The service is always good. The people that work here are always so kind and helpful. This location is a cute cafe to meet up with friends. This time I decided to try the Goat cheese and fig sandwich on sourdough bread. I chose a side salad but you can get regular or truffle fries with it. All of it was delicious! I will definitely be back!

The food was amazing! I was just a little disappointed with my "Big Brekkie." The roasted potatoes were only two small pieces (about half a potato), so I expected a little more considering it's called a "Big Brekkie." Everything else was delicious and exceeded my expectations. Overall, a great meal--just a little more potato would have made it perfect!

Restaurant is cutely decorated and staff are all very friendly. Food is pretty good but overpriced for the portion. The biscoff toast was one small slice. And the waffle is half the normal size (2 1/4 waffle). In terms of taste, I like the cinnamon poached fig waffles more than biscof cookie butter. Smoothies are very smooth and refreshing! I tried strawberry banana, banana swirl and mocha cocoa.

Came on a Saturday at around 9 am. It surprisingly wasn't crowded but I did hear that restaurants were hurting for customers and it seemed like this was true. We came a few years ago at around the same time and the place was packed. The service is friendly and helpful and although the food takes a little while to come out, it's well worth it. We ordered the F&G French toast, Steak Poutine, and the Roasted Mushroom Baked Eggs. Also had the Americano and Sea Salt Caramel latte. Here's what we thought: French toast : it was good but for the cost we thought the portions were too small. Bread isn't that expensive so for $16.50 we thought they could have added a few more slices. Or at least garnish it with an entire strawberry instead of a half. Steak Poutine $12: we thought this might have been the best dish. Although the steak portion was a bit small, it was tasty and the cheese sauce was amazing. My daughter also loved the fries and didn't mind that the fries made up most of the dish. Roasted Mushroom Baked Eggs $16: served in a skillet with four pieces of pesto covered toast. We enjoyed it but it seemed more like bruschetta so wasn't exactly what we thought it would be. We thought it would have more mushrooms but had more tomatoes than mushrooms. Americano: good coffee. Just a little expensive. Sea salt caramel latte: kind of sweet, but I liked it. $7 not bad...compared to Starbucks. Haha Overall the service was good, food was good, but not sure if this would be a "regular" place for us. It's a little too pricey for what you get.

Fig & Ginger is a cute little spot tucked in McCully Shopping Center. The restaurant is small with a nice aesthetic and limited seating. There was only one person working the tables when we went, but service was still good. It was just my boyfriend and me, so we walked right in. I believe reservations are only for parties of 6 or more. There's also ample parking, which is always a plus. For drinks, I got the iced matcha with oat milk sweetened with honey. It was decent and refreshing. My boyfriend got the lychee tea and loved it, though I personally thought it was too sweet. My boyfriend ordered the smoked salmon Benedict since their loco moco wasn't available at the time. He's usually not an eggs Benedict person, but the salmon tasted fresh and he really enjoyed it. I ordered a side of Portuguese sausage, which was good. The garlic fried rice was the standout. Easily the best fried rice I've ever had! Everything we had tasted fresh and well-balanced. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!

Special of day: smoked salmon benedict served with a refreshing green salad. Generously portioned!

Absolutely loved my brunch outing with friends at Fig and Ginger! Nine of us gathered this past Friday. I was thrilled since Fig and Ginger has been on my list to try, just never made it. Sure glad we did. The service was amiable. I really give the young server credit as our crazy group was throwing out questions and requests abundantly. And the food selections, while not complicated, were more than sufficient to give everyone choices that they wanted. I was torn between the two specials of the day which were smoked salmon benedict (with salad) or the ham and brie sandwich (with fries). Most of us got the smoked salmon. I "almost" regretted my decision, almost, when I saw my friend's ham and cheese selection. It was the most beautiful ham and cheese on baguette that I have seen since visiting Spain two years ago! So, I quickly added that to my order to take out for dinner. Since F&G participates in the "buy local" American Savings Bank program (spend $50 and get $10 off) I threw in a decadently delicious bag of truffled party mix to take home. Whoaaa sooo good. Sorry no photos of that. While a large bag... it didnt last past the week. I am weak like that. Sooo good! I am contemplating my next trip to Fig & Ginger soon! Great place to catch up with a friend(s) or grab a quick meal to go. Located in the McCully Shopping Center on the corner of McCully and Kapiolani. Easy access from Waikiki. Abundant free parking. I like the covered basement lot accessed from Fern St. There is lots of parking just outside restaurant too.

