Being a primarily seafood restaurant, my mom was pleasantly surprised they were able to transform one of the pasta dishes to 100% vegetarian. If you do eat fish, their miso black cod was super soft and flavorful and I would totally recommend it. Ended the night with a small slice of cheesecake and it was perfect. Fin's Bistro is a spectacular and fantastic restaurant on the main drag in Issaquah, WA. My experience has been nothing short of amazing. Not to be gushy, but the owners are the best and have attention to detail, and the customer experience is five stars. The food quality and the portions' size are such a value it's hard to beat. You can't. If you want a nice date night, this place is cozy, warm, and fun to hang out in. The space size is perfect, not too small, not too big, and loud. It is an eclectic menu and design. Another cool thing is the specials; they fall in line with the seasons and primarily local ingredients and combinations that are great! I love the plating, and of course, wine choices and cocktails are off the chain. Lastly, the owners are all in. Walked in on a whim with my sister and must we say, this place is amazing!!! Our server must be running that place cause she knew her menu and gave great recommendations. She is a total boss babe. We ordered a fun cocktail -- pineapple coconut margarita. It was great, but took a minute to get used to the flavor. The only two items we got which fed us well were two appetizers -- lamb meatballs and crab stuffed prawns. They came in HOT fresh from the oven. The flavors are delightful and the baguette is so crunchy and yummy. We were amazed by the sauce the meatballs were in. Very very delicious! The server brought us more bread and we wiped down those bowls. Too full to order anything else. We definitely plan to come back to try their entrees and DESSERT. You can tell they take pride in their restaurant and care about their customers. We will definitely be back. As for the food...The black cod was cooked perfectly. I admit I was skeptical about the pairing with beet puree, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicate and a nice balance to the fish and kimchi fried rice. I was also able to try a bite of the King Salmon which was also cooked perfectly. Even though we were full, we went for dessert, the chocolate torte and the pineapple creme brule. I always gravitate towards chocolate desserts. The tort was delicious, but keep in mind it is quite rich. If you are full, it may be too much to handle. Lastly, the brule. Shockingly, I favored this dessert over the tort (likely because I was so full). It was delicate and smooth inside accompanied by pineapple pieces on top so it didnt over power the brule. We're so grateful that we found this little spot on the day of my daughter's 24th birthday. The crab cakes were great and our entrees were perfectly cooked. She had the Halibut and I had the Miso Cod. Both were cooked to PERFECTION! We ended the meal with the pineapple crème brûlée, which was amazing! Tonight we came just for dinner; productions don't presume until 2022. It was the best dinner we have ever had! The octopus appetizer was tender and delicious. My scallops were wonderful! We decided to come here for 11 year wedding anniversary. We originally had reservations for 5:00 but we're running late and called to see if we could switch to 6:30 and they accommodated us no problem. Our server was new to the restaurant and was such a pleasure to talk with. We started off with two old fashions to wet our whistle. They were one of the best we've had. Ate here last night, and it was excellent! Nicely decorated, warm, inviting restaurant. It filled up quickly. Our server was very friendly and engaging. We had the octopus appetizer. It was unbelievable. I've had octopus in the region of Spain where it's known for this seafood, and this was better. Would probably eat a whole meal of just this! You must try it if you eat here. We ordered the scallops and halibut and shared. (The chef delivered the plates hot from the kitchen) My scallops were cooked perfectly. Warm and moist, with just the right seasoning. The vegetables were cooked perfectly as well, with a wonderful beet purée. The halibut was moist, and warm, and seasoned very nicely also. (Can't comment on dessert because we had plans for that later.) I grew up in Alaska, lived in the SF Bay Area, including the wine country, and now the PNW. The meal we had was as good, if not better, than any meal I've had at any seafood restaurant in downtown Seattle or San Francisco. Will definitely be back. We came here for brunch on a late Sunday afternoon. First thing I've noticed was how excellent the service is as every staff member (including who I believe is the manager) are very attentive. Got the Clam Chowder (with Razor clam and bacon), Mimosa, and Fins Benny (Eggs Benedict with Black forest ham and Dungeness crab) My partner got the seafood bisque and huevos rancheroes. The soups were delicious! We were glad to get the cup size to not fill up on soup. Our entrees at first glance seemed small, however at the end, we were stuffed! On a personal note, I was happy that my eggs benedict was perfectly seasoned as most of the time I get an eggs benedict, it's usually salty (from the meat; whether it's ham, smoked salmon, etc.) The interior and exterior of the place is small and lovely. I went to Fins Bistro with my boyfriend to celebrate my birthday on a Saturday night. The ambience is nice, and once the sun starts to set they light an oil candle on your table. I also loved that there was free street parking right outside the entrance and a free parking lot! We ordered 4 appetizers total and I ended up having 2 