Food is fairly good but they are not at all ECO friendly. Take out boxes are cardboard but lined with plastic inside so neither recyclable or compostable. Asked for a piece of aluminum foil to take my left over pizza home and waitress came back in a flash and said she couldn't find any so had put my pizza in a box. I don't think she even looked. Many other restaurants in town have compostable take-out containers and I have never had anyone fail to bring a piece of aluminum foil. In this day and age, no excuse for not having recyclable/compostable take-out containers. And no aluminum foil, REALLY They also had the outdoor fires going full blast on the empty patio. Raining steadily so not likely anyone was going out there. Wasteful and bad for the environment. Won't be returning. read more

We were amazed at how good this restaurant is located in the DoubleTree hotel. First try the burnt sugar Manhattan. Goes down easy and very delicious. Two nights in a row we shared the flank steak and magherita pizza...steak and pizza were great but the dipping sauce for the steak was outstanding. Everything about this place is special. First of all, it is right on the Clark Fork River. Very entertaining! Finn has an awesome outdoor deck as well. Ideal for warm days. We just had a great dinner at Finn. It was our last night of a weeklong Glacier/Missoula trip and this was definitely our best meal. We came during happy hour. We both enjoyed our cocktails as well as antipasti board and oysters. My husband had the ribeye. He's very particular how he likes his steak cooked and it was done just as he ordered. As we were walking in an older customer walked out and said "make sure you have the halibut." I originally had not intended to have the halibut but I said, "what the heck". I inquired from the very nice young waitress to tell me about the salmon on the menu. She assured me it was a wild caught salmon from Alaska. I asked her what kind of salmon from Alaska? She didn't know there were different kinds of salmon from Alaska, so I asked her to please go and find out from someone in the kitchen. She came back to tell me that it wasn't wild caught at all but in fact, it was an Atlantic salmon! I'm not very happy at being lied to. Then I ordered the flank steak and frites. The meat was cooked correctly, but it was too salty for my taste. I would rather it be not salty enough and I add my own. Very difficult to remove salt. Lastly, the bottle of wine I ordered was supposed to be a 2017. The bottle delivered to my table was a 2019 vintage. When I inquired about the discrepancy, there was no recognition from the waitress that this was a problem. She should have brought me the wine, noting the name of the wine, and the vintage, that should've matched what was on the menu. Are my standards too high? I don't think so. These are simple things that the wait staff should do when dealing with customers. First, be honest and knowledgeable about what's on the menu. If you don't know where the salmon is from, don't make something up. Find out. Next, the wine, as the most expensive thing that the customer will order, please get this right! Deliver what they ask. And make sure what you deliver matches what's on the menu. This is probably more of a problem of the manager than it is the waitress, but nonetheless, these things shouldn't happen. read more

First off I'm going to preface this review about integrity. The people that work here and the food are always great. It's my first stop when flying in to see my mom. I purchased a 100.00 gift card a couple years ago. This card, we were told never expires. When I purchased it for my mother, it was during Covid and for her birthday. She wasn't able to get there as it was in the winter. She did call and they told her they had the card and would be there when she came in. She lives a little over an hour away. She called again about 6 months ago and spoke to someone there and they told her it was there and stated it was for 100.00. Now just recently she wanted to go in as it's nice out she called to verify the gift card and the person she spoke to said they didn't see it and would have to get back to her. They didn't call her back so she called me. I called and spoke to a woman manager on a Friday and she said if I didn't hear from her that day that she would call me back on Monday to let me know what the office found. She also explained that there were many of these cards just sitting there that many people hadn't picked up over a long period of time. The fact that when my mother called the first time they saw it is my attention getter. I also called again and spoke to the manager he said he spoke to my mother and said he couldn't find any record of it. Pretty troubling to me. The bigger issue is if you're going to have gift cards for customers why not send them out, I mean it is a hotel and I'm sure they send and receive mail. If it's a time issue maybe charge an extra 5.00 to cover the cost of sending it out. I'm not sure who put this gift card program in place but it sounds like a mess. It's not a very good experience to a place that has great food, enough for me to get a gift card for sure. I hope they change this. My one star is for me donating 100.00 to a restaurant that was never used which is not honest and that's where the integrity part comes in. Sounds like a huge issue and then saying computers have changed etc is not an excuse, it's your word against mine. Arrived at 1040 for a breakfast meal service that stops at 1100am. I sat at my table until 1055, noticed others being waited on, so I mentioned this to the busboy.
