ETA because I'd been up waiting since 8a, I find out that the install team won't arrive until 11a-12p because they had to finish up a job they didn't finish the night before. I was not pleased with this as I had planned for my day to go accordingly with other items I had planned to take care of, plus the fact I missed work that morning. A phone call/text to update me yesterday of the ETA of the install would have been a sufficient courtesy so I can adjust my day. They didn't arrive until 1:50p to begin the install. The work they did was great but the customer service from my sales rep was not on point throughout this process, which is why I'm rating 3 stars.
