Had an UP treatment to my S Plaid. I had them install the lowering links and rear sway bars. Great friendly staff and outstanding service! Their lounge was probably the best I ever experienced. Very bougie, has a vibe of a luxury hotel. They offer snacks and beverages. Even though there are many shops closer to me (Simi Valley) that can install their well engineered goods, I rather have them installed by the people who sells and designed them. After a few hours, Shahar picked me up and showed me my car and its new setup. The stance was perfect! I can tell the car was sharp and solid when I entered the freeway on-ramp. I had it set on soft because it will only see the streets and not the track. Maybe if I put stickier tires then I would change to stiffer settings. For now, the canyons would do. My next trip to their shop will put a set of lighter forged wheels, lighter brake rotors and street/track brake pads, SS brake lines and more suspension bits. read more

I took my 2024 Model 3 Performance Highland to Unplugged Performance in Hawthorne and I'm honestly really happy with how everything turned out. I swapped the stock 20 inch wheels for 19 inch racing wheels that are much lighter, and they mounted Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires that completely changed the way the car drives. The steering feels lighter and more precise, the ride is smoother, and the car even feels a little quicker. I have a device that measures it so I know it's real. They also road force balanced the wheels and tires, which made a big difference. The stock wheels and tires actually look fine, but they have their issues. The aero covers on the Performance Highland make this annoying creaking noise when you go from park to drive or move at slow speeds. The ride also felt choppy unless you dropped the pressure really low. I brought it into Tesla service in Costa Mesa a few times and they kept saying it was normal. The steering wheel was vibrating and when I offered to pay for a road force balance they told me not to, which was frustrating. That's when I started looking around and found Unplugged Performance. I've followed electric car news for years and didn't realize they were right here in Hawthorne. I talked to Kirk and he was great. He really knew what he was talking about and helped me choose the color and setup. I went with the UP03 wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. These tires are way better than the Pirelli P Zeros that came stock. They're smoother and they literally grip like glue. And the UP03 wheels look amazing. As good as they look online, they actually look even better in person. The finish, the design, everything about them just fits the car perfectly. They installed everything, balanced it perfectly, and when I picked up the car it drove like a completely different car. The steering is smooth, the vibration is gone, and it just feels solid. I placed an order with Unplugged Performance on Oct 30, 2025 for 22-inch Tesla Model Y Cyberhex Forged Wheels totaling $4,476 USD + $200 shipping. Over three months later, I still have no wheels, no delivery date, and no clear production timeline. Despite repeated follow-ups, communication has been slow, inconsistent, and reactive. I was repeatedly told the wheels were nearly ready, only waiting on center caps, and then later told there was no update from the vendor. I was encouraged multiple times to "wait a bit longer," only for weeks to pass with no progress. In February, I was told the wheels still weren't available and was asked if I wanted to switch to a different color or style instead. What makes this even more frustrating is that these exact wheels are still being actively sold on their website -- now at a significantly higher price -- while my paid order from October remains unfulfilled. From day one, the car had a noticeable issue: it would pull to the left whenever I let go of the steering wheel. I brought it to two different Tesla Service Centers, and after 4-5 alignments, the issue still wasn't resolved. Unplugged Performance was great in helping me buy replacement OEM parts from Tesla. Tesla service is the WORST!!! Tesla will not touch anything aftermarket on your car. They said I had to set up an appointment just to get info on replacement OEM parts needed for my model S. Appointments have typically been 5 to 9 days out. They do not allow the public to talk directly to their Parts Department. That's absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! They also didn't provide a delivery date for the parts that were ordered through Unplugged Performance. The parts took about 3 weeks for delivery. I made an order in August 18, 2024 for $2,932.50. Despite multiple assurances that the item would be delivered soon (through multiple phone conversations with Frank Sabo), I have never received the product. After months of waiting, I requested a refund on November 6, 2025, over a year later, and was told by Frank Sabo that the refund would be processed within 48 hours. It is now November 13, a full week later, and I have yet to receive the refund or any meaningful update. I had to call 6 separate times today to finally get through to Frank Sabo for him to only tell me that he has no manager I could speak to and there isn't anyone else I could speak with regarding this matter besides him. This situation is not only unacceptable--it is illegal. Taking payment for a product that was never delivered and then failing to issue a promised refund constitutes theft and consumer fraud. I have given ample time and opportunity for this matter to be resolved amicably. If I do not receive my refund immediately, I will be forced to escalate this issue. BBS Flugplatz x Unplugged Performance wheels Luxury coil over suspension Black alcantara headliner An efficiency spoiler Tint-bulletproof auto spa The biggest change is from the suspension. The luxury coil overs are what every Model Y should have. The ride is so smooth, yet it rides so much sportier (peep the drop and the new BBS wheels in the attached photo). Model Y should be built with this suspension from the factory it is that good. Night and day difference from the stock suspension which was hard, stiff, and honestly felt wobbly (if you have a model y with stock suspension, you know this). New BBS wheels are WAY better looking than Tesla's induction wheels. I have had so many compliments from people it's insane. Why wouldn't you want handmade wheels from Germany on your Tesla?? During November of 2021, I was fortunate to take delivery of a brand new Tesla