of them for my dinner because the portions were small but filling. The crab cakes came with 2 rounds on top of an aioli and a side of mixed greens. I would've gotten the aioli on the side if I could re-order because I'm not a fan of mayo - I didn't realize the crab cakes would be right on top of it. We also got the stuffed prawns, which came in a delicious buttery garlic sauce and with two pieces of toasted bread, the Brussel sprouts with onion bacon jam, and the crab bisque. The oysters were some of the best I've had & my kids really liked the calamari & dip. The appetizers got me really excited about our entrees but they left a lot to be desired. I ordered the swordfish special & while the fish itself was cooked perfectly, it was bland & served with roasted root veggies & white rice. Really?? Great restaurant right on Front Street, the heart of Issaquah. We were waiting to watch a show next door at the Village Theater. We had 50 minutes before the start of the show and needed to kill some time before then. The staff here is amazing! Our waiter was excellent! He asked if Ruth made it out to help us but she never did so he introduced himself as Ruth. Gotta love his humor! He was of top of things. He knew we were going to watch a show next door and made sure our appetizers came out quickly. He also gave us our check after getting our food since we were pressed for time. That didn't stop him from checking up on us. My Sweetie had ordered coffee and our waiter filled it before it went empty. His recommendation for the Cabernet was an excellent choice. The coconut prawns with a thai peanut sauce was delicious. The clams in a curry sauce was flavorful. I can't speak for the ambiance of the place since we didn't sit in the dining area. It was packed at the time. It was a beautiful evening so we opted to sit outside. Other than a few loud cars whizzing by, we had a nice and relaxing time. I know two of the new owners of this restaurant. The chef has a pedigree history cooking for Canlis and the Space Needle restaurants. I've been wanting to eat at this restaurant and then Covid hit. Fortunately, the restaurant has continued by doing take out on Tuesday through Friday. It's a limited menu which can change due to suppliers. However, there are enough options to choose from and there's something for every palate. We ordered the ribeye, ahi salad and the buratta cheese appetizer. I could have made a meal from the buratta cheese/tomato/arugula appetizer. The chimichurri with the ribeye was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection. It was worth the drive from Olympia to Issaquah on a Friday evening. It was probably the best activity during COVID quarantine that we've done while still keeping our social distance. read more

We had reservations on Saturday, 3 Feb. to celebrate our friends birthday. The service was the worst we have ever had in the 45 years we have lived in the Seattle area. The waitress acted like we were a nuisance for her time, had a rude attitude and barely served the food and rushed off. She did not check for refills and we had to call her over if we needed anything else. While we were celebrating our friends birthday gifts, she told us we had to leave because they needed the table. The entire time we were there, we were respectful, quiet and good guests. We have been attending the theater for years and will NEVER eat at Finns again. Alright so this place came up on my suggestions for restaurants in issaquah. I thought it looked really good and they had a great rating. My grandmother made it there about 30 minutes before me. She texted me letting me know that the inside was only for people with reservations and so we would need to sit outside, but that they said she could stay inside until I arrived. When I got there, they didn't pay attention to us at all for at least 15 minutes. After we got our menus, they said they'd bring us their bread, well we never got it. About 15 minutes after that, we finally had the waitress come over and take our order, our food came out at a decent time, and when our food came out we finally got our bread, and it was good, but the "butter" that came with it was horrid and tasted like absolutely nothing. I got the Parmesan crusted chicken and my grandma got the Caesar salad with shrimp. So my dish presentation was wonderful, but my chicken was awful; super dry and texture felt like it had been microwaved, it had a decent outer crust (the Parmesan). However, it was also extremely thin. Then underneath were the noodles and vegetables which were the best part. I definitely don't think it was worth the $25 I paid for it. My grandma said her salad was good, however I personally think that the little teenie tiny shrimps they gave her weren't worth the cost, it probably tasted better than it would with full size shrimp but I just think it should've been less based off of the size. Overall, the fact the staff didn't pay very good attention to us and the horrid chicken, it wasn't that bad, and that's why I'm giving 3 stars. read more

Stopped here after hiking out East. Located in a cute little city right off the highway. Parking was a breezy and we found some right across the street. It's a cute little quaint place. We got the crab bisque and the chicken sandwich to share. Apparently it was a new brunch menu and didn't have the clam chowder we were looking for. This was disappointing as this was a big thing we were looking forward too. The service was a little slow and the meal was not cheap. But understood as a touristy spot. Also be warned the hours listed at the restaurant are not correct we were there around 3 pm on a Saturday and the hours posted out front were not correct.
