If you're looking to get scammed and have your time wasted, this is the dealership for you…read more We contacted Car Lux Inc. after finding a vehicle we were interested in. We told our salesperson, Maximus, that we had the money ready and would be driving down from Northern California within about a week to purchase it. Instead of simply holding the car, he immediately used pressure tactics, claiming it would likely sell unless we put down a **$500 refundable deposit**. Once we paid the deposit, the dealership marked the vehicle as sold and removed the listing, CarFax, and all of the vehicle information from their website. When we later asked for the CarFax again, Maximus suddenly became "too busy" to respond, despite previously replying almost instantly. Before making the trip, we specifically asked if there would be any issues paying with a cashier's check on July 4th since banks would be closed. Maximus told us to send him a photo of the check several days in advance so he could have it verified beforehand. We did exactly that, and he confirmed everything was good to go. After driving several hours to the dealership, everything fell apart. First, the vehicle was nothing like it had been represented. We were told it had new tires, yet the front tires had a 2012 manufacture date. The car was filthy, covered in scratches and paint chips, had faded paint, broken buttons, rattling mirrors, suspension issues, exhaust problems, and cheap aftermarket parts. Based on its condition, it likely needed close to **$10,000** in repairs. After spending hours test driving the car and completing paperwork, we were suddenly told our cashier's check had **never been verified**, despite Maximus previously confirming that it had been. The only option they offered was financing, which conveniently came with numerous undisclosed fees. Maximus repeatedly insisted he had verified the check until the finance manager called him out in front of us for lying and told us he would be **firing Maximus because this wasn't the first time he had made this kind of mistake**. Whether that was genuine or just for show, it was incredibly unprofessional. Read every line of the paperwork. The contracts included several undisclosed fees and add-ons, including a vehicle tracker we never requested. We believe many of these practices are deceptive, and **we will be filing complaints with both the FTC and the Better Business Bureau (BBB).** To make matters worse, getting our refundable deposit back became another ordeal. After we decided not to purchase the vehicle, they repeatedly stalled and told us to leave, promising they would send the refund later. We refused to leave without our money and informed them that we would involve the police if necessary. The moment law enforcement was mentioned, our $500 refund was processed within minutes. This was, without question, one of the worst dealership experiences we've ever had. Between the misleading description of the vehicle, high-pressure sales tactics, contradictory information, questionable contract practices, and the difficulty getting our own money back, I cannot recommend Car Lux Inc. to anyone. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration, and buy your car somewhere else.

I knew…read moreexactly which car I wanted, but there were a couple of other good options too, including a Model S. They (Mario and some other guy) acted like they didn't even want to give a test drive of ANY car. Because I'd just been in an accident, I needed to make sure the suspension actually felt like a luxury car. LOOK--I've been buying cars for a looooooooong time, especially sports and LUXURY cars. This was hands-down the ABSOLUTE WORST car-buying experience I've ever had. I was looking at three cars I was ready to buy TODAY, and what these idiots didn't realize is I needed to leave with a car today. While I was waitin to testdrive the Model S, they kept asking me, "How are you going to pay for it?"--as if I'm broke--before even letting me drive the cars, AND as if I OWE them an answer... DUDE, we're not even near that part of the process yet! THIS is the WEIRDEST SHI* I've ever experienced in my entire f*ing life. At Lexus they wine and dine you, free cappuccinos, snacks pastries popcorn.. give as much time is necessary getting you comfortable in the dealership. This is why Ive spend $70,000, $45,000 on a car there. These idiots didn't get the memo!! So OF COURSE I left when they made it feel uncomfortable. I go to another car dealership which didn't have anything I was interested in. but I met this young Asian guy from Korea who was also car shopping. he was looking for a convertible Mustang or convertible bmw. elegant cars had a convertible BMW in his price range! they LITERALLY had a DOUBLE SALE OPPORTUNITY!! I came back specifically to test drive the Tesla Model S, butNOW i brought this new friend who was ready to buy rt away... and again they're asking how I'm going to buy it without first making sure I even like the car. then even though the BMW convertible is listed online for sale they told the Korean boy that the BMW wasn't working at all..! I was like wtf!? I asked about the car earlier they never told me that! #HELLASHADY That's not how you sell ANY f*ing thing. Danny brought out a paper with the Model S's price, title and taxes total of almost 30k and I'm wondering why! like I already know what the price is, the price is no problem for me, and I STILL hadn't test drove the car yet!!! so it was just the strangest interaction that just was hella awkward which challenges explanation. Their hella f*ed attitude lost an EASY $30K LAY-DOWN. All they had to do was let me test-drive the two cars I was interested in. I would have paid and left! But in this scenario I simply just left LOL #DUMB #EXTRADUMB I honestly started questioning whether they sell cars AT ALL.

