Great coffee and delicious brunch food. We stop here every-time we are in the area during morning/afternoon. The avocado toast with egg are outstanding. The French toast with berries is also delicious. The berries are always fresh. Great sangrias and coffee. The waitress who is usually there is an absolute sweetheart and very accommodating. We always leave brunch full and happy. However, we did stop by one evening for dinner and I was slightly disappointed. Our usual waitress was not there because she doesn't work evenings. I ordered eggplant parmigiana and it came not breaded, so was basically sautéed eggplant with cheese and sauce. I shared it with my son since he usually loves eggplant parmigiana but he kept choking on it, as the texture was too slimy. My husband ordered salad with grilled chicken and it was also very chintzy and just ok. More disappointing because I was saving my appetite expecting to have a great meal, but left hungry. Good prices for pasta and food! I got takeout and the portions are pretty big! Pasta is soo good here. Especially the fettuccini Alfredo which I add chicken too. We were glad that it was open late and we were looking for a place where we didn't need to pay $20+ for one plate of pasta in Little Italy. However, the biggest thing for us was that this place is cash only and although we did not bring cash, there was an ATM in the basement of the place which had a service fee and would definitely recommend bringing enough cash beforehand if you do not want to go down there (trust me, you don't!). As for the food, we ordered fusilli with pesto and yukon gold potatoes, rigatoni bolognese, and a spaghetti carbonara for three people. The portion was actually a lot and we all had to get a to-go box because it was so filling. For the fusilli with pesto, the pesto was flavorful and the yukon gold potatoes were an excellent addition. The rigatoni bolognese was exactly what you would expect and you could really taste the tomatoes throughout. As for the spaghetti carbonara, it had the perfect ratio of meat to cheese to egg which was so delicious, and would definitely recommend this dish. The plates were presentable and tasted as good as they looked. Aside from our cash dilemma, our waiter was super sweet but we waited for a while for our food, our check, and packing all our food before leaving. Otherwise, I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for some pasta and you are in the area and I would definitely come back for its spaghetti carbonara. As small as a fiat car is this restaurant is tiny but packs great meals. We have eaten here a handful of times and have never been disappointed in anything we ordered here. The kale Caesar salad is a great starter to share with the table. The fresh shaved Parmesan slices on top with the croutons add texture and I love how each leaf of kale is evenly coated in dressing. The fresh pasta is cooked al dente with just enough bite. There are plenty of options of different sauces and combinations to choose from. I had the papadelle pasta dish which had a earthy sauce with various mushrooms and duck confit to give it a little richness. The portion size was just about right, but we didn't have any room for dessert this time around. Service is also very good. Small, quaint place, probably nicer for calm Wednesday night dinners with a friend than a busy day like Valentine's weekend with several people in your party. Fiat Cafe is a cute tiny cafe right off of the hustle and bustle of little Italy. Great place to sit and have a quiet and relaxing lunch if you have a bit of time. I'm obsessed with the complimentary dessert that comes with a Yelp Check-In: the coffee panna cotta is so light and the sweetness, coffee flavor, and smooth texture really resembles that of a flan. It's also super jiggly and bouncy, which makes it all the more fun to eat! This is a small restaurant with about a dozen tables, very dimly lit at night, and if course the decor is all vintage Fiat cars. The food was superb, I had the eggplant parmigiana and my son had the gnocchi. Both were delicious. The service was fast and the staff was very attentive.
