I was in Lexington Center with 2 guests who got hungry. I was interested in trying Fiorella's Trattoria for the first time, and am glad we ate there. My $11 eggplant parmesan sandwich was very good, and my guests were happy with their meals as well. Service was quick, the atmosphere casual and comfortable, and a great place for a quick bite or dinner. I wasn't crazy about the self-service soft drink cans in the refrigerator near the door, and might bring a diet coke next time. I will eat there more often, and I definitely recommend trying this restaurant. But if you want someplace fancier and costlier, try a Fiorella's Cucina, which also has good food. read more

In recent months I have stopped at Fiorella's Trattoria in Lexington Center a few times. I have ordered a pizza, dinner entrees and sandwiches on different days and time of the day. A plain cheese pizza was nothing special so I would not put Fiorell's on your list for the best Pizza in town award, but it isn't one to be avoided at all costs either. I requested mine cooked a little more on the crispy side, but it was not. Sauce was OK and there was plenty of cheese. For entrees, my favorite was the lemon chicken with small medallions of chicken braised and served over linguine. The chicken Parmesan is also a hearty dish. Sandwiches tried and approved in Lee the chicken parm, meatball parm, and the California wrap. All received positive reviews. Service was pickup either by the door on shelves or behind the counter. Ordering on the app you would think the location would be the same, but I guess it's dealer's choice. read more

Their Gnnochi fra diavlo is great (packs a lot of heat) as is their eggplant pasta dish. One star less for their weak vegetable + chicken soup and the tiny toasted bread slice. The flavor of this Dish was superb and the sauce was amazing with rich ingredients as the tortellini was well seasoned and boiled to where each bite was like a cloud getting consumed and yet the only flaw was the added oils in the sauce and less of the actual sauce itself but overall the dish was edible and delicious. read more

I took my two young grands here for dinner. One ordered the child's linguine and meatball ($12), the other built her own (the same thing) for $19. The size difference was negligible. The "big" dinner included a slice of bread. I ordered an eggplant/mozzarella sandwich that was spicier than I expected. And it was cold. Even the bread was cold, which was totally unappetizing. But the worst part were the large (1/4") slices of raw zucchini. Once you bite into that nothing else matters. And the taste will linger forever. 3 meals plus 3 bottles pure leaf teas = $51. read more

We actually stumbled in here after trying to go to another restaurant with a long wait. We were so glad as this place was an order at the counter and was perfect for us and the kids. We have to get our own waters and seats but we appreciate the casualness of the place. The food came out relatively quick and the dished were flavorful and fresh. The pizza was thin and crispy. The kids enjoyed customizing either a pasta or pizza. The marinara sauce was fresh tasting. We've now gone twice and so far the options we've gotten have been great. read more

Very disappointing. We tried to order for delivery, but even though we're in Lexington a straight 5 minute drive (1.8 miles) away, the website said our address is not in the delivery area. Since when do pizza places not deliver 5 minutes away? But fine, the pizza looked pretty good on the site, so we decided to place a pickup order. We picked the pizza up right when it was ready and were home within 5 minutes (because we're close by, remember?) -- just to find out wasn't hot. It wasn't even lukewarm. Only slightly above room temperature, and kind of soggy. I'm not exaggerating. I didn't even understand how this is possible at first, but after thinking about it, I have a sneaking suspicion they didn't bake the pizza fresh, but rather stuck a premade one into the oven, and didn't leave it there long enough. Unfortunately we've just bought our house and haven't moved anything in yet, so we didn't even have a way to warm it up! Other than the temperature, the pizza didn't taste terrible, but it certainly wasn't a gourmet special either. It was also pretty small for a $18 "large pizza." If we hadn't also ordered a salad (not too bad, but too sweet, and expensive for what we got) and "garlic sticks" (not very garlicky at all) the three of us would have gone hungry. As it is, we're full, but annoyed. All in all, I'm not impressed. I'll look elsewhere next time we get pizza here in Lexington. read more

The avocado in our wraps and salads was so un-ripe that when I first bit into my California Wrap I thought it was a carrot. Third visit to Fiorella's in Lexington. Creature of habit, ordered same item three times. A delicious salad with greens, goat cheese, candied pecans and cranberries. Menu is posted on the wall and counter. After paying, you're given a tented number. Pick up your utensils and water out of a hugh vessel. Food gets delivered to your table. Comfortable seating. It appears that there is bar. Pleasant area, we'll literally by a hugh window. All 3 times, friends Ive gone with were pleased with their choices. Reasonably priced. read more

