Fire At Will is a very nice small restaurant with a lot of character. The food was really good. We ordered the muscles. Amazing. my husband ordered the Bolognese a little too al dente but the sauce very nice. The waitress was amazing. Food was excellent, as expected, but wanted to specifically recognize the staff who knocked themselves out making us comfortable. We showed up with out a reservation with a toddler and infant (we're the worst, I know) and they stood on their heads to get us situated and enjoying our experience- even offering us a better table when it came available. The atmosphere was a delight. Dark, greenery, candles, and very hip. The service was spot on! The food looked spectacular and the Brussel sprouts certainly were but the rest was mediocre in comparison to other similar level restaurants. Service was great and ambiance was fine; the food was uninspired. The chicken sandwich had to be sent back as it was so overdone it looked like a burnt burger. The chicken marsala was especially subpar- an insult and embarrassment to the recipe. The chicken breast swimming in a watery, brown liquid on which sat a potato puree that soon broke down into a tasteless soup; mushrooms were virtually non-existent. For the price, you could have bought six Costco rotisserie chickens and really enjoy a savory meal. read more

My husband and I visited 1/21/24. We got sat at the bar immediately. Service was the perfect combination of attentiveness and giving us our time to enjoy and visit. I got the ham croquettes (pictured). My husband got the burger and fries. The food was phenomenal. The sauces were top notch. The aioli was my favorite. We ate there on Friday night 1/5/2024. Absolutely phenomenal. Yes it is a little pricey, but you absolutely get your moneys worth! We had the bacon wrapped dates and French onion dip. Very good..the chips are nice and thick to accommodate the heavy dip. Scallops were cooked to perfection and I can't even with the risotto. Absolutely worth every penny. Came here for my sister's bday today. I will start with the good and end with the bad. Our waitress was Jessica. She was the BEST! Nothing but exceptional service from her. Extremely attentive and on top of everything. We ordered a lot of food, but the best appetizer we had were the oysters. We are big oyster people and these were the BEST ones ever. The soba noodles, sword fish, and burger were delicious! I would order one of those three if we come back. My chicken wasn't as good so I just ate whatever everyone else left over from their food. My dad ended up eating my chicken so at least he liked it. My step dad's fish was cold, but I do understand that he can be a jerk when he says things, but they corrected it right away and brought him a warm replacement. My mom's sword fish was cold as well, but she was embarrassed already from my step dad saying something that she kept it to herself. I ended up eating her sword fish and ate it all. The flavor was good, which is all I care about. Towards the end around 8:20ish, I started to feel someone staring at us. I looked up and saw the manager, Kayla, staring at us. She was serious. I honestly have no idea why when we were the only table there and they close at 9 so we still had time. I looked up a few more times because of the feeling of her staring and she was still looking at us. It made me uncomfortable and I mentioned it to my mom and she said she had noticed it too. My sister still had a few sips left of her wine and I started to rush her because I felt like we needed to get out. I'm still leaving 5 stars because our waitress was amazing and 99% of the food was delicious. I highly recommend this place! read more

I was really excited to come here but unfortunately the food was a huge let down. I got the croquettes, I don't know how to describe the taste but it tasted really weird. Bacon wrapped dates, I like goat cheese but a different cheese would have been better in these. The clams, were extremely salty were weren't able to finish it. French onion dip, this was just mediocre. All the dishes had clashing flavors which made them taste off. I wish this place could have been a hit, good service and nice ambiance, but from the impressions from 4 appetizers, I wouldn't want to come back and try anything else :/ read more

The food here was delicious...everything was seasoned perfectly, had great flavor, and wasn't too salty. We ordered the bacon wrapped dates, Brussels sprouts, salmon, and scallops. Nothing disappointed. Service was excellent as well although we waited about 20 mins after our reservation time to be seated. The only downside to the restaurant is that it's very loud. We were surprised to get a spot on a Friday night without a reservation but luck was with us that night, partly because it was still fairly early. We ended up sitting at the bar where the service was excellent. I had the chicken with some of the best grits I have ever had. If I could order just a bowl of the cheesy grits I would. My husband had the burger and said it was excellent. We also ordered the fries which were fantastic. The place is loud....very loud. If you are looking for a quiet place to talk this is not it, but if you don't mind the noise, the food is great. Just be sure to make a reservation. read more

My wife and I ate here during our January 2025 visit to Phoenix. We sat inside in a corner away from the bar and TVs so it wasn't noisy. We split a caesar salad which was very good. She had the branzino which she really liked. I had the beef bolognaise. The was lacking in flavor. It also came out lukewarm, but the waitress took it back and reserved the meal very nicely hot. It still was bland and did not have alot of meat. I would not order that again. Overall we enjoyed it. read more

Second time here and already excited to come back. The cocktails were spot on, but can we talk about the French onion dip!? It's topped off with caviar!!! I've been going to Hush Public House since they opened, and I've gotten very familiar with how Dom runs a restaurant. When I heard he was opening a new restaurant I had to come check it out. It has a similar feel but it's definitely its own thing, the atmosphere seems a little more casual. The menu is slightly different but has some familiar menu items like the hush burger, which I tried. It's just a really well made burger, simple but perfectly cooked. The fries are awesome too, I love the different aiolis they serve with it. If you're craving a burger, this is absolutely where you should get one. read more

My girlfriend and I frequent Fire at Will so naturally we had to make it our first stop during restaurant week. Fire at Will consistently delivers on ambiance (not just restaurant but the customers next to us are always very kind), service on the dining floor and at the bar delivers on expectations, and the food keeps us coming back. My girlfriend raves about the scallops as they almost melt in your mouth and the risotto is full of flavor but nothing overpowering. The dates are my favorite appetizer hands down but we always get the croquettes as well. From cocktails to desserts there really isn't an area on the menu you can go wrong. Came by to celebrate my birthday last night and had a lovely dinner. We started with cocktails, Clams Casino and the Croquettes and they were both incredible. The one downside to our meal is that we waited about 20 min for our cocktails to arrive. We were halfway through our apps before we got our drinks. We ordered aglio e olio and it was delicious. The burger really does live up to the hype. If you come here someone in your party has to get the burger. If I came back that's what I would get. Hands down one of the best places I've eaten. Drinks are great too! Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. Always the pretentious "movie critic" type people out there who think they are Michelin inspectors haha. It is a must go to spot!