Fig & Ginger is a really nice brunch location! The food was nice and reasonably priced, and omissions (delete goat cheese from the croissant scrambled eggs) were accommodated. The server was great - she was working really hard and she serviced the whole restaurant, but was still pleasant and timely. We spent a lot of time talking after finishing eating and we were never rushed to leave. I'm not sure how it is all the time, but parking on a Friday holiday was pretty open. Great restaurant and we'll definitely return!!

Dropping off my puppy for her first grooming appointment I figured I had time to kill so headed down McCully and pulled in to McCully Shopping Center to see if there was anything open for breakfast at 9:00 in the morning....thats how I ended up at Fig & Ginger. 9:00 in the morning you have your choice of parking spots in the center's lot.....lot looks bigger at this time of the day too. Walked into this restaurant at was seated at a table for two in the second row of tables for two. The configuration of the restaurant is four tables for two along the wall. A second row of four of tables for two, I'm guessing it's set up like this so you can push two tables together. Then there's a looong table/bench for communal eating or large parties. Then against the wall are four tables for four. It's small but configured to maximize occupancy. I was surprised there were six tables of two and one of four occupied when I came in. Service was quick considering only one server, menus and water were left as she passed by to another table. I didn't even look at the regular menu as I saw the Salmon Egg Benedict on the "special" menu made even better when I was informed they were out of English Muffins and would toasted sourdough be an okay substitute, yes please! Excellent Eggs Benedict! Eggs perfectly poached, toast perfectly brown, just the right amount of Hollandaise and the salmon was the perfect amount. I also ordered a Latte but dismissed their menu as I'm not a fufu latte drinker....just a plain Latte please. I did appreciate the artful way the foam was added and the charming cup and saucer it was served in. Those touches are appreciated. The only downside for me was when the bill was presented and I was told by the server as I tried to hand her my card I had to pay at the register. The only reason I can see this happening was because they sell baked goods at the register of which I wasn't buying. I found this very annoying and had the restaurant been more full than it was it would it would have made it worse. I deducted a star because this annoyed me turning a very pleasant experience into a lesser experience for me.

**3.5** Came here for a birthday celebration. Limited seating inside but well decorated. Fast and friendly service I had to wagyu burger brunchy with fries Cook medium as selected. Meat was juicy and the AOE was delicious with some avocado spread. Runny egg upon closing of the buns. Fries were also done quite nice. Price for Burger about $22 We also had the waffle order with a banana brulee with figs. Syrup was good, would advise to ask for on the side next time. Banana brulee was a nice touch and crunch. Price for about $17. Shockingly was only given half a waffle for this price*** Would have expected a full waffle order. Quantity: tiny, not enough Would advised getting meat dish instead

    * Price: less than $20 for a huge portion of breakfast. $7 amazing coffee..no hidden fee. 4+ stars * Ambiance: cute hobo chic. 4 stars. * Location: Mc Cully shopping, free parking. 4+ stars. * Meals: amazing coffee. Farm to table breakfast very yummy! 5 stars. * Service: pleasant. Everything came out fast. The young lady with a big smile! 5 stars. This place was on my bookmark for awhile. We stopped by for a breakfast before going to visit family (we stayed in Waikiki). The place is a small restaurant but very cute. We were the first customer... so no waiting. We got honey cinnamon latte and honey rose latte ($7 each). Both are really good. There is dry rose crumpets in the honey rose latte, interestingly I could taste both honey and cinnamon. Egg benedict ($18) is very tasty, soft bun, salmon and egg on top, served with local greens. Waffle ($16): freshly made Waffle, caramel banana and sausage. We also add 2 over easy eggs for $5. Everything is fresh and delicious! We definitely come back for dinner! They also had some local products on sale, great for gifting.

Fig & Ginger is located in a plaza with plenty of parking, though the parking lot layout is messy - the center of the parking lot can hold a single car and the parking spot can be entered from both sides, which is terrible when the lot gets busy. The bathroom is located upstairs and shared with other businesses, and you'll need to ask them for the key to the specific gendered restroom. I ordered eggs sunny side up and a rose latte. The breakfast is pretty large, and comes with three different proteins for the indecisive customer (me). The food is straightforward and doesn't over-deliver on what it is, though I wish there was a cheaper menu option scaled down on the portion size proportionally. The rose latte struck the perfect balance of good coffee and floral notes without being too strong.

