Some of the best pizza I've had. It was super light and airy with a really thin crust. It was also just crispy enough. They are personal pizzas but can easily be split between two people especially with all of the yummy and filling ingredients on top. The Burrata pizza was amazing. It had an Italian meat, basil, Olive oil, tomatoes, and a big ball of Burrata cheese in the center. The cheese just melts in your mouth, so tasty. You even get to cut the pizza yourself with these fancy scissors. It wasn't too busy on a Saturday night. We went a little after dinner time around 8pm and sat outside. If you're looking for some of the best 'fancy' pizza in Providence, you have to try Figidini. Stopped by this weekend for dinner, and from drinks to apps to pizza to service, we were not disappointed! Because we visited during COVID era we opted to make reservations just to be sure. We were able to grab an indoor table even though we waited until the day of to call. The tables are properly spaced and everyone was wearing masks. Our server seemed to be taking care of the entire restaurant, but still managed to be amazingly attentive. We started with drinks - they boast a unique and fun cocktail menu. I had the Negronia and my boyfriend the Pride of Providence - both delicious and ample in size and alcohol. For food - *we noticed that the online take-out menu includes the specials so it's longer than the sit down menu. Be sure to check it out, in case you miss any of the specials!* We started with the prosciutto wrapped figs and grilled artichokes. Both wonderfully cooked, without too many added flavors/sauces/seasonings to let the pure flavors come through. The portions were large enough to split with one other person (we got 4 figs and 4 artichokes). Finally, we ordered the 'Nduja pizza and it was amazing. The wood fired crust is everything you want it to be - evenly baked, not too crispy or burnt on any edges, with a fluffy crust that surrounds with pizza without being too overwhelming or overly starchy. The toppings were delicious - again, they adorn the pizza with a few simple but powerful ingredients to let each individual flavor shine through without relying on extra sauces or seasonings. Ultimately, its a fantastic pizza experience. The only downside is the size of the pizza for the price - certainly a hungry patron could eat a whole pizza themselves. A friend recommended Figidini to us to try on a trip to Providence. Truly it was one of the best pizzas we had ever eaten! The thin crust is amazingly light and actually fluffy- the waitress said that it is made without oil and of course made in a wood-fired grill. It doesn't weigh you down or sit in your stomach like some pizzas. This is a departure for me since I usually prefer a deep dish crust! They even bring you a special pair of scissors to cut the pizza which works fantastically. I got the special that evening which was delicious, but isn't on the normal menu - basil, pancetta, cheese and topped with an egg!! As good as that was the most delectable thing we had was the artichoke dish - Wow! It was grilled and brushed with a basil lemonette which set off the flavors perfectly. I almost ordered another one. You MUST order this! For dessert there was a bread pudding, also grilled, with coconut which I am a huge fan of. I will definitely go back there when we get the chance. read more

I do not write reviews often but let me tell you this place hit every mark with an exclamation so I wanted to share. We had spent the last few nights in Newport and ate at the very best restaurants in town and after we left here we unanimously said this was better than all of them! We walked in without reservations and soon realized we were very fortunate to get a table because it became very busy soon after. We ordered the corn on the cob special which chef paired beautifully with unique ingredients making it magical! We also ordered an arugula salad with a warm goat cheese cooked on focaccia placed perfectly atop the salad with the exact amount of balsamic dressing to make it shine without overdressing . Our waitress suggested the chicken thighs & were absolutely perfect! Crispy on the outside and tender, juicy and with spices that I'm sure could not be replicated! Order this!! We also ordered a margarita pizza & a burrata pizza both perfect! My husband usually only likes thin crust crispy pizza but this style was a fluffy, light and crust with a lot of movement and cooked to perfection and extraordinary! We live in California and eat farm to table as often as possible (which is a lot), and what I can say is that the quality of ingredients the chef is using is well worth the higher price. Whether you live nearby or passing through don't miss the opportunity to find a restaurant & chef willing to create a masterpiece! I could be on an overly generous star-giving streak, but I had a great first experience at Figidini's. I am currently on a Greece high (it's a problem--if you ever go there, beware of the Siren song!), so I was excited to see they offered a Greek red wine. As it turns out, St. George's wine is EFFING FANTASTIC, so I was already happy from the moment I had wine