The salesmen were friendly and helpful. Because the vehicle was older than a 2016, no bank or credit union would finance it so I did financing through the dealership. Even though I have good credit, they still gave me a 12% rate. I would have given 5 stars with a more reasonable finance rate. Overall I would recommend them, but get your own financing if you can.

I wish I would have seen these reviews before I went to this dealership…read more THIS DEALERSHIP INTERACTION WAS ALL WITHIN 20 MINUTES AND I WAS NEVER OFFERED TO TEST DRIVE, NOR DID I GET TO SEE THE CAR: I was texting with what I later found out was a program, walked in and the guy at the front was completely rude about my last name (I have two last names and gave him both) "Which one is it?". I was directed to a desk where a sales woman named Chi came to greet me. Chi was completely professional and I was instantly relieved by her professionalism after my walk in experience. Chi steps away and brings a print out with the cost of the car, "add-ons", "fees", taxes, etc. I expect a dealership to offer me add-ons so I was prepared for that. I was NOT expecting the add-on's not to be listed with more than a cost of an additional $7000, plus $895 for another fee. Nothing was line itemed and the cost provided to me was more than $47,000 for a car I was expecting to pay $35,000 plus taxes and registration fees. At $47,000 I could purchase brand new Tesla Model Y *Look at Tesla's official website*. Under current California consumer protection principles and regulations like the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA), dealers must disclose that these products are optional. They cannot be presented as mandatory requirements to complete the purchase or secure financing. I declined and she needed speak with a manager. A guy comes out, does not introduce himself, does not sit, does not shake my hand, explains the "add-ons" without explaining what they are. I say "I do not want any add-ons. Just the car.", he talks again and I can see he's getting annoyed. I say "Are you saying that I cannot buy this Tesla without these add on's?" and he says "Yes!". I stand up, shake Chi's hand and thank her for her professionalism and say "Well this is not the dealership for me.", he says "Great!!" walks away and then I walk out. No "Junk" Fees: Charging for "valueless" add-ons--such as oil change packages for electric vehicles--is a prohibited practice. Bait-and-Switch Prohibitions: If a dealership advertises a vehicle at a specific price, they cannot later force you to pay for "mandatory" add-ons that were not disclosed in the original advertised price. This is considered deceptive advertising. Explicit Disclosure: Dealers are required to provide a written document (often under California Civil Code §2982) that itemizes the price of any products or services you are purchasing. You must give your clear consent for these items. I was a guaranteed sale. I walked in with $20,000 down payment and a $40,000 check from my credit union. I left angry but thankful for (1) I was only there for 20 minutes and (2) Chi's professionalism. I purchased a used Tesla the next morning from Tesla Norwalk (Wonderful experience!). DO NOT GO TO LA CITY.

The most unprofessional and off putting experience ever!…read more I found out about Carrolindia Auto Sales on Autotrader. For someone with bad credit this seemed like the perfect answer. I found for cars on the website i was interested in. I called the morning of the day i was going to go visit the store and asked if the cars were still available. When I got to Carrolandia i was approached by some woman who apparently worked there and started speaking to me in Spanish to me. After i made it clear i didn't speak Spanish she shewed me away and pointed towards the office. I went it to meet a sales man who had just stepped away from his lunch with a mouth full of food. I told him what i was interested in and told me that ALL of the cars i was interested in were not available. He actually told me the man on the phone lied to me about what he had in stock. OK.... I took a look at the inventory. He sales man was pushy and unprofessional. I found one car i was interested in and i asked the sales man what the payments would be like out of curiosity. It look 45 Min's for someone to finally meet with me. At one point another sales man clearly bored actually took out a guitar and started singing loudly in Spanish. When i finally entered his office. The finance agent apologized to me for the overwhelming smell in the office because he had just been smoking marijuana. That was the last straw. I left and never returned. Just simply how unprofessional these people were i would never give them my business. Or recommend that anyone else. They need to be taught how to treat there customers properly and how to be professional businessmen. Not to mention they need someone greeting customers who speaks English. They could have the most amazing cars in America but one would never know because of the service.

