I can't say enough good things about the team at Ferrer's. It started when I called and left a message, and Brittany called me back in a matter of minutes. This was at about 4:30 pm. Luis was at our house to do a diagnostic on the washing machine at about 7 pm. He was honest with me about the cost-benefit analysis of fixing the existing machine or just getting a new one or a refurbished one. I opted for the refurbished one that was the matching machine to the dryer (the washing machine I had was a different brand.) They didn't charge me for the service call and had the refurbished Kenmore washing machine installed and the old one removed by midday the next day. Let me reiterate that. . . I HAD MY CLOTHES IN THE WASHER IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS AFTER I REACHED OUT TO FERRER'S! Out of 3 appliance service companies, Ferrer's was the only one willing to come to the house with a weird request--which was provide feedback on whether to move refrigerator, stove and dishwasher prior to hardwood floor installation. Daniel provided sound advice that made perfect sense. Although it was not part of the service request, they gave us maintenance advice on our stackable washer & dryer. Also, even though we agreed upon the charge to come over, he wanted less money. I insisted he take the full amount. Daniel is very knowledgeable, honest, on time, and fair with the quotes. I would give more stars if I could! Ferrer Appliances is excellent! I had a noise coming from my washer that is only 5 years old. I called at 11:30am and Luis showed up at 1:00pm the same day! He was very polite, did a thorough inspection of my unit and couldn't find anything wrong. He found that a drain pipe underneath the washer was too high and when the washer was loaded it was hitting the pipe fitting. The washer is on the third floor so the drain is an emergency drain. Even though Luis didn't have to, he pulled my washer all the way out so I can access the drain and waited while I removed the fitting, then moved the washer back for me. Luis went above and beyond what he was asked to do and I will definitely use Ferrer's again with ALL of my appliance needs. On a business note, Brittany who handled the appointment was excellent, and they use text messages to not only confirm appointments but to let me know when Luis was on his way. I had an issue with my dryer and Luis was able to come out the next day to check it. He arrived on time and was professional. After checking my dryer, the cost of the part and labor would have been more than buying a new dryer, so I didn't have the dryer repaired. Luis agreed and didn't insist on performing the repair. Luis waived the minimum service fee, even though I agreed to pay it at scheduling. He said I'd have to spend enough money on a dryer so he wasn't going to charge me. Greatly appreciated him waiving the fee even though though he spent time checking out my dryer. Would recommend using this company and would use them again if needed. read more

I came across some product listings on the app LetGo after a long search for an affordable Washer/Gas Dryer. We looked at both new models at Lower/Home Depot/Sears etc and used units on Craigslist and other sites. I chatted with a rep via the LetGo message feature to get the dimensions, price, and finalize delivery. She was super nice and very accommodating. Someone came out that weekend to install the units however due to the shotty placements of our hookups ( in a newly added laundry room in the house we're renting) they units we purchased were not going to work for the space. He was able to make it work for short term use but suggested that we take down a shelf and swap for a stackable unit. They left us with the original units for the week and returned the following weekend to remove them and install the stackable unit asking that we just pay the difference in price for the units. Everyone from this family owned shop was EXTREMELY helpful and professional and in the end we got a great washer/dryer that fit out space with very little hassle. read more

I am so impressed!!! This morning, I called Dunn Wright who we have worked with in the past. It was a complete disappointment. All I can say is I waited by the phone all day without any reward and a lot of frustration . If you want to read up on that one I will be doing that review next (obviously not recommended). Left in the lurch with a houseguest due to be at my house today and a dead refrigerator I discovered Ferrer's Appliances via Yelp. First I should mention that when I first called Ferrer's his schedule was full and I was told that I could get an appointment tomorrow. However, when I mentioned my circumstances the lovely receptionist told me that she would see what she could do. Ferrer's Appliance was able to get someone out to my house to check out a leak in my Maytag refrigerator within and hour. I was notified that if any repairs are done, the consult/assessment price is waived. When the repairman, Luis, came in, he figured out the problem, and had time to fix the clogged drain pipe and check the sensor and computer board. I found Ferrer's on Yelp and so happy with their service. I have 13-year-old double oven which needs to repaired before the holiday. Ferrer's responded within an hours to set up an appointment. They followed by a text, sent a text when they were on their way, which was a new experience for me. Luis arrived, checked out my non-working one oven only to discover that the part needed was no longer available. He didn't charge for the call because I would need to call the manufacturer to use one of their repair people which he said would be very expensive, so he didn't charge me for the service call. I was able to find the part on eBay and will have him come out to install it. I will do a followup when the oven is repaired, but I'm impressed with their professionalism already. read more

