    Maui Ahi plate
    Enn Q.

The Ahi tuna plate was amazing. I asked for all the extras on the side, and it was plated so nicely. Janice was so very kind and helpful. The tuna was sesame crusted, had two dips, a Wasabi that took my breath away (in a good way) and a 2nd sauce. I mixed them and thought that was terrific. I wasn't a fan of the pineapple. It wasn't ripe enough and had no taste. I don't do soy, so I nixed the edamame. I do very little gluten, so I ate a few of the fried wonton strips. Not my favorite. Oh, and the was a little side of slice avocado. The entire meal was divine. I haven't been able to find ahi like this since I left W MI in 2019, so this was a real find. Janice was a gem. Shout out to her. All in all, we left feeling "finer than frog hair." I'll be back!

Fun Bar and Food in New Baltimore! We had 8 of us and they took reservations for us the day before. Seated immediately and offered drinks right away which is the service you want!! Small but good menu. The calimari app was nice and crispy. They add some crispy banana peppers in for a good taste. We had the perch..very good. But kinda expensive. $28.00. The Bleu Burger...which was excellent!!! The Wedge salad...very good! The shrimp scampi was very good but it could have used a little more shrimp with the amount of pasta you get. Drinks were healthy. Very nice atmosphere.

Food was pricey with marginal preparation and taste. Service was excellent. Decor was classy, bricky, woody, though the street level floor plan was odd and cramped. I felt like I was eating in a New York vestibule. A strange English-type lift/stairway has a footprint that eats up a huge portion of the first floor, hence the cramped dining. I had the Maui Ahi Tuna Salad (see pic). It was uninspired with chunks of mottled Iceberg lettuce. Who would plate this? C'mon dude, for $23 you can't mix in some romaine? Someone's smoking the Maui Wow-wee! Basically, apathetic. Won't hurry back.

    Brussel sprout appetizer $15.00

Food was really good, sat outside on the rooftop. Nice little place to eat. Service was very nice, our server was nice and not a bother.

Nice water view from upper deck

We got lucky finding this gem. Great water views, food and service. Ordered walleye fish plate and a French Dip sandwich. Both were very good.

This was my first time really exploring the downtown New Baltimore area, and there are so many cute and quaint restaurant spots downtown New Baltimore. Such a nice area, and right off of the water. One of my co-workers suggested to dine at Fin's. So a few of us decided to check it out after work. I enjoyed the food (I wish I had pictures), but the group ordered appetizers (Spinach and Artichoke Dip, Chicken Tenders, Chicken Quesadillas and Bang Bang Shrimp). The appetizers were really good. A few people in the group tried the Cream of Asparagus soup, and raved about it so much. So they really enjoyed the soup! We also ordered and shared a Michigan Salad, which was good as well! So overall a really good experience and good service! I would like to go back to try other menu options and actually take pictures next time around . I did take one picture of my he martini that I ordered, it was a Raspberry and Lemon Martini. Which was nice! And I was able to snag a fun picture of the Skeleton Barbie outside or the restaurant.

We came here after visiting a new spot across the street. This restaurant came highly recommend by the bartenders. It was pretty busy for a cold Thursday night! We sat at the bar and I decided to order another drink. We wanted some food and decided on the Finwhich. It was described as "large"... perfect, we will split it. Well we weren't expecting what came out! Holy smokes. It wasn't large, it was huge! Like we didn't know how to even eat it. It came with a spicy sauce that was too hot for my taste buds, but the breading on the chicken was amazing! Also... pickles!!! I love pickles so this also made me happy. I didn't really eat any of it other than a bite. But it was so big that half needed to be boxed up to go! Our bartender was super friendly. We discussed her career options and we were able to give her a bit of advice on which route to take. She told us there is a second floor dining area that is only open on weekends and a rooftop bar that's open in the summer. I love rooftop bars so I can't wait to check it out! This downtown area is only 15 mins from my house so I'm sure we will be frequenting it this summer! Cheers!

I was…read moreexpecting to walk in and get fried or baked lake fish, but to my surprise this place goes for a more tropical theme. Soon as you walk in, you feel like you were transported to a tropical island in the Caribbean. Most of the seafood items consist of lobster, shrimp and mahi. But they also offer burgers, various chicken dishes, and tropical drinks. I was not expecting to like the restaurant this much, but they are a hidden gem. The lobster roll I got came with pineapple coleslaw for $24, which is a pretty good deal for lobster roll. I also asked to have it with a side of chips, which was a good idea as it gave my meal more texture since the lobster rolls are very soft, but delicious nonetheless due to the fact they use Hawaiian rolls for the sandwich bread. I finished my meal with a slice of key lime pie, which was also excellent. The staff here are also very polite and do their best to make sure you are satisfied. 100% worth a visit even if you don't live close to them (no matter what time of year)

Unfortunately, when we arrived, the soft-serve margarita machine was down and we were told it would be another 30 minutes. We decided to order different drinks instead, but in hindsight we could have waited because our food didn't arrive for nearly an hour and a half. When we first got there, there was only one other table occupied, so the wait was really surprising. As time went on, more people started coming in and being seated, but it seemed like several tables weren't being greeted for quite a while. We even watched one table get up and leave before anyone came over to them. There also seemed to be a lot of confusion at the entrance because the host stand is awkwardly placed. Multiple people looked unsure whether they were supposed to seat themselves or wait to be seated, and the layout just isn't very inviting or intuitive for guests or even the staff. We ordered the lobster roll with a side of mac and cheese and a chicken bowl. The lobster roll was incredibly disappointing--dry, lacking flavor, and honestly just unpleasant. The mac and cheese and chicken bowl were okay, but nothing memorable enough to justify the wait or the price. Speaking of the price, this meal was expensive, which made the experience even more disappointing. I left feeling like I had wasted my money. I had really been looking forward to trying this restaurant, but between the unavailable signature drink, the extremely long wait, the confusing atmosphere, and the underwhelming food, it was a frustrating experience from start to finish. I genuinely regret spending the money here and, unfortunately, don't see myself coming back.