in my hand. As an appetizer, we got something with figs (obviously: Greece) and two pizzas, one of which was the special (with pesto) and the other of which was a white version of the margherita. The staff was very diligent about offering recommendations and describing how the pizzas worked: they weren't cut into slices (as true Italian pizzas are not), and they were within the realm of being consumed by one person (as true Italian pizzas are). End story: I finished my whole pizza; my date did not. When ladies are showing up their dates, we have problems--not with the pizzas, but with the dates. COME ON, DUDES. The pizza crust was divine. Every single time we go in, the food is out of this world delicious. They make their own dough fresh, multiple times a week. They use local ingredients and make their own pizza sauce. Came here on a Wednesday night and had a great experience accompanied by AMAZING food. My friend and I sat outside and the vibe of this place was great. It's casual and the staff are super friendly. We ordered two starters, the lamb and the corn. The lamb was a bit rough and overcooked, but the yogurt sauce it comes with is addicting. The corn was highly recommended to us by our waitress and I would say that her recommendation was definitely a good one. I didn't like how the corn was cut into halves because it's really awkward to eat (and also pretty messy) but otherwise the flavoring and portion size is quite decent. The pizza truly WOWed me and I will definitely go back for more. We ordered their current pizza special, which is essentially a margarita pizza with a honey and a bit of spice (I can't remember the name of it). Honestly it was SO GOOD. The crust is thin but still had a great breaded consistency and while the pizza is considered a personal pizza size, it's definitely quite large. If you order some starters, one pizza will definitely be enough to share between two people. The pizza is also very liquidy and the toppings slide right off so it is a bit of a mess to eat. They give you this pizza knife and you're supposed to rock it back and forth to cut it; ok that'll take forever. Luckily I brought a pair of scissors; I bring it to cut food for my 2yo. This tiny place tucked into the bottom floor of a parking garage feels more like Italy than anything on the Hill. It's an elegantly casual, cozy jewel box of a space. I was lucky enough that it was cool that evening and they had the front window open. Our waiter seemed a bit new, but I forgave him. I ordered a prosecco, which came in a personal split size. He gave it to me as if it were a beer - just an open bottle and it took a little while before I got a glass. He waited on us the 2nd time though and had no issues. It was so great that after the first time, I brought my in-laws the week after. The pizza is as phenomenal as everyone says. The crust is light but chewy and has a great flavor on its own. So good that they offer the Marinara pizza that is only topped with lightly cooked San Marzano tomatoes and basil. The result is really bright and clean tasting. There isn't a menu online so I will try to remember what else I had. I tried the Ricotta pizza - no red sauce, just ricotta, mozzarella, and spicy soppressata. You can tell the ricotta is rich and freshly made. I have also had the Cherry Tomato (their version of a basic Margharita style) and the Arugula with proscuitto. The chef is very good at expressing nuance in the simple ingredients. This is true for everything on the menu, not just the pizza. Not many people have mentioned their small plates, which could be a star tapas menu itself. The sweet and spicy sausages were flavorful and tender. The flavor was great but the texture of the sausage was also beautiful. If you like calamari, you MUST get the calamari. It is not the breaded stuff we are used to. Just fresh squid, given a tiny flash under the flames so that there is a bit of char but the squid remains light and tender. The seasonings were light and the whole dish was in perfect balance. This place is my favorite spot in Providence right now. I've been twice in the past week and I can't wait to go back again! The space is really welcoming and I love that the front windows are wide open on cool nights. The ruby is my second favorite grapefruit cocktail in the city (Lili's still has my heart) and the sparkling rosé by the glass is fabulous, too (especially in their fun coupes)! The spiced marcona almonds sound simple (and they are) but they should be a bar snack staple everywhere. I love the spicy seasoning that they use to roast them. Pizzas are obviously the star of the menu and I've enjoyed the margarita as well as a special they had last weekend with buffalo mozzarella, salami, and two farm eggs on top. It was our group's absolute favorite! I also tried the wood grilled skirt steak on my first trip, which was smoky and tender with a rich sauce drizzled on top. Very good wholesome foods! I am generally a Paleo eater and even though it was my cheat day and I had a slice I can at the very least say I didn't feel as lousy as I normally so during cheat days? The cheese on the pizza was super fresh and the ricotta was like