Our fridge went out three days before Thanksgiving. There were only two repair companies on Yelp in our area that had both a large number of reviews and a solid five-star rating, so I naturally started with them. It being the holiday season and facing the specter of half of it being ruined, my experience naturally evoked childhood memories. As children, my father observed that my sister and I looked at things in opposite ways, she always saw the glass half empty, I always saw it half full. Talking to the owner of the first company I called, I was reminded of my sister, who is resourceful, helpful, efficient and highly capable, but also has her limits and can be overly pessimistic. The first thing he did was look up the part that seemed to be malfunctioning. He told me it was not available and they were no longer making the refrigerator. He said there was little possibility it could be fixed and I probably should save time and money and just buy a new one. I told him I couldn't buy another one since my kitchen was built around this one--it was only 24" inches in depth and they weren't making that size anymore. Also, the prospect of going shopping for a new one with everything we had to do and spend for the holidays was not a happy one. He had no response to this, but when my husband called him the next day, he told him how to open the compartment where the freezer fan was located to get a better look- he also admitted he wasn't taking on any more refrigerators at this time. Despite possible evidence to the contrary, the owner was very helpful in his way, because after removing the piece blocking the fan and motor, based on what my husband found our repair man from the second company (Luis at Ferrer's) was able to solve the problem without replacing any parts. From the git go, Luis very optimistic and reassuring about the problem being fixable, and he didn't say uncle even after the fridge failed again only two hours after his first attempt to fix it. He returned the next day, worked on it another half hour, and this time it stayed fixed--today is the fifth day and it's working perfectly. He didn't charge us for the second visit, he didn't charge us anything but the cost of the first service call, $65. He not only saved the holidays for us, he saved our kitchen, which would have never looked right with any other refrigerator! read more

EXTREMELY impressed and that isn't easy for me. After having another company, Appliance 911, tell us that the dryer needed around $800 in repairs and charging $89 to do so, I wasn't satisfied that we were getting a great evaluation. 911 told us that they had no way of knowing which of the only 2 circuit boards in the dryer needed to be replaced so quoted replacing both to the tune of around $800. I did some research and called Ferrer's. The gal that answered the phone was very helpful and although she of course isn't a dryer repair person, she listened to me and did her best to help replay the info to Luis who called me back. He was able to get to our house within a couple hours of the call and for a $55 service call he was able to tell us which circuit board was the problem, ordered it and for $372 we are back in business. I hate to leave bad reviews so I won't say 911 was BAD, they just weren't qualified to do a proper analysis of OUR dryer. For $89, 911 was here for just a few minutes before telling us the only 2 circuit boards in the dryer needed replacement. Luis was here with another technician for long time (long enough obviously to diagnose) to get to the bottom of exactly which board was the problem. With teenage girls it was as if the earth stood still when one shirt became a wash/dry crisis, so needless to say, happy to have the dryer back and not have to litter the landfill with another appliance. I purchased a Thermador range from Ferrer's. It was missing the kick plate but I was told it was somewhere in the store and included in the price. My only complaint was that I was promised that I would receive it within a day or two. I paid for oven with this understanding. Multiple visits to store and phone calls and the kick plate could not be located. Apparently a new part had to be ordered from Thermador and it took awhile to be received. I wasn't notified of this situation until I recently complained on yelp. Part was in store and installed today. Ferrer's held up their end of the bargain by purchasing the replacement kick plate. Only wish there was better communication regarding the situation, but all is good now. I am happy with this oven which I purchased from Ferrer's for a fraction of the price of a new oven. I will consider purchasing from Ferrer's again when I need a new appliance. read more
