Stopped by for a bite on our way to do some razor clamming. There was a wait, but tables available in the lounge. We checked it out and it was good. I just got a Caesar salad with shrimp and it hit the spot. Not too much dressing and plenty of shrimp. I'd recommend it if you don't want something heavy. Wife had fish and chips. She liked them. I was told by my very critical family that anything less than 5 stars would not do. This in it self speaks volumes. This establishment is fantastic. Located in downtown Seaside, with both indoor and outdoor seating the restaurant hits all marks. Great seafood, great service and great ambiance. My Chipinno was delicious, my husband's seafood Alfredo was perfectly prepared and seasoned and my daughter's scallops were luscious. A note, the sweet potato fries were addictive. Excellent service! We were a little concerned at first because we arrived so late from our travel day....but our waitress made our visiting 5 stars. Great conversation and super attentive. Food was good as well. I had the steamers - they weren't the best I have ever had but still good. Needed a bit more flavor, but nice and fresh. Husband had fettuccine with steak. Definitely won't be returning. First, nobody waiting at the hostess desk, waited about 5 minutes before my wife poked her head around the corner so the 3 staff members standing nearby laughing and joking over a personal conversation, a few minutes later 1 of the 3 came over and seated us. Wife ordered a cocktail off of their "specialty drink" list. She couldn't find it on her little computer and said "I don't think anyone's ever ordered that before." She eventually figured it out and took the rest of our order. Our appetizer came out, calamari, it was decent, but not $17.00 decent. Drinks didn't come. Our main meal arrived, still no drinks. She put our plates down and asked if there was anything else we needed, guessing she'd forgotten about our drinks. I told her our drinks hadn't arrived and she could remove them from our order, no need to bring them at this point. She went over, apparently our drinks had been made and left for her to deliver, but she had forgotten. She still tried to bring them but already into our main course we stuck with just water. Oh, when she did finally bring the drink my wife ordered trying to get us to reconsider, the drink wasn't presented as shown on the picture, my wife pointed out it was supposed to include some sort of flowered garnish, it wasn't in the drink. After consuming my glass of water, it sat empty for about 10 minutes, I finally got it refilled myself at the bar. The food was maybe a 4 on scale of 1-10. Captains platter comes with 2 cod, 2 albacore, 2 salmon. I wasn't surprised when I only received 1 piece of salmon. Service was horrible, food was mediocre, prices were pretty high for what you get. Very disappointed. I get the feeling restaurants just don't care anymore, people will come regardless. We find ourselves eating at home more and more, losing faith in chances of great service and quality food. read more

The food was absolutely incredible. The clam chowder was the best I've ever had. The Cod burger was sublime. Ambiance is one of the nicer I've experienced. Pretty laid back. Clean. We've walked by many times, admiring the outdoor seating area with flames coming out of tabletops.  This was our first visit to Finns during the pandemic and they did not disappoint. It was Sunday morning and we were hungry. The outside dining area was packed, so we opted for inside.  We made our way the back of the restaurant,  down the hallway of lottery machines to the bar. What a different look. It was dark and just a few tables to sit at. There were a few couples there enjoying breakfast, socially distanced by tables. Our server was attentive and quick. We ordered the razor clams and seafood omlette. The omlette was PACKED with shrimp and crab. The razor clams were cooked in a light tempura like batter. Different breading preparation than Pig in Pancake, a few doors down. We opted for hashbrowns and tried the english muffin and toast. The food was delicious and we were stuffed.  Ordered a couple cocktails to tie the meal together.  Breakfast is served 7am-12 noon daily. We found a dine in place to eat breakfast! So tired of take out and Styrofoam or cardboard boxes from fast food. Finn's has put up a tent on their fireside patio and heaters to allow outside diners a cozy diner sanctuary. My Bacon & eggs over medium with crispy hash browns were perfectly prepared the way I like them & presented on a genuine ceramic plate with stainless utensils! The salted & spicy bloody Mary's had an entire garden of vegetable garnish along with a generous dose of vodka. Service was friendly and attentive. Clam chowder to me, was a C- at best. I had the Albacore Tuna and chips. Fish was decent. Decent sized pieces (3). Though add8ng malt vinegar and lemon helped a lot with flavor. Breading was not panko but maybe a beer type batter though kinda "solid". Service was pretty good but waitress must have been new, as she didn't know shish. My other person had the prime rib. Decent but lacked flavor. Their horseradish sauce was so mild you could drink it without burning your nostrils. Too mild. Not worth the heavy price tag. I give the whole dinner/service a C grade in total. We will try other places before coming back. Als0 adding to this review.. went back next day to try their breakfast again, and service was absolutely dog shit. They spent more time clearing tables then tak8ng care of new guests that sat. In the midst of Covid Finns Fish House was the best option my husband and I could find for a nice dinner date in Seaside. Most other restaurants around appear outdated or geared toward family gatherings. We chose to sit outside as the sun set, it was a chilly August night, but the string lights and tabletop firepits kept it cozy. Our waitress was friendly & knowledgeable and our food came out rather quickly. Food was above average on flavor, freshness, and quality. I was super hungry and polished my seafood pasta plate (which I added a side of veggies to it- highly recommend to create a well balanced meal.) I also enjoyed some local wines (although drink prices seemed like inflated tourist prices to me). AMAZING!! This place was such a good time. There are a lot of options to choose from when you are in Seaside, but, Finn's stands out. Huge outdoor patio space is a game changer and definitely drew us in. Menu had plenty to offer. Great seafood options including oysters, clams, shrimp, and calamari. Choosing from soups, salads, burgers, fish & chips, sandwiches, and house specialties was tough because everything looked so good. We went with the calamari, salmon, fish tacos and pacific cod burger. Such flavorful and unique dishes! To be honest, the outdoor patio is what made this place 5 stars. Awesome space, and they had a killer Playlist, we had such a great time. We never had Sisu Brewing before but are now very happy to have had the opportunity to try it. Delicious!!
