Like one of the other reviewers said, this is not Hawaiian food. While I've never lived there, I have visited a few times! Where is the chicken katsu? The only thing semi close was the mac salad but it was the wrong noodles and no carrots! Even though it was the Hawaiian food I was craving I can't even give a good review because the food was pretty terrible. My husband chicken was tough, the vegetable were burnt! Ew. My pulled pork sandwich wasn't good at all and the pineapple was crap from a can. No to even mention both my husband and I felt sick all night after we ate here. We will not be back. read more

Very disappointed with our visit tonight. Tables were dirty and excessively wet. Ice cubes were spilled under one table. Food on the floor under another table. After requesting the table be cleaned I was told it had already been done. Certainly Not very well. So I asked for some paper towels so I could clean a table myself. I would rate zero stars. Probably won't be back as the attitude of the workers and cleanliness of the restaurant was unacceptable. read more

I've been here twice now. My good friend told me about it as it is sort of her go-to place. The food isn't mind blowing, but it is what it is and it's good. The bowls are kind of cool and I like being able to pick and choose what goes in. It's pretty fast, it's friendly and I can get in and out which is what I like. If you were already needing food in your system 20 minutes ago, chances are this is the place for you to get you your fix and have you on your way again. Fire Island Grill is always so fresh, and delicious. Their prices are decent and the food is fast. They have some great sauces, my favorite is the fire teriyaki and the peanut sauce (not sure of the exact names). They're both so good. I really like this place because the couple of times that I've been there I've been helped by the owner himself. The food is pretty good and different, considering that there aren't many choices beyond american-asian-mexican food for lunch in palmdale. Love the food here! The bowls are great and so are the steak and pulled pork sandwiches. The guy who works there is always friendly, smiling, and in a great mood. The only reason for four stars instead of five, is the two younger girls who work there. They're snotty and rude everytime I go in (which is pretty frequently), and will cut me off only to re-ask the question I was trying to answer. I don't understand how you can be so unhappy to do the job you're being paid to do. I tip everytime the guy works, but never when either of the two girls are working. read more

BLOWN AWAY DELICIOUS. It was my first time here and I had a discount card from my church that had this place on it. Buy a bowl and get one free so I decided to try it. I got a rice bowl with Pineapple flavored chicken and was so surprised by how fresh and big the plate was. My friend got half steak and chicken, also comes with yummy grilled veggies. The food is great, but apperantly there's a glitch on their website if you order for delivery. They don't deliver it's it's under $25.00 " no where on the website does it say that. They don't call you to tell you that. Instead you get a confirmation telling you what time your food will arirve. As I patiently waited for my food I finally called and ended up picking up my food almost 2 hours after I ordered it. Someone should fix that "glitch". I lowered it down to a 2 after they got my order wrong. read more

GREAT food but the meat portions have gone down ridiculously and they want to charge more to have less rice and more veggies....So I feel like it's getting a bowl of rice mostly. I like their chicken bowls ($5.49 as of this review) better than Flame Broiler's and Yoshinoya's. They stand out to me above the aforementioned places because they have different rice options, a variety of sauces (of which the Fire Island Teriyaki is my favorite), and they give a large portion of fresh grilled veggies. Overall they taste fresher and healthier and the sauces add a different flair. I'm excited to try more options on their menu but it's hard to decide because I enjoy their chicken rice bowls so much! read more

We eat here about 6 to 8 times per month, at least, and the food, service, and pricing are awesome! Generous portion sizes and just great tasting food......easily my favorite restaurant in town when you consider the value, service, speed of service, and quality of food. Service was fast and friendly. They were busy but the server was willing to help with coupon I received via email. The food was fresh and very good. I wish they had an alternative to a sweet sauce on their bowls besides peanut sauce. The tables were not cleaned very well, sticky. read more

We've been coming here off and on for years. At first they were very welcoming with great customer service (they'd even say aloha when customers entered and give the kids a seashell) but a few years ago, the service became awful. Once in a while I try again and find the same horrible treatment. Today, again, my family was demanded to stand on the red circle very rudely, when I said we are together she said oh you're together? Okay. It only got worse from there since kids eat free on weekends and I had three with me, I asked, and she demanded that the girls were "not under 12" (they are 13). I gladly paid for the kids meals since they were over the limit but was refused the kids drink because the free drinks are "only for kids over 8". So whatever! Fine! Even though I paid for three kids MEALS. They treated my family as we were trying to cheat and the rules for free kids were difficult to find. I'm writing a review this time because I know I am not alone, hope one day the owners will realize how absolutely awful staff is and make a change. Until the , I'll pass. read more

the food is great but i ordered online yesterday and the wait time was 35-40 minutes. so i go in 30 minutes after i order and tell them i'm here for a pickup and the guy just says ok and helps like 4 other people. so we're stuck waiting another 35 minutes for our food that was already done and they didn't replace it even though it was their mistake so when we got our food it was cold. I love the Ranch Chicken Salad and their side of macaroni salad is unique and tasty. I agree that the service and food seem to be better when the owners are present. I've noticed the tables do usually sit dirty for awhile. I would recommend Fire Island Grill. I've had a better experience here than most other restaurants in the area. It's also priced well. Just left here and although I love their food and think the bowls are delicious I am turned off by an unsanitary worker today. After our bowls were made we waited for about 5 minutes before someone checked us out and in the time waiting we had two employees standing in front of us who did not say one word to us. Then I watched one of them count money and then place her hands into a hamburger bun bag and pull out a bun and place it in the warmer. She then walked over and took out pineapples and placed them on the grill. Money is gross and her hands should have been washed or at least she should have worn gloves. read more