I believe this may be the first time in my life that I did not enjoy an Italian meal. I visited your Lexington branch last night and unfortunately had what I can only describe as the worst Italian food I've ever been served. I ordered the Chicken Napolitano, and the dish was a complete disappointment. The chicken came in three tiny pieces--each about the size of a McNugget. The spinach was barely visible, and I couldn't really taste the chicken, spinach, or pasta because the entire dish was drowned in an overwhelmingly unpleasant sauce. I even tried scraping it off, but there was so much of it that it ruined the entire meal and left an aftertaste that lingered into the next day. I'm honestly surprised and disappointed, especially given how much I usually enjoy Italian cuisine. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and helps improve the quality at this location. read more

Dined there on Friday night and on Monday had more than $1000 of charges I did not make on my Mastercard. I paid at the bar and it was the only place I surrendered my card prior to the fraudulent charges. We had such a pleasant experience with this establishment! We placed an order online and it was ready in 9 minutes! There is a shelf with orders in brown bags neatly lined up and ready to be picked up. Very efficient! When I walked in, there was a staff member putting some bags up and she was very pleasant and all smiles. The restaurant looked super cute from my quick glances around. Nice seating areas and very clean. Looks like they do a lot of take out since a large part of the inside was devoted to pick up. Our party ordered the Caesar wrap, California wrap and Shrimp Scampi. I loved how easy the online ordering process was...you could customize your order by having them remove or add any ingredients. I ordered the California wrap without the dressing and with cheese and it was made perfectly. So much chicken! I had half for lunch and the other half for dinner! I stopped in at the Fiorella's Express, which is a casual Italian eatery offering takeout, dine-in, and delivery (DoorDash). The place is order at the counter with digital menu board or you can order online too. If dining in, you're given a number stand which you place at your table and staff will bring out your food. Fiorella's opened this location recently in a former realty office. They have several locations west of Boston and I've picked up takeout from the Wellesley location several times for thin crust brick oven pizzas and pasta dishes. On my recent visit to Fiorella's in Lexington, I ordered takeout and got a Small 10" Sausage & Ricotta Pizza ($12 plus tax) and an Eggplant Parm Dinner ($14 plus tax). My food was hot, ready and packaged to go in about 12 minutes. I enjoyed my food outside since it was an unseasonably warm day. The thin crust pizza was topped with ground sausage, ricotta, cherry peppers, red sauce, and mozzarella on a thin soft crust, firm along the edges. The Eggplant Parmigiana entree served in a plastic contrainer had breaded eggplant cutlets topped with a zesty thick marinara sauce & mozzarella cheese over soft linguini, served with a buttered garlic bread slice. The food I ordered was pretty good and they also stuck a mystery envelope in the bag with a surprise for the next visit, which is not to be opened until then. read more

This is a neighborhood gem. The food is absolutely amazing and the price is very affordable. You can come for a casual dinner or grab a drink with a friend. We ordered different pastas and everyone loved their pick. I will definitely order my chicken napolitana again. Was in Lexington for a client meeting and we chose this spot for a "lunch meeting". This joint is located in the hustle and bustle of downtown and parking can be found on the street. The joint itself is not massive but offers a casual/low key environment for you to grab some food and dine in or take out as desired. The service here was super friendly and you go up to the counter and place your order. They offer a variety of wraps, pastas, soups, salads, sandos, and pizzas. The party I was here with ordered the gnocchi, the Bolognese, and the chicken parmigiana. Apparently we all wanted to go into food coma for lunch this day :) . All of the food was delicious. Ordered takeout. They said it would be ready by 6:50. Instead wasn't ready until 7:30. Was waiting in the restaurant. Then when we got home, our custom pasta was missing meat and cheese. Clean and open interior with a sizable menu and the ability to create your own dishes if required. Quick note: no fountain drinks; a bit of a pet peeve, but we enjoyed the bottled Italian diet cola. Service is super pleasant and friendly, and you definitely feel like you are at the home of an Italian-American friend. Salad was large and full of field greens, onions, small tomatoes and cucumbers. Dressing on the side was an Italian herb, and pretty darn tasty. Breadsticks were more like thin slices of cheese bread with garlic and herbs; kind of soft and thin so not sure exactly how to eat them. Ended up folding them in half and dipping them in the tomato sauce it came with. The garlic bread that came with the pasta dishes was actually better - old school garlic bread like you remember. Eggplant Parmesan was decent, medallions of baked eggplant over (slightly overcooked) pasta. Bolognese pasta was another "decent" dish, although the pasta was again overcooked (not al dente) and the sauce not as rich (or even as much) as typical for better establishments. Still, we ate it, and it was better than acceptable. A fine place for lunch, but perhaps they are not at the top of their game anymore. You could tell that the pasta was not cooked to order, and I did see a guy in the kitchen making a huge batch of spaghetti, that they obviously re-boil or reheat when ordered. My wife and my three kids, and I went here while out on the town and were absolutely amazed! They had an option for everybody in the family (Even for my son, who is the pickiest eater that you will ever meet!) when we ordered, the staff were some of the friendliest we have ever met, and the food arrived in less than 10 minutes. You were able to pick where you wanted to be seated. And the bathroom is super clean. The food was absolutely delicious. I would 100% recommend it to any family. read more

