**3.5** Came here for a birthday celebration. Limited seating inside but well decorated. Fast and friendly service I had to wagyu burger brunchy with fries Cook medium as selected. Meat was juicy and the AOE was delicious with some avocado spread. Runny egg upon closing of the buns. Fries were also done quite nice. Price for Burger about $22 We also had the waffle order with a banana brulee with figs. Syrup was good, would advise to ask for on the side next time. Banana brulee was a nice touch and crunch. Price for about $17. Shockingly was only given half a waffle for this price*** Would have expected a full waffle order. Quantity: tiny, not enough Would advised getting meat dish instead

Fig and ginger had amazing food! We had the 3 egg breakfast and it came with all types of meats. The server was amazing and so kind and helpful. Chef was outstanding in the food.

Dropping off my puppy for her first grooming appointment I figured I had time to kill so headed down McCully and pulled in to McCully Shopping Center to see if there was anything open for breakfast at 9:00 in the morning....thats how I ended up at Fig & Ginger. 9:00 in the morning you have your choice of parking spots in the center's lot.....lot looks bigger at this time of the day too. Walked into this restaurant at was seated at a table for two in the second row of tables for two. The configuration of the restaurant is four tables for two along the wall. A second row of four of tables for two, I'm guessing it's set up like this so you can push two tables together. Then there's a looong table/bench for communal eating or large parties. Then against the wall are four tables for four. It's small but configured to maximize occupancy. I was surprised there were six tables of two and one of four occupied when I came in. Service was quick considering only one server, menus and water were left as she passed by to another table. I didn't even look at the regular menu as I saw the Salmon Egg Benedict on the "special" menu made even better when I was informed they were out of English Muffins and would toasted sourdough be an okay substitute, yes please! Excellent Eggs Benedict! Eggs perfectly poached, toast perfectly brown, just the right amount of Hollandaise and the salmon was the perfect amount. I also ordered a Latte but dismissed their menu as I'm not a fufu latte drinker....just a plain Latte please. I did appreciate the artful way the foam was added and the charming cup and saucer it was served in. Those touches are appreciated. The only downside for me was when the bill was presented and I was told by the server as I tried to hand her my card I had to pay at the register. The only reason I can see this happening was because they sell baked goods at the register of which I wasn't buying. I found this very annoying and had the restaurant been more full than it was it would it would have made it worse. I deducted a star because this annoyed me turning a very pleasant experience into a lesser experience for me.

Fig & Ginger is located in a plaza with plenty of parking, though the parking lot layout is messy - the center of the parking lot can hold a single car and the parking spot can be entered from both sides, which is terrible when the lot gets busy. The bathroom is located upstairs and shared with other businesses, and you'll need to ask them for the key to the specific gendered restroom. I ordered eggs sunny side up and a rose latte. The breakfast is pretty large, and comes with three different proteins for the indecisive customer (me). The food is straightforward and doesn't over-deliver on what it is, though I wish there was a cheaper menu option scaled down on the portion size proportionally. The rose latte struck the perfect balance of good coffee and floral notes without being too strong.

We stopped by for a breakfast before going to visit family (we stayed in Waikiki). The place is a small restaurant but very cute. We were the first customer... so no waiting. We got honey cinnamon latte and honey rose latte ($7 each). Both are really good. There is dry rose crumpets in the honey rose latte, interestingly I could taste both honey and cinnamon. Egg benedict ($18) is very tasty, soft bun, salmon and egg on top, served with local greens. Waffle ($16): freshly made Waffle, caramel banana and sausage. We also add 2 over easy eggs for $5. Everything is fresh and delicious! We definitely come back for dinner! They also had some local products on sale, great for gifting.

Breakfast with my home girlz - Sharon H. & Cathy I. It's been a minute since I've seen my home girlz, so we planned a quick breakfast get together at this joint called - Fig & Ginger Honolulu. Honestly, I wasn't too keen about coming here because I saw their limited menu offerings, but it's not always about the food........I'm really here for the company. I must say Fig & Ginger serves wonderful coffee here, and if you're a fan of great coffee.......this is a spot you may wanna check out. As far as the food goes - very nice presentation, but I felt it was sorta pricy for what you got. I had ordered the croissant scrambled egg sandwich (for $16.50 for the dish), I felt it wasn't really of good value for what I got. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and when it does get crowded in the restaurant, the noise level is pretty up there, making it rather hard to hold a conversation (but of course it doesn't help if you're partially deaf) like me. Lol! I would definitely come back here for the coffee tho.........as for the food, I'd probably pass.

