    Patatas Bravas
    Keann H.

Finca is a Spanish/Basque tapa and pintxos bar located in the heart of downtown. We tried a variety of dishes including gambas, albondighas, patata bravas, and pan con tomate. The patatas bravas were the most authentic in flavor but the potato chunks were a bit too large to enjoy, and having them in smaller chunks is an easy fix to improve the eating experience and make it far less clumsy. The gambas had good flavor, so did the meatballs but they were quite dry and could be improved. Sadly our pan con tomate was raw when it came out so I had to ask for it to be sent back, but the waitstaff were apologetic and extremely nice about it. The honey sage gintonic I had was so good. It tasted well balanced and not too alcoholic, but it definitely packed a punch. Sipping on this while eating tapas was the perfect combination. Overall none of the food was too memorable but the place itself has great ambiance, music, and workers so I enjoyed spending my dinner there.

Patatas Bravas! Delicious!! Was my favorite!!

Wonderful dinner this evening before an Eccles show next door. We had reservations and were taken right to our table. Service was excellent and really enjoyed the vibe! I love Gin and Tonics, and they have a whole selection to choose from!! I got the Onsen, which has Japanese Roku Gin, my favorite! My husband got a nonalcoholic G&T. We shared the Pan con Tomate, Cerdo, Colifor and Patatas Bravas!! Everything had great flavor and the portions were great for sharing! Can't wait to come back and try some more G&Ts and other menu items!!

i lived in the basque country for a few months and was super excited to try this place. it had a lot of my favorite spanish classics as well as other basque offerings like gildas and classic alcohols from the area like sidra, cava or even txakoli. their drinks were good, we had the honey sage gin and tonic and it was strong but super tasty. service was fantastic, waiter was super attentive and friendly. he seemed excited to serve us our food and knowledgeable as well. we also had an issue with one of our dishes and he gladly helped us. food was hit or miss, i enjoyed the gambas. traditionally in spain every time i've had gambas they usually use huge shrimps but these were a bunch of smaller shrimps. i didn't mind and it was still my favorite dish of the night, super garlicky and had some bread to soak up the delicious flavors. the patatas bravas were alright, i thought the sauces were okay, usually the andalouse sauce is spicy but this one wasn't so that was kinda lacking. the white garlicky sauce was delicious though. my main complaint about the patatas were that the potato itself was too big, i prefer when they're cut into chunks or sort of cubes so you can eat each potato in one bite. we also got albóndigas, they were honestly dry and a little stiff. i also thought the meat itself could be seasoned better with more salt at least but the sauce was fragrant and delicious. lastly we had the pan con tomate, i've never seen it made this way where it's kind of on a pizza bread? i'm not sure. we ended up returning this because the bread was uncooked and had a raw dough mouth feel. the one bite i took out of it wasn't my favorite either, it just completely missed the mark of a traditional spanish pan con tomate. it didn't taste salty or oily enough and the tomato flavor itself wasn't very sweet or fresh. overall though the ambiance was great, it was calm and had good music. i'd come back for the drinks and perhaps to try their tortilla

At the top there's the "tosta de setas." On the bottom left was the "datiles." Bottom right was the "plato de queso" I think.

Everything that made this place wonderful is gone. The food was bad, the service was poor, the bathrooms were filthy, and all the amazing people who made this place feel incredible had left. I don't know if it was sold and put under new management but it was a solidly disappointing experience the last couple times we went. It was once wonderful. Now just disappointing.

This was an awesome place!! They offer such good tapas and great interesting variety with a nice Spanish flare. Friendly service with excellent recommendations.

One of the worst meals I have ever been served in Salt Lake City. Everything was subpar at best but the truly memorably bad dish was Jamon Serrano. They cut the face off of the bag of potato chips and dumped in some cheap ham which was then served to us. It is comically bad! Not to mention costing $15!!!!!

A hidden gem. Great location- easy to find parking at city creek and a short walk on over to the restaurant. FYI this place is 21+ only. They card at the door (even if you have no intention of drinking- bring your ID). The menu felt simple but appealing. Limited seating to create a small intimate vibe. Some bar seating available as well. Super friendly staff!!! They created some veggie options and mocktails for us off the menu. Everything was super tasty and we left happy and full!

Have to share an update! After attending the soft opening, I was ecstatic to also attend their grand opening. And it was everything I could have imagined, and then some! The staff all had such a great flow with one another, and between areas. We were taken such good care of by everyone there. I had the chance to chat with the Chefs in the kitchen, and you can tell they truly care about the food they're putting out, and the people they're feeding. We also had the opportunity to meet and speak with the owner for a few minutes, the passion he has for the food, and this place are palpable. He was so excited to share his love with everyone. And that's a gem. His knowledge of traditional Spanish cuisine, and his excitement about being able to share that with others, was infectious. We already knew we would like Finca Pintxos, but now we absolutely love it.

