Bad customer service. Went in with a coupon for "2 free meals with drinks". Got it at a fundraiser. Ordered a taco and a quesadilla on the side for my kids. The cashier said he was gonna give us the taco and quesadilla for free. I told him no this isn't a "buy one get one" voucher. Those always discount the cheapest item. My wife told me it wasn't a big deal so I let it go... Later I went in and asked for a side of shredded cheese. I had my wallet out. The same guy said he was gonna "give it to me free this time but if it becomes an issue in the future he would be charging me". I told him I wasn't trying to get it free. I am totally cool paying for it - that's why I had my wallet out when I asked for it. He seemed to make a bigger deal out of it than it needed to be. Again I offered to pay the 0.85 for the cheese. The food is ok, but I can do without this type of service. Fortunately there are tons of places to get Mexican food in the Fresno/Clovis area. read more

He took our order and brought out our food and made sure everyone at the table was enjoying it. The food was great! I had Shrimp tacos and the Rancho burrito. Both tasted terrific. We've been here more than once. Food is mediocre (but location is convenient which is why we returned). Service is lousy. Last time we went we got there 15 minutes prior to closing. We weren't the first in line so we waited. And when we got to the counter to order - we were told it was "too close to closing" so no more orders would be taken. First of all - it was still 10 min prior to closing at that point. Second - why did they allow me to wait in line before they said something?? Poor form. Never been here before. I called ahead of time to see if they offered a menu online, the guy that answered the phone said he didn't know, (???!) and that they do DoorDash and I could look there for the menu... I thought that was odd. I ended up walking in. I like the variety of the menu items. I ordered the Fajita Burrito. It was VERY messy, I had to use a knife and fork to eat it, but it was so good and jammed packed with ingredients. The burrito itself must've weighed at least 2 pounds! Which I hope so since I paid $12 for a burrito. I had left overs for the next day. I liked the variety of salsa they offered, also. No major complaints. I would definitely return. read more

I base my rating of Mexican restaurants on 3 things: their chicken burritos, salsa/chips, and enchilada sauce. So here goes: Chicken in burrito- chunky and slightly lacking flavor. I prefer more of a tender and saucy chicken. I give it a 2/5. Chips/salsa- first off, I asked for chips and salsa and was given only a few chips on my plate. I ended up going and paying $2.50 for a basket. The chips were good, light and crispy. The salsa (which was self-serve at a bar with tiny little cups that one would expect at a fast food establishment- NOT A FAN!)... Was ok but every one of them was slightly sweet like with added sugar. Chips-5, salsa- 2. Enchilada sauce (red)- again, slightly sweet! Not a fan. Good flavor though under the sweetness. 3. I may return to try a salad but this will not be in the rotation for regular visits read more

The food was decent, it's not awful, the Chimaya salad was actually really good though. Although, service was not all great. The best part of Figaro's is the freshness of everything. I maybe a little biased in they serve one of my favorite beers on tap, in a chilled glass and arrives ice cold. Most importantly, if you want lime, salt, etc you have to do it yourself. Figaro's is a taqueria. The menu is all about tacos, & burritos. I did see tostadas and tortas on the menu, and our son had the Nachos with chicken. My wife had the fajita tacos and I has the cammarones (shrimp) burrito. The Nachos were a lot for one person. It is on the appetizers menu so I think it's by design. The fajita tacos were a hit with my wife. They were absolutely loaded with grilled peppers and onions. The cammarones burrito was big. The shrimp was great. It did seem a little too much rice and I didn't really like the salsa that came with it. It was supposed to be a chipotle salsa but tasted more like a pico de gallo. I ended up digging the pico out and eating the destroyed burrito with a fork. The salsa bar options were fantastic. Next time I would order the same burrito with the habanero salsa instead of the Chipotle salsa. Every plate had a handful of tortilla chips. The tacos also had beans and rice. read more

When you live in East Clovis you're very limited on restaurants except fast food. I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in the door; I think I assumed it was another Arsenio's type of place- NOPE! It's a real restaurant! I wasn't wanting anything heavy so I tried the salmon salad and it was very light and flavorful! I do look forward to trying their other items. Ate at the Visalia location twice, but a long time ago, about a year apart. It was pretty good but as a rule I don't like "Southwestern" Tex-Mex stuff like Baja Grill, Chipotle, etc. but it's better than that by a bunch. When I tried Clovis yesterday, I ordered the Chili Verde Burrito (wet) and was pleasantly surprised. It was better than I remember at the Visa location. My friend had a steak burrito and he was pleased and hrs as happy as old Lena except he doesn't hate people. The salsa bar was nice, I tried 3 of them and was happy. The Habanero was a kicker ! If poor Lena thinks the habanero one is not hot, she may have a medical condition which could explain her calling many foods bad and tasteless in her often negative reviews. ITS HOT! D*** HOT ! Any suggestion I may have is that they label the salsas in the bar so people know what type and heat level they are getting. It may also cut down on waste. Since they are so new, I know in time the young men who are "whispering" the order numbers as they come out will learn to SOUND OFF so we can hear. The building is larger than it looks and there's a lot of noise that echoes off the walls. So yes, I'm very happy they came to Clovis. I wish them well. I wonder how they would do opening early on weekends and adding a few breakfast items ? It's hard to find Mexican breakfast in Clovis . Only Rosa Linda's does it, the rest don't open until 11. Just add eggs to existing dishes, chili verde and eggs, add bacon and eggs' maybe some simple pancakes. Just an idea. read more

Customer service was great but the food was not so great. I got a burrito and they filled it with pico de gallo salsa. The problem was they didn't drain the salsa prior to putting it in the burrito. This caused the tortilla to become extremely soggy. Ruined the entire burrito. My wife had a burrito and the asada was not fresh. Ist time here and was impressed. The beer was cold and the food was pretty good. I had the Chile Verde burrito. It had white rice, cheese, green salsa and chunks of tender pork inside. I wish it was warmer on the inside but oh well. My husband had the fish burrito. I'm not a fish person so I didn't try it. He really liked it though. We liked that they had a couple of t.v's to with the football game on. Nice and clean inside as well as the restrooms. Oh and they also have some outdoor seating. Just had lunch here and it was really good. Even though the menu is extensive and lots of options we went with 2 of the specials of the day. One was 2 shrimp enchiladas with beans and rice and.I liked it a lot. Good size shrimp and a nice flavor. The other special that was ordered was eggplant quesadillas also so very good. Both orders were big and plentiful; needed a doggy bag for one. Even though these two items may not be available regularly, we were so satisfied that we can hardly wait to go back and try some new items. Lastly, the employees were so friendly. Best ceviche in the area! I haven't tried much else on the menu because I am so obsessed with how fresh, healthy and delicious their generous serving of ceviche and chips is. I regularly order from the Clovis location at least once a week for take out and have never been disappointed in the quality or service of the food and staff. Also, on top of the salad was a little tostada shell that had a tsp. of beans and cold pieces of chicken which was weird. My daughter ordered two shrimp tacos and they came as two separate orders.
