Today we had a water pipe break outside. We had to turn off our main water, to keep the leak from…read moreflooding us. We have American Home Shield Warranty and they assigned 1st Response to assist us. I called them around 10 am today. They wanted to come out on Thursday, 4 days later. I explained our situation and that going without water for 4 days would be impossible. Her solution, just keep turning the main on/off as needed. I said that is not possible. She said she would try and get someone out there today. Around noon, we got a call that someone would come by between 2-5. Fantastic!!! I had explained to them that I have a block on my phone and to please have their guys text me, because the call won't come through. Around 3:15, I see I have a voicemail, it's the plumber saying. Hey, Im here in front and can't get a hold of you. As I'm reading this, the doorbell rings. (new concept, I know) My husband answered the door immediately and out they went. This guy Charles ,was rude, very unprofessional and had the empathy of a rock. He couldn't care less that we didn't have water all day, or anything. He did find a way to isolate that pipe, so that we could turn on the main again. He looked at and told us what he would do, then left. Yup, no fixing it today, he just wanted to take a sneak peak and see what it was and off he went. An hour later we received an estimate, $500 to repair and wait for it, $300 extra if we wanted him to backfill the hole. The hole that was in soft dirt in our garden that was at the most 10" deep. WTAF!!! I was on the phone with AHS, immediately. Turns out they denied our claim (that's another horror story). We rejected the estimate and told them, not to worry, we would have our own plumber come fix the "$500 + $300" pipe issue. Our plumber came and fixed (we didn't do this earlier because it voids our warranty), and the parts cost us $10. Being that he is a friend, he didn't charge us. A $10 fix, unbelievable. Guess which company we won't ever be using in the future. What a way to make sure you never have a loyal customer.

As a neighbor, I've witnessed ongoing disrespect and disregard for others. Their work trucks routinely block the sidewalk and bike lane in front of a residential property, creating unsafe conditions for pedestrians, cyclists, and individuals with disabilities. Despite being asked multiple times to stop, the behavior continues. The city now has numerous photos of these violations, and I'll be submitting a formal complaint to the state licensing board. This kind of conduct is unacceptable from any business.

I called them on a Wednesday and found that Atlas had been bought out by a company in Texas (Liquid Enviro). I then asked the prices and informed them that they will need to dig before they pump. He gave me prices, $525 plus $100per hour to dig. I said OK, then asked when they could do it. He said he wasn't sure but they would call me. I asked of there was a local number I could call and he said "No". We then waited for a call. Monday noon arrived, still no call. My Wife calls the number again, and the guy says he will send them an email (from Texas). About an hour later a local woman calls and says a guy will be there tomorrow (Tues.) Wait all day Tuesday and get a call about 2:30 from the Driver saying he had one stop and then would be out. He shows up at 5PM, looks at the spot (that my Grandson's had already partially dug) and groaned. He says he doesn't have time today to get it done. I say, OK then when, He says he had to go north in the AM so he would be here mid day. Two PM Wednesday rolls around, I call the drivers number, he is astonished that the company has not sent someone else out to dig. About ten minutes later a guy shows up, looks at the spot (half dug) and groans. I call the driver to tell him the other guy got here and he asks to talk to the digger guy. I hear them talking and the Digger is telling the other guy he started at 5AM and that he had a bad shoulder and probably couldn't get much done. He hangs up the phone and hands it to me. I Looked at him and said "so, you have a bad shoulder?" to which he replied "yes". I then told him that I was not going to pay someone with a bad shoulder to dig at $100per hour and to have a nice evening. We called the office and cancelled. Called A-1 Septic, the guy told us the drivers name and that they would be out between 10 and 12 on Friday. I will make a yelp comment after they come. Just run from Atlas (Liquid Enviro).

The tech was quick and easy to work with. Seven months later I lost pressure on my hot water. Ismael came out and started to problem shoot. He ended up spending two half days and replaced a lot of pipe that was clogged with falling old lining. The house will end up needing more work and I plan to keep using Fix. (My rating is based on my experience with the employees that came to the house. I have not had great experience with the dispatcher/woman that answers the phone.)