A Spanish bar that is not to far off from a good modern Spanish bar in Madrid . Has all the classic dishes, and some vegetarian and vegan options. The vermut rojo is a must order Spanish drink ! Amazing and funny staff !

Fantastic! From amazing cocktails (recommend the Bees thoughtfully mixed by Chad or anything Lando makes really) coupled with small plates expertly crafted by Cameron... you should not miss this spot!

SO delicious and such amazing service. Tastes just like Spain. Will definitely be back!

    Olives with anchovy

What a great addition to SLC! Truly authentic Spanish cuisine, in a wonderful atmosphere. Sit at the bar, talk to the super-friendly staff and enjoy a glass of wine and tapas. The tapas are first-rate. The gildas (olives and an anchovy) will make you think you're in Spain. The tortilla and the allioli were delicious. The pan con tomate was a home run. They bake the bread for this at the restaurant. It's a simple dish, but in Spain it is a part of life, and it was amazing at Finca Pintxos Bar.

    Churro

Drinks, food and dessert was all delicious! Would recommend the Datil, Cerdo Tosta De Setas, Gambas and Churros. Service was also great and very welcoming.

The interior is refreshed and more comfortable than it used to be. It's quiet enough to have a conversation but there is nice music for vibes. I was here with a friend and we ordered mostly small plates to sample and everything was fantastic. No misses at all. Cocktails were excellent as well. They are on the small side but tasted wonderful and packed a punch. Service was very good and the timing of everything that came out was spot on. The only weird thing was when I wanted to pay cash, the server came back to our table with his personal wallet to make change, which he couldn't and I ended up having to use my card. Not a big deal but very weird for a restaurant to not have cash to make change. If there was something that said electronic payment only, I guess I missed it. Anyhow, over all it was a very good experience and this place still slaps. I can't wait to go back with my SO.

The wine list is long, though there is not much by the glass. The reds we tried were good. The Crianza was my favorite, young and light but still flavorful, with a subtle dry finish. We ordered tortilla española, torta de cecina, patatas bravas, mejillones, and pinchos morunos. Everything had great flavor. There was some inconsistency with temperature. The patatas came out just warm, while other dishes were very hot. The pinchos morunos turned out to be more like a meatball on a stick. That may have been my misunderstanding, but when I see lamb pincho I expect grilled pieces of lamb. They were tasty, just more basic than I expected. For dessert we had churros. This may be personal preference, but I like to pick up a churro and dip it in chocolate without it breaking apart. These were more like a fried cake in the shape of a churro and required a spoon. They also have what looks like a very nice patio for good weather. I would be a bit concerned about speed of service if the patio is full, since the kitchen seems quite small. Overall, it was a good experience with well executed and flavorful tapas.

I feel like the hostess must have unexpectedly been out because the folks managing seating and reservations seemed a little lost. This was our first time here and I was pretty concerned about what the rest of our experience would be. We got to our table and then sat there for 10 minutes without any kind of greeting. Following the disorganization of getting seated, we weren't sure what was happening and almost left. I'm so glad we stayed. Once our server greeted us, it was smooth the rest of the evening. We ordered drinks (Old Fashioned and wine), both were excellent. Someone brought delicious soft rolls with olive oil and balsamic vinegar-excellent. We stuck with tapas and the portions were bigger than expected. We had a whole lineup of items we wanted, but filled up after three. We ordered a charcuterie plate that was an off menu special. Iberico and a truffle manchego cheese and a rosemary manchego cheese served with toasted baguette and grapes. It was delicious! We also ordered the Gambas Al ajillo salsa Roja (shrimp in a red sauce) and the Pulpo à la gallega (octopus). The shrimp were incredible. I could have eaten the sauce with a spoon. Okay, I DID eat the sauce with a spoon and then asked for more bread to sop it up. The octopus was a surprise. My husband ordered it and I was prepared to try a small bite. It was fantastic. The octopus was nicely chewy without being rubbery at all. And it was served with potatoes in a thin sauce that tasted like olive oil and paprika and onion. So good. We looked at the desserts and my heart said yes while my full stomach said no. I almost ordered the crème brûlée cake to go, but decided to come back another day. Our server (Zack) was great! I really think something happened with the hostess because the rest of the evening was so smooth. Very interesting interior. We sat at a small cafe table that felt strangely intimate despite how crowded it was. We'll be back!