First off, this place appears very clean inside and there is a bar to boot! However, I ordered the eggplant sandwich with balsamic vinegar and when it arrived, it was mostly bread that had not been grilled and there was only one slice of crispy eggplant amongst other ingredients. Now this sandwich could have been so much better with less bread and another slice of eggplant. Let's be real, how much extra would it cost to add another slice of eggplant?? I have never had an eggplant sandwich with just one thinly sliced piece of eggplant. I mean I grew up on eggplant sandwiches that my mom made for me so I think I know eggplant. Lastly, all their food products are locally sourced and the chicken is farmed raised. So come on guys, just do a little more tweaking to your eggplant sandwiches and I'll be back. Our family visited Fiorella's for the first time a few days ago. While I was initially a little surprised by the order-at-the-counter setup, I was pleasantly impressed by our server, Bianca, also has kids and was very kind about mopping up the full glass of water that my 1 year old immediately spilled all over the floor. My wife got the Chicken parm pasta - great taste and seasoning! I got the half white/half red sauce chicken dish and that was tasty as well. Definitely going to return and try their pizza next PS there is a beer and wine bar too, where folks can sit if they prefer that to a table. read more

We were excited to see a new Italian place open up in Lexington, as we have very little variety and choice here. The food is decent enough, though expensive for what it is (that I've ordered anyway). But the reason for this low review is the takeout service. The final straw was last week when one of our meals should have included meatballs (for which of course we were charged extra). My wife saw there was no meat to be found and called Fiorella's. Apparently, you only get one meatball - I assume a big one for $3.00 - but she didn't even get that. It was late evening on Friday and Fiorella's was our treat for dinner. Since we didn't get the meatball, Fiorella's rightfully offered to refund its cost. It's been nearly a week, and not surprisingly, we have not seen a refund pending. Before this, we have ordered pizza with extra pepperoni, and it has certainly not come with it - or if it did, that means you get one slice of pepperoni per slice of pizza if you just get the regular amount. Fiorella's offered to remake it, but as this was again dinner time, after work, and would involve standing around, we just decided to cut our losses (no refund was offered - but it doesn't matter because they don't give it to you anyway it seems). On an occasion before that, our takeout pizza order seemed to have been stolen at the takeout section they leave by the door for anyone to hop in and out of, sight unseen. Not a particularly big risk in Lexington, but since they knew it has happened before, you'd think they'd have changed protocol. They offered to let us wait around again after a busy work day to make a new one, which of course we waited for because that was our dinner. But at least this time we got what we paid for - despite how expensive the pizza is. So after too many wrong orders, a stolen pizza, and literally giving them money for things we didn't get and no refund actually given, that's the last time we'll go to Fiorella's. If they had extended any courtesies to us, that would have mattered. But not even processing refunds for things we didn't receive isn't acceptable (and not worth the time and aggravation to keep calling). And, who wants to worry about there being an order mistake every time they get take out? We certainly don't. Particularly after leaving a tip on a takeout order that wasn't even made correctly. If you're going to eat at Fiorella's, do yourself a favor and dine in instead of take out. At least you have a better chance of getting what you (over)paid for. read more

We ordered take out and after we left we realized they forgot part of our order. We called to let them know we were returning to pick up the missed item and they acted rudely, as if it was our fault they took our order incorrectly. If you call for takeout be sure they read your order back over the phone to be sure it was taken correctly. We were also disappointed with the portion sizes for the price. The food was decent but between the price and attitude of staff we probably will choose to get takeout elsewhere. read more
