Brought my out of town guests here for breakfast on a Friday morning, after reading several great reviews, and was NOT disappointed! The line was already long on a rainy Friday morning around 10am, but the line moved quickly, and there is plenty to look at while you wait to place your order at the register. The dog decor was a huge hit amongst our dog-loving group :) The atmosphere is busy, loud & eclectic, but we loved it! The menu selection was great, and had a lot of varied options for each member of our party - from traditional b-fast entrees to bagels, pancakes, scrambles, many coffee, tea and house speciality drinks. We went with a steamed hot cider and a housemade latte, and they were wonderful. To eat, we got the salmon scramble which was delicious, flavorful and super fresh (which can sometimes be hard to find in Nash). We also ordered a yogurt parfait, and it ended up stealing the show! It was just right when it comes to sweetness and presentation, thanks to the honey drizzle, fresh fruit, and delicious housemade granola. YUM! Overall, an impressive, delicious experience! Oh Fido, you get me out of my warm, quiet bed every time I visit Nashville. You make me brave university traffic and vie with desperate undergrads for parking. I walk right on past that snaky line at Pancake Pantry because I know at Fido I will get my morning tea right away and a pile of amazing food a mere 10 minutes later, max. Fido fires from all pistons on busy mornings, pitting two cashiers against the line of brunchers...and those kids can rock it. Do not be deterred, you will have a comfortable amount of time to browse the menu and be up front trying to stammer out your order without annoying anyone behind you before you know it. I am never disappointed with what I get. Sure sometimes the eggs could use a little more salt but who hasn't had an under-salted scramble in their life? Anything with tortillas on the plate with or wrapped around it is a guaranteed winner. I will personally vouch for the huevos cubanos and village burrito. The cheese grits and spuds McCheesy are great sides, but if your plate already comes with hash browns, they may be too much to finish. Fido, you make me sit and stay. Awesome breakfast and treats. Great coffee! Order at the register so it's pretty quick for a breakfast meeting. I highly recommend Fido to friends. I got the McFido. The bagel was really good (and I'm from Philly so I have High bagel standards). The sweet treats looked amazing, muffins, cake, Rice Krispie treats to name a few. I also got the wood Side (I think that's what it's called) latte. It had apple butter in it which was different but good. My husband got simple eggs (which is just eggs and toast) and the gluten free French toast which has caramel sauce. Neither of us it gluten free but it was really good! I will definitely return. This was a very underwhelming experience. We went in on a Sunday. It was quite crowded which, considering it's the weekend, is expected. We waited in line for 40 minutes. The process in which you order and pay needs serious improvement. The cashier started off rude and he acted as though we were a huge inconvenience being in his presence. It took us over 10 minutes to order based off how they rang in the orders and made our drinks (which were waters). Once we ordered, we didn't receive our food for another 30 minutes and that was after many behind us were receiving their meals. When we asked about our order it finally came out, in which, some of my parties' orders were wrong. They did offer to fix it but with almost 2 hours of being there for just a bagel with an egg we were ready to eat and go. All and all, I was excited to try Fido but at the end I was severely disappointed. Items in which we order: McFido- the bagel was awful and the $3 extra they charged me to add bacon was a joke (Two smalls pieces of bacon for that price is unreal) the egg on the bagel was fluffy and delicious with the melted cheese. Other items were a basic egg and meat plate, and the hangover. A few of us ordered a side of hash browns which were cold and not even remotely warm upon arrival. read more

The tiniest recommendation to the chef is to use a goat cheese or cheese with more fast as capers and salmon are both very strong. The grits were okay, well seasoned. The Impeached: IS THE BEST COFFEE/TEA DRINK I'VE EVER HAD. I travel all over the country, and this is the most unique thing I've tasted for coffee that also tastes great. Good stuff! This place is obviously a favorite for Nashville locals. Even on a Weekday morning, this place was packed! The menu is modern and fun offers a little something for everyone. I enjoyed Pete's breakfast, which offered a delicious veggie sausage option. My girlfriend had the smoked salmon scramble which she absolutely loved too. Ambiance was cozy, unique, and clean, everything you would want in a good breakfast spot. They do serve beer; however, no bloody Mary's, so if that's a must for your hangover cure, just keep that in mind! They also have lots of coffee drinks, juices, sodas, and soda waters. Fido really is as great as people say. The scrambles are so tasty, the coffee drinks are good and strong. The real frustration for me is that it *seems* that there are only outlets in the front bar area, which makes it a challenge for working. I haven't experienced the tourist crowds that other have so my guess is that you have to go at off hours to have it quieter. I've never had a line when I go. read more