While the food did taste good, I would skip this spot if you're vacationing in Waikiki. The wait was long, both to get seated and to be served the food. Quite pricey for just your typical brunch items. While it is highly reviewed online, I wouldn't make the trip (it's a bit out of the way), especially if you have a day of activities planned.

Located in McCully Shopping Center on the bottom floor, Fig and Ginger is a clean and bright breakfast/lunch spot. There is parking for the shopping center at the front, and some additional parking in the garage underground. We decided to go for brunch and the parking lot was pretty empty. The restaurant also had some tables open, so we did not need to make a reservation. Not sure if they take them or not. The place has a few tables inside, but not a ton. There are some boho decorations, a bright white interior, and some nature/plant elements. We were seated quickly and our orders were taken efficiently. There are a number of options on the menu from toasts to sweets to sandwiches, the options are quite decent. They have also been known for their charcuterie boards. We did not get one, but were tempted by the mini charcuterie option! We decided to get the croissant scrambled eggs sandwich, crispy corn fritters toastie, and goat cheese and fig sandwich with truffle fries. The toastie was good. The crispy corn was quite crunchy, and had a good flavor. The eggs did not taste like they had much flavor but worked OK with the rest of the dish. The goat cheese and fig sandwich was good, the truffle fries were especially tasty. The scrambled egg sandwich was a bit difficult to eat but pretty good. Overall, a pretty good spread of food, and it would be nice to try something sweet next time!

Located in McCully Shopping Center at the intersection of Kapiolani and McCully, next to 7-11 with free parking. Maile was awesome greeting us right away and sitting us at a table for two. Even though we would have preferred to sit at the larger table in corner instead of on the aisle, she KINDLY explained they leave it open for larger parties. Maile also had the unfortunate job of telling us a few of the top items were not quite ready to be served, but she had such a nice way of saying it we didn't mind as menu has alot of choices to enjoy and try and we support local businesses who are doing their best what with labor, taxes, and shipping cost issues. The menu has a variety of items for brekkie, toasties, salads, sandwiches, sides, daily baked items, sweet starts, smoothies, juices, pressed juices, coffees, shaken iced teas, and bowls and grains. So much to choose from! It was about 10:00 am, after our morning walk, so we ordered cappuccino, latte, chia pudding, tropical fruit bowl and muffin of the day- banana. I feel bad we didn't even scratch the service with the level of dishes prepared and how interesting and delicious they looked- I felt cheated I didn't come in with a better appetite. Everything was brought out at the same time and onolicious and beautifully displayed. The fruit bowl had star fruit, dragon fruit, miniature nectarines, strawberries, blueberries, cantaloupe, green grapes with a superb mix of flavors pairing well with my cappuccino and muffin. On our way out we saw a patron enjoying the truffle fries so we know shall return again and again!

Late review but this place was so good! I was surprise because I expected it to be a typical brunch place and it is a good place for brunch but they have unique dishes. If you can, I recommend making a reservation because when a group of friends and I went on the weekend, there were people waiting outside. I knew some of the people waiting and they waited for 40 minutes. I got the crispy corn fritter so that was delicious and one of my friends got roasted beets and that was good! Atmosphere - Gives me classy but not too bougie. Lighting is pleasant and it's not too loud in there either. Colors are neutral in a sense so not too loud but doesn't just blend in and it's decorated nicely. There are tables of around 4 people and a bigger table in the middle. I would say the restaurant overall seats 20 - 30 people. Service - Our service was great and we got our food in a reasonable amount of time. Cost - Ranges but average would be around $17 not including tax and tip. Parking - It's in the McCully Shopping Center so you can park on the main level outdoor lot or they have a parking lot under the building as well, it's a bit tight so be aware. Location - It's in the McCully Shopping Center on the 7/11, Fook Yuen side. I would definitely come here again, it was pretty good!

This was my last spot before flying back to Cali! This was another one of our daughter's favorite places to come with her college buddies! It was a few minutes from the hotel wifey and I stayed at, which was nice. It's small but has big favors! Great place to chill that's for sure. The food was on point! My hat off to the chefs in the kitchen! I was not disappointed. Tucked in at McCully Shopping Center, I finally got to try this place with friends! We were celebrating a July birthday and couldn't have came at a perfect time! Early Sunday brunch, we ordered some yummy drinks, the Caprese, Roasted Mushrooms Egg, and the best part of our dining experience...the baked Brie!!!! Oh my!!! This is a must! It's just made to perfection, everything compliments one another! And also, since this was our first time, we were unaware of portions so next time, we know we didn't have to order one entree per person. The place is so quaint and screams girls only...and that's exactly what the place was filled with...WOMEN of all ages! I can't wait to go back again but for now, I'll daydream about you, baked Brie!

