I stopped by for a live scan and brought my 2 toddler children with me. The man at the front welcomed me in and asked me to take out my forms. As I was looking for my forms, he turned on his TV and put on Elmo for my kids! Such a small gesture makes a big difference when running errands with kids!! The man was so patient and thorough with the live scan process. My kids became a little antsy, but the man kept his cool and smiled throughout. Came here for finger printing for a new job. I expected to wait for a while since another store in the Marina told me to come back the next day because it would take them an hour to get the prints of the gentleman ahead of me (it was around 4.15PM and they close at 6.30PM - so I didn't understand why they asked me to come back the next day). It's ridiculous to spend an hour taking fingerprints - even the immigration only takes 10 minutes! Long story short - I decided to go to another store my employer suggested to me and that's how I landed in Fillmore Postal. The owner was super friendly. While he was very thorough in making sure that all the fingerprints are perfect (he even called the company to make sure the prints are legible etc) - he was fast. He gave very clear and direct instructions on what he had to do and what I had to do. He made sure that I wouldn't have to come back to repeat the process - and I really appreciate that gesture which means he respects his customers' time. I was extremely surprised to see the favorable rating of this business as I had a very different experience. On 12/24/21 I took three properly packaged returns with documentation to this designated DHL location. I had never returned anything before using DHL, so, did not have experience with their return process. When I went in (day before Christmas) the employee who always seems to be there gestured at a bin and told me to drop off my packages. I asked for some type of proof of drop off and he just shrugged his shoulders and said DHL would "take care of it". He acted like he wasn't supposed to do anything. To make a long story short, 2 of the packages were returned properly and I have received a refund. The 3rd package has simply vanished into the metaverse. He should have scanned the items into the DHL system in front of me and given me a receipt. Bottom line, because of this screw up (package either stolen or by sheer incompetence lost) I may have to pay $600 for a dress I will never wear. I have returned to his shop (he will never help me on the phone) 2 times trying to sort this out. The first time I went back he told me 3 packages were scanned into the system on 12/24/21 but he would not tell me the waybill numbers "for security purposes" so I could try to match them to my drop offs. After I obtained the waybill numbers for all of my drop offs on that day, he completely changed his story and said there were only 2 drop offs that day. He has been extremely unhelpful to me with this problem. On my 2nd visit after I had gotten all the waybill numbers I reminded him that I had asked for a drop off receipt and he merely shrugged his shoulders and said "we never say no" and posited that he must have been very busy that day. I told him I was the only customer in the store on Christmas Eve. He had no response to that. Just be very careful when dealing with this shop, especially, if you are using it for DHL. read more

The owner is extremely professional, thorough, and kind. I have gotten two items notarized. The first time I got an item notarized I accidentally left my license and he immediately walked and dropped it off to me at my house (that was on my license) -- we are neighbors. He clearly didn't have to do that and it reminded me how wonderful it is to support local businesses. He also has a good place to get your mail instead of at your home if your packages or mail is often stolen and can ship through many different companies such as UPS, you can buy stamps etc. I don't give many places a yelp review but really love this place! read more

My last livescan (have had many) was a real troll at TSA (for Global Entry card) who didn't respect my arthritis in my hands (We're paying TSA for the G/E card, it's a profit center for them). At Fillmore Postal, Z made a call to the appropriate authorities to make sure my scanned prints were likely acceptable prior to submitting them...professional attention to detail. Just called Fillmore Postal to inquire about renting a mailbox. The employee told me they had them and to go to their website. I was driving while placing the call and only needed to know the price. He told me it was online and had to go because he was with a customer (why would you answer the phone in the first place?!) While I was about to say I don't mind waiting, he hung up the phone. That's the thing with first impressions; you only get to make one. Despite this being the closest PMB to my home, I would rather push a cable car up Hyde St. than do business with Fillmore Postal. On the corner of McAllister and Fillmore, Ethio Bay Services doesn't look at all pretentious, none of that white-hat, no-free-paperclips Kinko business, but it still delivers the same stuff with an even better, more friendly, experience. I've walked down there to fax (reasonable rates), print (also cheap), and scan photos. Always friendly service, quick and affordable. (On a side note, I've also gone to get change for the MUNI and, I'll confess, just buy a couple of those 25 cent fun-sized Snickers). 5 stars, what more can you ask for in a copy shop? read more

I wish I can do negative star on this store. Terrible worst service of and kind I ever have. The store personnel is so strange that it was scary. I totally do not trust this place. They charged extra dollars for anything (not shipping related at all). I needed to use 3-4 inches of the clear tape and they charged a dollar. I asked a question and they wanted to charge a dollar.