Model Y Long Range. I had heard about the Unplugged Performance from watching YouTube videos and checking out some online forums. I like the idea that they were located close to where Tesla built their vehicles in California and had been tuning the Tesla models suspensions, brakes for track racing and street mods. My model Y suspension was a little harsh and bumpy as well as the around the corner sway was a little unstable for my taste. I wanted to get a better ride with a softer suspension and well as better handling and a more sportier look. I talked to the guys over at Unplugged Performance on what was needed to get the results I wanted and they were able to hook me up with all the parts I needed. At the time I didn't know how popular their Coil Over Suspension kits were and quickly found out that they were greatly back ordered and wouldn't get my order for several months. Well fast forward to December of 2022 after ordering from them earlier in the year, I finally received the kit along with front and rear sway bars. They were able to connect me with a certified installer here in the Pacific Northwest over at 425-MotorSport in Kirkland, WA. After picking up my vehicle after the install and adjustments, I have to say I was very impressed with the look, feel, handling and performance of my now modified Y. The neat thing about this install is that it's all adjustable from the ride height to the stiffness of the ride to how it bends around curves and corners. I had the suspension on my 2023 Tesla Model Y long range modified. I went with the luxury package to make the ride softer and this included new springs and shocks. The modification took the better part of one day as these people aim for perfection and total customer satisfaction. They are a pleasure to work with and did a wonderful job! I now have a much improved ride that at freeway speeds is amazingly stable but very comfortable and "non jarring". On our local San Diego streets (which are rutted and loaded with potholes) the ride is much smoother and more pleasant! I have a 2019 Tesla model three that I love, but the ride was getting on my nerves as I felt every bump. I did a search for third-party suppliers to retrofit the suspension system and came across the luxury suspension by Unplugged Performance out of California. They talked me through the product, the installation and provided an installing company in Pennsylvania (Evolution Autosports). Although the reviews were good, I was on shaking ground as I had no benchmark. The installation went well and I am super pleased! Absolutely terrible experience dealing with these guys for an online order of a front spoiler, perhaps the worst of any online order I have placed on the last 10 years. I placed the order in the beginning of December. Received an email receipt immediately but a week went by and no shipment info was sent so I asked for ETA on shipping. Three days later I get an "I don't know, I need to talk to some people" answer. Then 8 days later I got a follow up email that said it would be shipping in 3 weeks. Well 4 weeks go by with zero follow up and no shipment, so I contact them again. I am told the spoiler is going through paint process. I wait another 2 weeks and still no shipment and no follow up, so I email again. This email went unanswered so sent another email 3 days later. 1 day after that they finally reply to say "I will follow up with our body shop". At this point a full 2 months have passed since the order was placed. Over the next week there are several back-and-forth emails, each time they say they are going to ask the body shop. Nothing changes. I give up and wait another two weeks and try to contact them again. At this point they start to move into slimy used car salesmen stuff. They tell me that they "want to discuss solutions" when the only solution is to ship the part. I'm not having any of it. I wait until a full 4 months have passed (when I was originally told 4-5 weeks) and requested a refund. Finally a manger steps in and writes a huge long fluff piece about how they're so sorry and try to convince me to keep the order. I ask for a refund again. They repeat with an even longer sorry, please keep the order type email. I ask for a refund again. Any time that you have to ask someone for a refund 4x, that should be a red flag right there. After my 4th email asking for a refund, they tried to say that they would only give a partial refund and charge me a 30% "restocking fee" (several hundred dollars for nothing). Wow, really? With a 4 month lead time on front spoilers, they can literally ship this part out to the next guy in line tomorrow morning. That customer would be happy for a faster delivery. They had no legit fees incurred and at this point I knew I was basically getting scammed. So finally last night I had enough. I called my bank and reported them and got a chargeback. Nothing these guys told me was true, nothing ever shipped, and they want a restocking fee for cancellations on orders that don't ship after 4 months of waiting. Buyer beware! read more

The 90s was a time when the tuner culture began and it was very prevalent when I was In high school until the early 2000s. Strangely enough I feel the scene is back for many of us who grew up in the 90s, especially those who own Teslas. I really wanted to lower my car and looked at various brands, however I felt Unplugged Performance had the best to offer in terms of the quality of the material, the various drops offered and how the business was located in the Los Angeles area. Because of the popularity of the springs, I recommend you order them as soon as you can because it will take about a month. I ordered the moderate springs which are 1.5 inches; in between the mild (1inch) and the low (2 inches). After my shipment arrived I decided to take their offer and get my springs installed at their garage in Hawthorne. The price is only $300 including tax! Also I highly recommend you install the springs over there because there have been cases where other mechanics have installed them wrong. A guy I met there dropped his car off with me this morning complaining about squeaky noise and they discovered that his springs were installed incorrectly. He has to pay for the labor to get it readjusted. My appointment was at 10am but came by at 9:30. I went inside, sat on a couch and just did work on my laptop. (Btw their free WiFi doesn't work). To my surprise they were done in 1.5 hours. They have 2 or 3 guys working on a car so it's very efficient. Great work and great job to the team at Unplugged.
