Yo, this place is hella good. First place in SFV area that appears to actually have good NY-style pizza. Don't get me wrong, there's decent-ish pizza around here, it's just that in LA the best pizzas tend to be the Neapolitan woodfire oven kind, which is good, but sometimes I want that floppy thin slice with the almost too much sauce and the chewy, crispy crust at the ends. I've never lived in NY, but I've been to enough business trips there to know what a good slice should be like, and I've lived in San Diego long enough to get some great NY-style pizzas from there (Luigi's, Bronx, Gaslamp, etc.) So this place is good. Get the pepperoni. It's bomb. The white pizza is pretty good if a bit unorthodox, it's like 90% ricotta, and I'm cool with that, but it's kinda unusual, and I also added pepperoni to it which kinda made it more balanced, I imagine it would be a bit too milky without the pepp, but that's just me. read more

I was immediately greeted when I came in. I didn't waste time to order a slice of Bbq chicken. I had it to go because I just dined someplace else. I ate it later that day and was surprisingly still good. Although it's been sitting on the to go box for quite sometime, I didn't see any grease unlike what other reviewers pointed out. I have been on a search for eight years looking for something even remotely coming close to NY Pizza. LA does a lot of food great- but pizza, in my humble opinion, it does not. By the time the pizza got to me from DoorDash it was unfortunately cold, but even cold it was thirty times better than any of the pizza out there. And if you want it broken down: the pizza has a good hand feel, it has some grease on it- which it should! The crust is how it's supposed to be, thinner but flexible with a little crunch. The cheese to sauce ratio is literally perfection and the large pie is absolutely massive. It's also affordable which is just icing on top of the cake. This pizza is East Coaster approved. WARNING: $$ BAIT AND SWITCH & TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I've been coming here for years and it's been fine, but this time was absolutely insulting. I went on the company's Yelp page, clicked on the "website" link, saw a Chicken Parm dinner for $10.99. Great! I called and placed my order. When I went in, the hanging menu said the same dish was $14.99. I brought this up to the guy at the register and showed him the website on Yelp (not the Yelp menu, but the actual link to Fernanda's Pizza's website). Dude doesn't even look at it, tells me "that's a fake website" and then "that's a Yelp website... we give them the menu and they're supposed to maintain it." Then he pulls up another website with the same pricing as the one in the store and says he can't do anything about it since he doesn't want to lose his job then talks over me and reiterates the higher price. I acknowledged that prices must've gone up and that I'd pay the surprise $4 difference if he'd throw something else in there so I didn't feel completely bait and switched (even a few bread rolls would've been fine). I asked for the manager...he says he is and that his uncle (maybe he said cousin...I don't remember) "wouldn't have it." Then he just kept talking over me. I said to cancel the order and dude got all uppity. Nope. So basically, they lure people in on Yelp, with a "fake" website that supposedly, Yelp or "someone" else created (total B.S.) and linked to this company's business page, then charge you +/- 40% more when you arrive, then have a piss poor, condescending attitude. I'll say I get to take my family once a year on a little vacation and stayed very close by to this restaurant on a whim. We decided to try it with that said we like Sicilian pizzas and it says on the menu cheese only I decided to ask the gentleman if we can add toppings, he obliged, I can tell you this pizza is amazing. Ordered a large white pie and order of fettuccine Alfredo for delivery. My God! What arrived was awful, Pizza was cold, dry and tasteless. It was literally a dry crust, covered with tasteless, non seasoned ricotta cheese and spinach, that's it. No sauce, no garlic, and if there was any white sauce on the crust, it was applied with a model airplane paint brush. Also if it had mozzarella cheese on it, it was a microscopic amount, as if I ordered it on the day their rent on the shop was due. The fettuccine Alfredo was undercooked, not al dente, undercooked. I would have liked to describe it as covered in a creamy Alfredo sauce, but I can't, why? Because the sauce was almost non existent. We actually had to add bottled Alfredo sauce we had in our kitchen cabinet, crisp bacon and shredded chicken to this pasta dish to make it something you wouldn't mind eating. It was necessary to spread bottled Alfredo sauce on the white pizza as well, in order to get it down. I mean, we were hungry, and when I think of what we ended up eating, it makes me sick to think about it. Maybe your threshold for what's good food, and what's bad food, is fairly low, then you might truly enjoy this fare. For me! Absolutely, never again. read more

The customer service is spot on. Very customer service friendly. The Sicilian cheese is one of the best slices I have ever had. I've had far too many that were lazily-sliced too thick, with the peel still on. Not good in my opinion. I got the entree which came with spaghetti that was standard fare and a decent piece of garlic bread. The serving size was generous.