WARNING. Honestly to everyone and anyone reading this. BEWARE. This so called place of business…read moreshould be shut down immediately. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There is an obvious alarming rate of negative reviews and decades worth of consistent illegal activity here being reported. This place has a WELL deserved infamous reputation for a real reason. This place must be paying off the authorities or is a front for some other shady crooked dealings somehow. There's about 3 different phone numbers you find for this place. All active. Strange! The two slumped over men on site, sitting outside collecting dust midday...claimed that every person on the phone you speak to is an off site 3rd party service, like a call center. AVOID. The call center says they are there on site and will even give you their name so you can ask for them when you arrive. I spoke to a "Jordan" on the phone. The two men there sitting outside smoking and lounging about directed me in. I followed one of them into their barebones office. The want all my info BEFORE seeing anything or being shown anything. WEIRD. I only gave vague general answers. They never heard of him. They threw their phone operating service under the bus and said "yeah they always say that, I wish they wouldn't". LIAR. They have an ILLEGAL SCAM forced add on fee for GPS tracking. Which goes against the law! CRIMINALS. Many reviews mention this. They will look at you and inflate that price. They told me regardless of the car I chose it would be an additional $3,000 non-negotiable for this unnecessary strange pre-programmed system junk. EVEN if you are NOT financing. If you pay cash up front out the door it makes NO DIFFERENCE. They claimed they did not have either of the cars I saw online and confirmed with on the phone with "Jordan". BAIT AND SWITCH. He also said all the negative reviews online were due to the nature of the clientele in the "area" that want flashy cars but can't make the payments. He said they would finance anyone and everyone and even someone they repoed previously, that's why GPS tracking fee was required for financed cars. But that everything, including that add on fee is negotiable. NONSENSE. EMPTY PROMISES. They are TAKING ADVANTAGE of DESPERATE people! Claiming people get repoed and blame the dealership. Meanwhile...the place is a GHOST TOWN. Empty. DESERTED on Sunday afternoon and NO CUSTOMERS. We were clear in wanting to pay up front only after inspecting and testing the car. No intentions to finance. THEY DON'T CARE. They're not trying to sell cars. Something else is going on! The salesman had poor personal hygiene and was not well dressed. There was a very young man who said nothing slumped over hidden behind another desk station in street clothes that said nothing to us while doom scrolling on his phone. The place is FILTHY, grime and debris all over the floors! Nobody cares enough to pick up a broom or a mop. It looks like a tragic unloved waiting lobby for a detention center with metal benches bolted into the floor. The pictures on their website is a fantasy ILLUSION, no such facility exists. They astonishingly have multiple lots of cars that will sit there forever rusting and rotting. On seperate blocks believe it or not. YET if you sign up for alerts or to contact the dealership you get an automated text boasting that they sell 50 cars per day. "Jordan" on the phone told me 30 cars per day. HILARIOUS delusions! They got junkers everywhere. Scratched and scuffed and whole front fenders missing, just walking on the sidewalk a block down and they are lined up for all to see! Dented crumpled up license plates too! TRASH condition. They claim a free 30 day warranty and extended warranty for all repairs to come into their on site garage. SCAMMERS FULL OF FRAUD AND LIES. Be alert! I am not a disgruntled buyer of a car, I am a browsing customer that had the unfortunate displeasure of stepping inside and having my time WASTED. God bless the universe for protecting me from being schemed and SCREWED over by these SHADY CON-ARTISTS. Watch out and stay safe yall. DO NOT go there. Go somewhere else!