It was so nice I had to do it twice. First time I walked from my resort which took me only 16 minutes. It wasn't long and I was stopping and taking pictures as I walk. The restaurant is cozy and the atmosphere is relaxed. The menu isn't that lengthy however, everything on it looks amazing. The food I ordered was delicious. read more

The food was ok...but over priced for what it was! They messed up my order twice and weren't very nice about rectifying the mishap by either taking half off the price or surprising you with a pastry on the house for the error! I came here for breakfast one morning when many of the other breakfast spots had a long wait. My waitress was wonderful and gave me a suggestions for different things I should do during my time here in Hawaii. She honestly needs a raise! Anyway I had the French toast which was perfectly cooked. And I LOVED the Lilikoi (passion fruit) shaken tea. It was beautifully made and not too sweet. Overall loved this place, the atmosphere was cute with a lot of greenery and I would love to come back! read more

My husband brought me here as a surprise, he thought I would love it by what he saw when it was featured on Wake Up 2 Day. He did good! I did really enjoy it! We were greeted right away and was told to choose where we wanted to sit. Our server was very friendly and didn't mind taking the time to go over the menu with us and give us her recommendations. I ordered a Lilikoi Iced Tea and it was made with real Lilikoi, not syrup, it was delicious! We ordered a Charcuterie Board for one, although it wasn't on the menu, they got enough requests for this that they will make you one if you ask. It was big enough for my husband and I to share while we waited for our main dishes to arrive. My husband ordered the big breakfast plate, I don't remember what it was called but it was huge! It had bacon, link sausage, Portuguese sausage, eggs, breakfast potatoes, vegetables, toast. I ordered the server's recommendation, the baked Mushroom and eggs with pesto toast, it was delicious! We left there feeling satisfied and not overly full, which I love! Hate when I feel overly full! Definitely want to go back to try other items on the menu. By the time we were leaving it was getting very busy. Parking right in front or they have a parking garage. It's in the McCully Shopping Center. read more

Second time here, me and my wife shared the Caprese and Roasted Mushroom Toasties (depicted). We tried the Ocean and Fried Corn Fritter Toasties on our first visit a week ago. Both were good! I like the Roasted Mushroom compare the Caprese, because the way can spread that eggs and vegetables on your toast. Also, using the toast to swap up the sauce. It's a nice breakfast and brunch place. We tried to dine days ago, but all the tables were taken. So it can be busy (good for the business). read more

Food was top tier! Light and fresh you could tell that everything was made to order and was presented beautifully. Portions were just the right amount to be full for the afternoon and not have any leftovers to Cary around. Excited to go back and try something new off the menu! read more

Recently discovered this place and have been here three times in the past few months :) service is timely and food is yummy! Mostly love that there isn't a long wait here unlike most brunch spots in Honolulu. You can get in and out in under and hour + have an enjoyable experience. What's not to love? read more

Horrible service!!! We arrived at 10:45am and i dont know why it took them more than 10 minutes to take our order. I was literally watching the three employees who were busy talking and I didn't know you needed three employees pack an order?? I even made eye contact with them and no one still came by. Only when the blonde girl came twice with the water( which she didnt refill ours until after our order) did she take ours. Then I started observing how other parties came after us, they didn't take that long to take their orders. My boyfriend and I felt very disrespected. Please have your employees work on their customer service. read more

Delicious with fresh and crisp atmosphere. Our waitstaff Pearl and the whole Team are very accommodating and friendly. Menu is fun and cuisine delicious!!! Coming back for sure. Three thumbs up from Echo, Liberty and I. I had the steak sandwich while echo had "The Ocean" plate and they were both transcendent. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

5/5 Atmosphere: For atmosphere and esthetics of the restaurant. The food plating was gorgeous and the interior design was very pleasing. 2/5 Food: The food was decent, but for the price you pay and what you get is just not worth it in my opinion. The food itself wasn't bad, but its things that you could put together yourself without needing much cooking skills. ($16 a plate of breakfast food) 4/5 Drinks: The drinks were decent and the prices were about $5/drink Lychee tea (very good and had lots of lychee chunks in it) Mac nut coffee (perfect) 2/5 would return: place is very esthetics and is a nice brunch date for a boujee girls day out. But for the price of the food, I would rather try something different. read more

Don't let the strip mall location turn you off! Super cute bistro style inside with a small neighborhood feel, nothing touristy about it. The lunch menu has interesting, healthy and delicious options and everything we ordered was really good. The cheese and meat board was a great sample starter with their homemade fruit compote and their shaken lilikoi ice tea was amazing. The steak sandwich and truffle fries were the bomb! Everything was fresh and farm to table style. If you're looking for something different from the regular Waikiki tourist options, this is your place. We'll be back to try their breakfast menu, it looks amazing too! read more

