My wife and I ate here during our January 2025 visit to Phoenix. We sat inside in a corner away from the bar and TVs so it wasn't noisy. We split a caesar salad which was very good. She had the branzino which she really liked. I had the beef bolognaise. The was lacking in flavor. It also came out lukewarm, but the waitress took it back and reserved the meal very nicely hot. It still was bland and did not have alot of meat. I would not order that again. Overall we enjoyed it. read more

The burger really does live up to the hype. If you come here someone in your party has to get the burger. If I came back that's what I would get. Service was good especially for a new restaurant however we did have a reservation. The Mac n cheese was great. My wife's pasta dish was also fantastic. read more

Hands down one of the best places I've eaten. Drinks are great too! Don't pay attention to the negative reviews. Always the pretentious "movie critic" type people out there who think they are Michelin inspectors haha. It is a must go to spot! Nice little place with good food. Came in with family who were in town for the holidays. Our drinks were very good, the appetizers - Bacon Date Wraps and Scotch Egg were fantastic. Our entres were all very good, however we had to wait a bit as we realized after eating our appetizers that our server hadn't taken our order yet and needed to remind her. The reason I am not giving 5 stars! It wasn't all that busy, but I think we waited a bit too long for our entres. WAY too dim in there, all four of us had to pull out our phone lights to be able to read the menus. read more

Made a reservation for 2 through the website on a Friday, knowing it would probably be busy and the space isn't huge. It ended up being the right move - all the reso times from 6-8 were booked and when we arrived it was standing room only in the entryway. We intentionally got there about an hour early to have a drink at the bar and lucked into a couple chairs after a few minutes. We were able to order drinks while we waited for the bar seats and the bartenders were sweet, polite, and attentive. We were giben the option to be seated prior to our reservation, which was very nice. Once seated, our experience continued to impress. Our waitress, Jordan, was helpful, knowledgeable, and had a passion for the food. She helped with suggestions and answered any questions we had. In addition to the 2 appetizers pictured, we also had the bacon-wrapped dates - maybe our favorite item of the night. We weren't terribly hungry after cocktails and a couple of apps so we didn't dive into any entrees; but we can't wait to go back and try everything else! Everything on the menu looks delicious, and we wished we'd had more of an appetite that night! The cocktails, we had 5 total (Mr. Brownstone, Snake Juice, Sloe & Steady, Lady of the Night, and Beach Bum) but didn't get any photos. They were all delicious and well-balanced. Sorry to say that fire at will missed its target. The portions were too small for the price they charge. I had the burger which reminded me of a five guys type burger ($18 no sides included). The bolognese is like a half order portion size ($28). The enchilada is about a 3 inch by 3 inch size serving ($28). The Tiramisu and cherry cobbler were decent size. The service was good so added one star. Will not be coming back. read more

Oh mi gawd!! I seriously would only expect this quality of food in a place like LA or New York. We really loved it! Fire at Will has only been open for three weeks and there was a line out the door, and every table was filled. That should tell you everything you need to know. The location is kind of funky. It's difficult to find. They are located on the north east corner of Tatum and Shea, closer to the Tatum side. The service was fantastic and I think this restaurant is definitely going to be a regular go to for us. read more

I found the restaurant from an Eater list of best new Phoenix restaurants. I'm not sure if it was on there because on the drinks, but the food was all around disappointing. The appetizers (Brussels sprouts and dates) were the best thing we had. Neither of the entrees were bad, but it neither were particularly good either. I expected more than just acceptable. Hi Dom, nice to meet you. Didn't see you at your restaurant. Yes, $70 for 4 drinks (2 each) while waiting for your table which didn't exist. Came in at 5:00 and asked for a table for 2. We decided to wait at the bar for a drink. Both bar tenders asked us for dinner and we emphasized that we are waiting for a table. The first kind lady bar tender assured us that we are in the list and it should only be a few more minutes.?!?! Way to mislead us. The lady drink was an over priced mimosa. It's listed as a cocktail but served as a mimosa in a champagne flute. The onion dip sucks. Chunky onion in half mixed cream cheese.Lipton taste way better. The hostess continued to ask about eating outside (in 90 degree weather) after I told her I would not eat outside. For the 2nd time. The continued asking is very belittling considering this is an overpriced joint in a strip mall. It's 7:45 and they still can't make a table for us. It would have been beneficial to tell us that there wouldn't be a table for an hour plus. After wasting an hour and a half of our time, we went next door and had the best sandwiches and drinks. Their bar tender mentioned your staff come there after their shifts. I think that speaks volumes. Hostess sucks. Manager sucks. They all suck. Save yourself. read more