Upon arrival, the two hostesses spent a few minutes trying to figure out where to seat us, even though we had reservations. The restaurant was less than half full but we were seated at the worst table in the house. We actually faced the wall with our backs to the rest of the restaurant! We accepted that and went on to order. The bread and oil was delicious, the drinks were good, the crab stuffed mushrooms were ok, but the most disappointing thing was my husband's filet. We both ordered filet cooked medium. As soon as our plates were sat down, I noticed my husband's was the butt end of the tenderloin. I didn't even have time to say anything before the waitress asked us to cut into our steaks and see if they were cooked the way we wanted them. Mine was perfect. My husband's looked like it was well-done but he didn't say anything. When the waitress left, he began to try to cut the filet. It was so tough he ended up eating half of mine and leaving his on his plate untouched after the first bite. When we were done eating the waitress came to pick up our plates. She didn't mention the whole filet sitting on the plate, even though all plates were completely empty except that. When she brought the bill, I mentioned to her that his steak was so tough he couldn't eat it. She defended herself stating that she had "asked" him if it was cooked the way he wanted. Mind you he had not taken a bite when she had asked. She did not offer to credit the bill in any way but said had she known, she would have asked the cook to make another one. We were already facing the wall, we just wanted to have a nice, celebratory meal. This explains why the restaurant was half empty on a Saturday night at prime time. We don't mind spending over $200 when the food and service are good, but not for that. We will never go back.

A good number of items, very good prices, senior menu options as well as children's menu options. On this visit both of us opted for the 2 egg breakfast that's served with corned beef hash and toast of our choice. We both went with the raisin toast. It was good overall. Nothing Wowed me really. Wait, let me back up. Service here was very good. Sweet, fun servers, prompt answering questions, bringing drink refills, sample of the soup -yep, she did that. We ordered breakfast, the same thing for that matter. Our entrees arrived shortly after we ordered and they looked good. I was a it saddened to see my corned beef hash a wee bit browner that I would prefer but that's my fault for not specifying how I like it cooked. One thing I especially like is the raisin bread toast option. This seems to be a thing in Michigan, and I LOVE IT! We paid cash and asked for change for a large bill and server was able to accommodate that request easily. So overall we had a good experience here. I will say this is a small diner and the parking lot is similar. Customers appear to be regulars, or else the staff just treats everyone like they know them. They certainly do a good job of welcoming their customers.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. It's cute inside. We started with the mozzarella fritta, which was absolutely delicious! The marinara sauce accompanying it was bursting with flavor. However, the dinner salad was a bit underwhelming. It only had simple toppings like tomato, red onion, and cucumbers. I opted for the house dressing, which was supposed to be a blend of oil, vinegar, and Italian spices. To my dismay, despite vigorous shaking, all the seasonings remained mostly at the bottom of the plastic cup, with little to no vinegar. It was okay, but not particularly impressive. For the main course, I ordered the baked Italian combo. The lasagna was good, though a bit overcooked and with some crunchy bits. The chicken parmigiana was also tasty. However, the meat ravioli that came with it was a major disappointment. It tasted like a plain noodle with a large amount of unflavored meat. To sweeten the deal, we had crème brûlée for dessert. It was enjoyable, but a bit peculiar. Half of it was piping hot, while the other half was ice cold. Despite the oddity, the flavor was still great. Overall, the food was okay, and I might return to this place in the future.

Since Asian food is my first choice for dining out and takeaway, I was enthusiastic about giving it a try. Sadly, I have been unable to experience Yoshi for two reasons: 1. The first time I called was Friday, April 21st. On that day, they did not answer. I waited until 4:30 when they were listed as being open, and called repeatedly for approximately 20 minutes; no answer. I gave up, and went to Kimchi Box. 2. I called again today. They picked up, and I said I wanted to place an order for pickup. The first thing the woman who answered the phone said was, "I have to tell you that we don't have any rice prepared at the moment. It will be a 45 minute wait." I thanked her for the information, and bid her and Yoshi goodbye. Suffice to say, I will not make another attempt to order from Yoshi... at least from the Chesterfield Yoshi location. They obviously do not care enough about maintaining their business to pick up the phone in a timely manner, or prepare their STAPLE INGREDIENT ahead of time so they can fill orders. When you call a hibachi place to place an order, and they tell you they don't have rice prepared, that's a huge red flag. It's like going to a Dairy Queen and being told they do not have ice cream. I would love nothing more than to write a rave review about Yoshi if given the opportunity. Sadly, it wasn't meant to be. Perhaps Yoshi Chesterfield is following the "We'll Do It When We Feel Like It" business model. In my opinion, there's no excuse for not being prepared to fill orders. I placed my call at approximately 5:30 today, an hour after they opened. A well-run, professional establishment should have everything they need to prepare all of the dishes on their menu, and they should be able to do that until they take their last order of the day. Whoever owns/manages this location needs to get it together. Be open when you're supposed to be open, and be prepared to make all of the dishes on your menu for the duration of your business hours each day. Fiesta Del Failure Yoshi!
