I rarely write reviews like this, but this experience was so unacceptable that it needs to be shared. I ordered multiple meals from this restaurant, expecting a decent experience. Instead, I purchased two antipasto salad with tuna that was clearly spoiled it had a foul odor the moment I opened it. This wasn't a "maybe it's off" situation it was unmistakably bad. I immediately called the restaurant and was told to bring it back. Unfortunately, before I could warn my friend, he had already eaten most of his salad. What followed was not just inconvenient it was alarming. He ended up sick and in the bathroom for two days. That alone should tell you everything you need to know about the condition of the food. When I returned to the restaurant with the salad, I expected at the very least a refund or a replacement. Instead, the owner refused both. No accountability. No concern. Just excuses. He even said it "wasn't fair to him" and bizarrely mentioned he was going to fire the waitress as if that somehow addressed serving spoiled food. Let me be clear: this was not a service issue. This was a food safety issue. I told the owner I would take the loss, but that our relationship is now permanently severed--and I meant it. There is absolutely no reason to return to a place that serves unsafe food and then refuses to take responsibility. If you value your health and basic customer respect, I strongly suggest you think twice before ordering from here. read more

Phoned in order, simple medium pep, told 20 min, we chose this on name and was close to event, 30 min/got pizza thin no flavor dough, cheese was all in middle very very few pepperonis maybe 3 per 2 slices & were cut through most of them. Cheese was so blah oily/greasy oh, its not from pepperonis! I could see dough through the thin spread red sauce. Next time we try Bellas Siclia Restraunt we saw on the way out of Courthouse area! Rocco's Pizza isn't much to look at, but their food is delicious. We eat there at least once a month. Their Sicilian pizza is really great. Their cheesesteak sub supreme is also top notch! read more

Rocco's has been around for as long as I can remember. I remember going there to eat for a birthday party when I was a little girl. It wasn't the best back then but wasn't the worst either. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same for this place now. To say that it has gone downhill would be a massive understatement. Sad to say this about a restaurant in my hometown but it is the worst restaurant that I have ever been to. My husband, 5 year old daughter and I recently went there for dinner and it was an overall bad experience. The staff reeked of smoke (I'm a former smoker and could barely tolerate it), the waiters appearance weren't much better than their smell, the restrooms were absolutely nasty, the quality of the food was awful, the air or lack there of was stuffy and it seemed like the only customers there were maybe the regulars who seemed to be good friends with the staff but also had the smell and looks that mirrored them as well but to top off the entire dreadful involvement -- my husband (shortly after we left) started having terrible stomach issues. The only positive item that I have for this place is the sweet tea was good but, not good enough for me to ever go back. We will not be returning customers. read more

With the choice between here and a fancier option next door we opted for pizza as we had just left the gym and were feeling a bit casual. Rocco's was the perfect choice! You have to take this place for what it is.. a small country pizza spot with vinyl tablecloths and a bell to ring to be seated. We didn't need the bell and were greeted fairly promptly by a sweet waitress who made sure our drinks were full and had boxes when we left. It could def use a good scrub down and a makeover (think old wall paper and outdated fixtures). Despite its looks we were pleasantly surprised with our meal. The pizza was ooey gooey cheesy, the fries were crispy and the cheesesteak hoagie was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The dining area is small & could use some music as it was almost painfully silent as there were only two other tables but if your looking for a low key affordable meal, look no further! Classic story of "dont judge a book by its cover". Not the most appealing place to eat based on its looks but the food was delicious and priced affordably! The tables were covered with old school table cloths that look like they came out of my 7th birthday party but at least they were clean! The wallpaper was definitely outdated, and the grout in between the tiles wasn't the brightest, but it was almost nostalgic. Thankfully I didnt come here to eat the decor, SO we ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and philly cheesesteak with fries. I loved the pizza! It was super cheesy, perfect amount of pepperoni, and I loved the crust. Not to thick and not too thin, and tasted homemade. The philly cheesesteak had delicious thinly sliced, bite-sized pieces of steak, full of flavor. The fries reminded me of McDonald's fries, in a good way lol. They actually have a pretty big menu so I'll definitely be back to try some more stuff out! read more

It's often undercooked, which means an extra few minutes in the oven when we get it home, and the overall flavor is very "eh." I would rather shoot myself in the tongue than to go to this place. First off, it is the most smoke filled place I've been to. Even with the separation of smoking to another area from the front sitting room, it still stinks so much as to impact the taste of the food. On top of that, the pizza, pasta and every thing else I've tried is not even edible. I am a hearty eater, but I have yet to find something that they make that I will finish. I recognize that others I know really like the place and maybe it is just that I don't recognize it for what it's worth. However, I don't think I will ever return if I can help it. read more

Absolutely disgusting. I have ordered food here 3x and every single time I was sick throwing up for hours. Today I ordered the club sub with cheese fries (1st meal of the day) I am again vomiting. I'm pretty certain I have food poisoning and am currently getting dressed to go to Patient First. When I called the restaurant to explain the situation,the staff was extremely rude and told me they couldn't provide a refund. If I could give this place 0 stars I totally would. Never again. So I wanted to try a different place. This restaurant appears to be surviving by a thread. God bless working moms. I can totally understand the hardships of trying to work and have enough money, however if you work in a place and have your kids, you must try to make your kids behave and stay somewhat quiet... it would be impossible when I was a kid though. Had their pizza. I hate to say it but Dominos is better. The house salad was decent. I hope the owner of the restaurant takes a hard look and update some details. My fiancé & I decided to try this place because we're new to Goochland & the reviews for the cheesesteak were great. We were greeted by a man sitting behind the counter that mumbled that we could sit wherever we wanted. The decor was old & made me feel dirty. My fiancé absolutely loved the cheesesteak but the onion rings he ordered were nasty, they tasted as if they were fried with old fish. I got the spaghetti & it was just ok. The side salad would have been better if it didn't have wilted lettuce & if they had house dressing. I do not want to comment on the staff because I think it would be too mean. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The bar on the side looked crowded so maybe it's better than the main restaurant. read more

Best Sicilian pizza around, Tuesday's they have a large cheese pizza's for $7.99. I personally like their sweet tea also.

I eat here at least once a month and while they do have a smoking area that smells bad it is not noticeable (to me) in the eating area. The pizzas are at least as good as any chain pizza joint and the subs are pretty awesome too. Not fancy or overly expensive either. read more

My work sends me to goochland j sergeant Reynolds campus for training pretty often. I always go to Rocco's for lunch. I absolutely love the food here and the service is great every time. I would definitely recommend going here if you have the chance. read more

Tasteless sauce, barely any cheese chewy crust and who ever told them that slicing up cheap sausage is how to make a sausage pizza? The cheese steak supreme is an excellent sandwich considering it's only 7 dollars. I am a big dude and it filled me up. It is one of the better cheese steaks I have had in a while. The pizza kinda sucks but I am giving them 4 stars based on the friendly service and awesome cheese steak. read more