Brah this place is overrated and pricey. Definitely not worth it for the amount of food that you get. $20 for the big breakkie... Honestly it's not that much food. I was very underwhelmed. Everything is just normal nothing out of the ordinary. Would much rather go down the street to cafe kaila. This place is more instagrammable than delicious. It's fu-fu. read more

French toast was light and fluffy and the omelet was so yummy with pesto and goat cheese. Food was fresh with kind service. Obvious care went into each dish - everything looked beautiful and tasted just as good! Would recommend for sure! read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside but once you step inside, the ambiance is very warm and inviting. The service was very good. We were greeted by the server and seated right away. I had the cinnamon poached fig waffle and the wife had the big breakie. I am a stickler when it comes to waffle since the first bite will decide if it's any good or not. And this one was VERY GOOD. It had a good amount of nutella and whip cream. Then the banana had, what looked like fried brown sugar. There were also figs thrown in. The presentation was very appealing. I also had the mac nut latte, and the coffee was also very good. Very creamy and had the right amount of bitterness and sweetness. Usually when u have a very sweet breakfast it kills the taste of the coffee. But the sweetness of the waffle balanced out the bitter/sweetness of the coffee. Although our server got busy once more people came in, it didn't bother us. I'm sure she would've checked in on us if it was less busy. Overall I am very happy with the food and service. Definition of aesthetic! This place makes your foodie Instagram post look effortless. But you've got to hurry because the place is small and the waitlist can get pretty long. It's perfect for a cute brunch with the gals or even a date. The service was pretty good despite it being busy. The only downside was the portion size of my waffles. I ended up paying $15 for half a waffle that looked pretty. They had a decent charcuterie selection but beware again of the prices. Sometimes it's just better to diy food at home. Great cafe in McCully shopping center. We went on a Friday afternoon for a late brunch. It was not busy so we didn't have to wait for a table (esp bc we were hungry lol). The service was great. Sadly, we never have a chance to try this place out on my friends last day. She made reservations days before our reservation. It was a good thing she called, cause they claim they didn't have her on the list. Confused, she informed them she booked it online. Unfortunately, they do not have an online reservation even though it shows on Google. They can only do call-ins. I hope they put online reservation to make it easier. This kind of sucked mid way through happy hour and one of the main drinks on that menu is not available. Not to worry, we tried a few of the other selections including the cucumber collins, and the mojito. We also ordered some appetizers and food, the fried mozzarella was very good, along with the wings. The wings were cooked well and were crispy. I remember my father taking me when I was in Elementary School, and for nostalgia sake, I decided to return after work. Open everyday from 11a-6:30p, its rare to see a local mom and pop shave ice shop open that late. The shave ice was as good as I remembered it 20 years ago. Can't wait to get the azuki bean one next.

From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by this hidden brunch gem tucked away in the McCully shopping plaza. I can't believe it took me so long to discover this spot! Location: Conveniently situated on the bottom floor of the McCully shopping plaza, this place boasts plenty of free parking and is super easy to find. Ambiance: The space is charmingly intimate and quaint, making reservations a must if you want to secure a spot. Service: I hosted a party of 13 and every interaction--from booking over the phone to the warm, attentive wait staff on the day--was exceptional. BYOB Perks: Yes, you can bring your own bubbly! The first two bottles are on the house, and each additional bottle comes with a modest $5 fee. We enjoyed eight bottles during our brunch, and the fee was absolutely worth it. They even kept our drinks perfectly chilled and offered a selection of juices to complement the prosecco. Food: The food was nothing short of spectacular. Whether it was the carefully crafted charcuterie boards or the mouthwatering sandwiches, every bite was a delight. My husband, daughter and I tried this place today. Small but clean. The noise level was extremely high and loud. 2 groups there. They were having a good time but because it's a small space, it intensified the noise level. At one point our waitress apologized for the noise. As for the food it was so-so. The bread I had was very salty. The tomatoes on my daughter's plate didn't taste good. My husband had a salmon plate, was just okay. All in all, we tried it but will not be returning. read more

We had a great experience at Fig & Ginger Honolulu--the location is super convenient, especially being close to Waikīkī and Ala Moana. It's an easy spot to stop by whether you're exploring or just grabbing a quick bite. The portions were generous, the prices were affordable, and the staff were very accommodating and friendly. This little café has limited seating, so I waited about 10 minutes before deciding to grab a takeaway instead. The restaurant was quite noisy, but I did love their Breakfast --it's beautiful and tasty. Personally, I preferred taking my food to go and enjoying it with a beautiful beach view.