Breakfast with my home girlz - Sharon H. & Cathy I. It's been a minute since I've seen my home girlz, so we planned a quick breakfast get together at this joint called - Fig & Ginger Honolulu. Honestly, I wasn't too keen about coming here because I saw their limited menu offerings, but it's not always about the food........I'm really here for the company. I must say Fig & Ginger serves wonderful coffee here, and if you're a fan of great coffee.......this is a spot you may wanna check out. As far as the food goes - very nice presentation, but I felt it was sorta pricy for what you got. I had ordered the croissant scrambled egg sandwich (for $16.50 for the dish), I felt it wasn't really of good value for what I got. The restaurant is on the smaller side, and when it does get crowded in the restaurant, the noise level is pretty up there, making it rather hard to hold a conversation (but of course it doesn't help if you're partially deaf) like me. Lol! I would definitely come back here for the coffee tho.........as for the food, I'd probably pass.

Parking is super easy with the complimentary structure, and the café is located on the bottom floor alongside other vendors. One thing I immediately appreciated was how well air-conditioned the entire market is--it's nice and cool, which makes sitting and eating there really comfortable. The cashier recommended the turkey pesto croissant, but suggested swapping it onto ciabatta since it's one of her favorites--and I'm so glad I trusted her. It was phenomenal. The flavors were balanced, the bread held everything together perfectly, and it felt like a step above your typical sandwich. I also had what looked like a simple salad, but the vinaigrette and candied pistachios really elevated it and made it feel more thoughtful than expected. The staff across the board were friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of seating--whether inside the café or out in the open market area. Honestly, the value surprised me the most. I paid under $13 for everything, which is hard to beat for the quality. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to.

I think I may have found my new forever spot…read more This was my first visit, and when I arrived the ordering area was at capacity, so I was standing outside. I noticed a QR code on the door for online ordering, scanned it, grabbed an outdoor table and figured I'd give that a try. I ordered the Smoked Salmon and Bacon sandwich, the Apple Pecan Salad with balsamic dressing, and a large cold brew. I paid online and sat outside for maybe 15-20 minutes. I never did figure out whether I was supposed to get a notification that my order was ready, so eventually I just went inside to check. Sure enough, it was ready. Easy enough, and everyone I interacted with was incredibly kind. Then I got home and opened everything, and THAT is when I became really impressed. I had included a note with my order that I planned to eat the salad the following day and asked that the wet ingredients be kept separate. They absolutely understood the assignment. Everything was packaged so thoughtfully. The Apple Pecan Salad was beautiful, incredibly fresh and substantial, with the ingredients carefully separated so it would keep. It wasn't some obligatory pile of greens tossed into a container. You could actually see the care that went into making it. The Smoked Salmon and Bacon sandwich was equally good. Fresh, generously filled and absolutely delicious. I ate half the sandwich and some of the salad and was completely satisfied. Between the two, I can easily get four meals out of what I ordered, which makes the value even better. And the cold brew? Wowzer. Robust and delicious! I think what impressed me most was simply the level of care. A sandwich and a salad aren't complicated foods, but doing simple food really well takes effort. Fresh produce, good ingredients, thoughtful preparation, paying attention to a customer's request, and putting out food that looks every bit as good as it tastes. I felt that in this order. I actually tipped 15% when I ordered because I was thinking, okay, this is basically grab-and-go. After I got home and ate the food, I wished I'd tipped 20%. It genuinely felt good spending my money here. This was visit number one, and they've already set the benchmark. I really hope they stay exactly like this, because what a find. I will absolutely be back.

I don't want to be that person when this place has an overall rating of 4.5 but this is just my honest opinion. I got the blue dream and yes it was very ascetically pleasing, but it was just too icy. Before coming to this place i read a couple of reviews that also said the same thing and i didn't understand what that meant, but now I do. There are a lot of flavorless, just regular, small shards of ice in the bowl. On top of that, the moment I received my bowl, it was already borderline melted. So that got me thinking, how can it be melted and icy at the same time? The only explanation that I can think of is just ice additive/fillers. It's not pure cold acai or whatever is in the bowl you choose, but there's a mixture of ice in it too. Yes I understand, it's Waikiki, everything is more expensive, but the added topping prices on top of the already expensive bowl prices just don't make sense. You want a beautiful looking bowl with a lot of different toppings, yet some toppings can go up to 1 dollar PER topping. I don't know if I've just been spoiled by a couple places in SoCal, but at those places they have unlimited toppings and those bowls are the best that there is. I'm not bringing any bias from other locations, but this is just an honest review based on my experience today.