Visited a few times, and all the food sampled was very good, the problem I see happening is the same thing that happened with Hush: they want to do vegetable/carb centered dishes with a touch of meat. I get it, saves costs, but it keeps carnivores like us away. They already removed the big honking bologna from the menu, and I'm just waiting for the lamb tartare to be gone. I hope they do creative(not mainstream) meat focused dishes, because if they take the lamb tartare away there won't be much interest left for me to go back. Of If I could give six stars I would. We chose this restaurant based on the location and we're beyond pleasantly surprised. The appetizers, croquet with Iberico ham and bacon wrapped dates are amazing. The flavors on both dishes obviously had a lot of thought behind them, thank you chef! The piece de resistance is the grilled ribeye with loaded baked potato. The steak was cooked to perfection and the potato skin was crisp while the inside and the effects were soft. I. Saw this restaurant as part of restaurant week and the burger photo looked delicious. So I made reservations for 4 for 6:30 Saturday night , about 2 weeks in advance . I received a text to confirm my reservations and I confirmed. So my son arrived before us and said yes we had a reservation for 4 and they told him they only have one 4 top available and it was outside. Well they seem to have a bird problem because they were flying over our heads and on the sign . I would not have chose to sit outside. In fact everyone out there was concerned of the birds over head. And to top it off they knocked down some metal spikey thing that fell right near our table , I think to deter birds ! So we all ordered the burgers . It was my sons birthday and he ordered the restaurant week menu 3 items for 44.00. He got an appetizer salad with bacon and blue cheese, hush burger and a sundae. I never got to see the inside of restaurant, so I can't comment on that. Our server was nice but I had to ask for a refill and my husband was waiting on another drink too . The burgers were huge and very good . I could only eat half . It's 2 Pattie's smashed together for 18.00 . That's all it was, so we ordered a fry too. The server said it was pretty big for 8.00. Well we could have had another , but that's ok. So I'm not sure if I'd return just for the fact that we had a reservation but were told we have to sit outside or wait for a table . Not sure why this place has such a high rating on Yelp. So disappointing! Each of our dishes was served lukewarm -at best. Even the appetizers were disappointing, and it's hard to mess up appetizers. The bacon wrapped dates had flavors that just didn't pair. The baked Brussels spouts arrived cold. My Cajun shrimp scampi had more sausage than shrimp and should have been listed as a cajun sausage scampi. My husband's Bolognese was also served lukewarm and the pasta was not fully cooked. (not "Al dente" - we know the difference). If you are a "foodie" this place will disappoint. As for the service, they need to set it up. Our appetizer plates were not removed before dinner was served. When dinner arrived, the waiter looked to me to clear my plate and the asked if I wanted to "grab" my fork! Honestly? You couldn't clear my plate and offer clean flatware? Such bad manners and service! Crtainly not worth the ratings received. It's clear why Fire at Will is not on Open Table, it doesn't qualify The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is the ambiance is appealing and hip. It's been awhile since I've been wowed by a restaurant I've never tried before. To make things better, it's not too far from where I live! I loved Fire At Will so much that I came back about a week later to bring my boyfriend and also planning to have dinner there tomorrow. I loved it so much that it made me realize that New American is definitely my favorite cuisine. My favorite dish is the crispy brussels sprouts. Even my boyfriend, who isn't a fan of brussels sprouts was hooked. Served with pear and peanuts, this dish is addicting. The frite street fries were perfectly fried - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. You might think, well why even mention the fries?! Because a lot of restaurants don't do it perfectly. The aioli it came with was equally addicting. You can't go wrong with the macaroni au gratin. I thought the croquettes were okay - nothing to write home about. The famous hush burger is a must try. It does not come with fries so you must order this separately. Other dishes that are worth mentioning are the beef bolognese and the lobster roll. The lobster roll however is pretty small and definitely not filling. For dessert, we ordered the tiramisu; delicious! For drinks, I would recommend lady of the night. Had high hopes for this restaurant as it's in our neighborhood & the food on Instagram looked good. But unfortunately it was so unbelievably loud inside you could not hold a conversation without yelling. Very much not conducive for a date night. As for the food, it was ok. The burger was fine nothing to rave about & my husband had the salmon which he thought was fine too. I will say the service was great from the hostess to our server but it's really hard to get over how loud this place was. Almost felt like being at a nightclub when it's vibe is more neighborhood cafe. Hopefully they can do something to remedy it & we'd try again. read more

Well, we had high hopes for our dinner here for Valentine's Day but that didn't come true. Sat down ordered a couple of drinks. Waitress came back and asked if we'd like an appetizer. We ordered the smoked fish dip (which is not on their menu anymore but they had four left). The dip came out in no time, still no drinks. A few minutes later, drinks arrive and then two minutes later our entrees arrived. We hadn't even had half of our appetizer. So, they just sat then plates down on the other end of the table to allow the bologna sandwich and burger to get cold. Fries were not crispy at all so we sent them back. Seemed like they wanted to turn the table as they got us out of there in 34 minutes. They had plenty of empty tables. For service like that and to pay $26 for a burger and fries, $95 for two drinks, an app, two sandwiches and one fry! Food tasted good but not sure we'll be back. read more

Don't be fooled by the exterior or the location in a strip mall. The inside of this restaurant is very chic. Once you are inside you will forget about the rest. Quite dark but hip and lively. Depending how busy the night, reservations may be slightly delayed. It can be a crowded in the foyer and around the bar if you are waiting for your table but it's bearable. Craft drink menu is good. Decent number of wines by the glass and a moderate but solid bottle selection as well. Strangely saw a gin and tonic served in a Collins glass which was bizarre, called into question the savvy of the bar. Drinks and wine can also be slow. Menu is good but odd. Plenty of apps but limited entree selection. Seems like there could be some more and varied entree options. That said, all the food was very good, 5 stars for sure. Service needs some work. It can be slow. Not the kitchen, the service. But it's friendly snd attentive. Big red flag: was told to keep my silverware when the appetizer plates were cleared. Fresh silverware should be the norm. This isn't Red Robin or Applebees. That needs to be fixed. Will try again. Hope menu expands and service improves. Good start but needs some more attention to succeed. read more