butter. Yum. Every pizza should have ricotta. I also had the tomato salad, which was like a middle eastern shepherd salad, which is so miraculous to find in this lettuce laden city of ours. I also tried the sausage and lamb combo small plate which was anything but small, so I envision it to be suitable for Paleo days. It was not small at all, yum. What is really cool about this place in a city of food excellence is the decor, it's so cozy and well thought all the way down to the beer bottle valance in the rest room. You can tell that it wasn't just the food that was made with love. I give this place 5 stars for decor and food. If there was a sixth star for services I'd give it. As for food, I went all in and got a sweet potato pizza for myself. Now, you may be wondering what kind of a combination that is. Sweet potato on cheesy, wood-fired pizza? Really? Well, yes. Really. It is one of the best damn pizzas I've had in the last few years. Throw sweet potato, caramelised onions and goat cheese on a well-crafted pizza, and you do not lose. I knew the pizza was going to fill me up too much for dessert, so midway through the meal I decided to indulge in another cocktail. As luck would have it, Figidini had hosted a special cocktail dinner the previous night, and all the drink options were still available! This is authentic Neapolitan pizza, if you want American style pizza, you have plenty of other options in town. First of all, try walking past this place without being seduced by the scents coming from inside. The aroma from the wood fired oven beckons from 50 yards in any direction. The menu is concise but offers plenty of variety. Treat the grill menu like tapas and you won't leave hungry. If you're like me and believe the blame for America's obesity epidemic lies directly on the shoulders of fast food pizza places with chocolate chip cookies baked into the crust, you will appreciate Figidini's delicate approach. The chef has plenty of different combinations to entice you. Prices are on par with other Neapolitan places I've tried using quality ingredients. Finally got around to trying Figindi after many months of seeing their unique and varied weekly menus! Everything there is cooked using a single source, wood fire, which intrigued me.Not to mention NUTELLA CALZONES! On our first visit, we chose to takeout and tried a multitude of items... The charred Kale salad was AMAZING ...an explosion of flavors. The balanced and well chosen vinaigrette were perfect. We also tried the cacio de pepi risotto with two voteable dishes, rabi and coal roasted squash. I can be picky with rabi, but this was DELICIOUS and featured a black garlic tahini sauce, pistachios and lemon zest - it paired well with the risotto! I was intrigued by the coal roasted squash described as maple roasted glazed with juniper and mustard greens... I wasn't as impressed with this. Each piece was a little different...the first piece I tried was overly seasoned and hard...the second was a bit better; sweeter and softer. We opted to try one of their calzones, kale and inion. It was served with a size of red sauce and was delicious! Came with light layer of ricotta cheese the crust was so fresh, light and perfectly wood fired! Now I know I mentiond the Nutella calzones, but they had a very interesting dessert special we wanted to try... Smoked cheesecake , sugared cranberries, candied pipits and spiced pumpkin emulsion. I mean the description literally contained some of my favorite things! Plus I was intrigued by "Smoked" cheesecake ! Had . To. Try! The flavor explosion was incredible ; a taste I have never tasted before The cheesecake was small little cheese rounds and a tad drier than I would have liked. They were also smaller than what I imagined compared to the IG post that lured me in to get it (I'll post both pics for you to see). I wish I could 4.5 stars, but it will not allow that. I would like to try Nutella calzone next time along with whatever other creations they have that week...definitely like the idea to be able to check weekly for different items. This pizza is absolutely gorgeous and my husband and I were convinced we would love it, but sadly the pizza was thin and soggy even though it was picked up as soon as it was ready. We ordered takeout, and slices weren't cut which made eating it very difficult. The outer crust was nice and fluffy, but we thought the tomato sauce was pretty bland. read more

Oh deliciousness, otherwise known as Figidini, thank you so much for coming to Providence. They offer impeccable service, quality ingredients, and delicious cocktails. My pick is the whiskey sour! I love how open the kitchen and concrete fire oven is, especially while it is cold and snowy outside. Figidinis is incredibly intimate, and doesn't have extensive seating - so make plans ahead of time! If you're like me, pick the daily pizza. If there's egg on it - give it a go! You won't be sorry :) The reason for one star less than perfection? Downtown's major downfall in my opinion - parking. God I wish there was better public transportation so I didn't have to worry about paying for parking. Watch out Figidini's! I'll be back! read more
