Both dishes were well prepared and good quality. The service was quick and friendly. The portions sizes were just ok and the price was reasonable. The chairs and the table were clean. Just ate here for lunch. Place was okay for me. I felt like everything was bland and needed more seasoning. The sauce made it taste great but you only get a small serving compared to the amount of food you get. I ordered an island bowl with noodles, veggies and chicken. Service: came at around 7:00 and there were very few people here already eating despite a full parking lot. went to the ordering station and ordered from what we believe is a new employer. the manager was training him throughout our order, but he seemed not to really understand basic cleanliness protocols (mixing serving spoons between meats and rice and vegetables, serving spoons were put in one congregated area with unidentified liquid (presumably water) with food particles still atttached to them (cross contamination?). when we came the servers were not very busy, but as we were paying two people came in with mobile orders. the manager working the cash section told them that they have been busy (probably not) and have not started on their orders. we were also accidentally overcharged for a meal, but after talking to the service person (who at first denied it) it was straightened out. plates were also visibly dirty and there was a general unclean vibe for that resturaunt. food: we ordered an aloha sandwich and a surf and turf plate. for the surf and turf, the only thing that was made fresh was the shrimp (and that was presectioned out and premarinated in a fridge -- small portion). the rest (rice, veggies and beef) were all pre-made and served with one serving spoon (food was not fresh and was pretty cold). for the aloha sandwich, the patry buns were sitting somewhere on the preparation island - bread was not toasted or prepared in any way, just given to me the way it came in the package. the chicken breast (grilled) was super, super, super dry to the point that it was hard. i could finish that sandwich. overall, would not recommend coming here mainly because of the food and cleanliness of this resturaunt. it is definitely no more than a one or two start resturaunt. probably our worst dine in experience ever. read more

I went there because it's supposed to be healthy. I ordered the combo bowl without any sauce because I am trying to stay low carbohydrates and no sugar. The food is good I wish the portion sizes were larger, especially for people ordering vegetarian or tofu as it takes more to fill you up and The price is the same even though tofu is less expensive. I pass by fire island grill in palmdale all the time while on my way to the mall so I took my family in for a Sunday lunch. Now the place is small and homey and very clean. We were greeted with a smile and an Aloha right away. My mother and I both ordered the brown rice bowl with blacken shrimp. While my sister ordered a pull pork sandwich for herself and mac n cheese for her kids. Now the brown rice was a little hard but other then that good. Now I was disappointed at the kids meal. It was almost $4 but only came with a small bowl of mac n cheese (no drink not cook no veggies etc). Now the rice bowls were $6 and came with a lot if food so I'm not sure why the kids mac n cheese would be so much for so little. Other then that. Everything was ok. Now sure I'll go back. read more

I have given Fire Island Grill 5 stars because I love their food, and no, I don't work for them and I'm NOT married to any of the owners. I'm actually a teacher, and after a long commute home, it's nice to have a place to eat that is delicious and healthy. I enjoy their bowls, especially the chicken with pineapple teriyaki sauce. Other people I know also enjoy the shrimp and the pork as well, so I don't think there is a bad choice to be made. The people that work there are nice, and the owners are very helpful. In all the times I've visited, the owner always comes over to the table to see how the food is and ask if we are in need of anything. The atmosphere is great, and the soothing music adds to this establishments ambiance. Patio dining is also a nice option when the weather permits. I usually don't write reviews, but when I read the review that said they would tell everyone to avoid this place at all costs, I felt compelled to write one. I've never experienced the bad service and food that the reviewer stated. All I ask is that you try this restaurant and decide for yourself. I think it's great to have this place as a dining option in Palmdale, and I hope Fire Island continues to thrive, and can call Palmdale home for years to come. read more

Wow. Talk about great food, knowledgeable and friendly staff. My friend Ray works here and told me to visit. I stopped by and was blown away by how awesome the service was. For my first time I got a steak and rice bowl with the fire island sauce and veggies. Amazing! I brought one home for my husband who thoroughly enjoyed his meal. Simple healthy food at a great price. We eat here often as their weekend specials let kids eat free with adult entrees. Its fresh (except the shrimp-frozen) and generous portions. I would agree that the Fire Island sauce is spicey rather than HOT. If you are expecting authentic Haawiian food, you won't find it here, but it is tasty and a great value. We stopped in after being intrigued from driving by. I'm certainly glad we did! The restaurant itself is kind of a mix between the decor of Islands and the food preparation style of Chipotle. I'll explain: You have your choice of bowls, salads, burritos, and others. For each, you have your choice of five or six meats (and a veggie option), three different rices, and four or five different sauces. As you slide down the line, you get to watch your creation being built. I ended up with the Fire Island Bowl with the chicken/steak combo, brown rice, and Fire Island Teriyaki and Peanut sauce. I was talking with the guy at the register, presumably the owner, and commented on how I was sad we hadn't found it sooner. Upon commenting on how good the food sounded, he said, "you'll love it". And he was right! The food was so good and fresh! It definitely felt healthier than anything else we would have gotten for dinner that night. read more

I've been eating here since the place opened. after the first time I tried it me and my friends went there like 3-4 times a week for the first few months! This place is amazing! I love the simple menu. I've tried everything they have on the menu and it's all outstanding! The bowls are my favorite though! Everything is always so fresh and super tasty! You have to get the fire island coconut rice with veggies and steak with fire island sauce! they make all there own sauces in house and their fire island sauce is the best teriyaki sauce I've ever tried! They also have the best macaroni salad I've ever tried and it's so good with their bowls! I'm not the easiest person to please and this place has never once disappointed. NOT ONCE And ive eaten here for years! They've never messed up an order and you get the food fast every single time! I only come here for the Blazin Chicken Cesar Salad, it's soooooo good. BUT, the service is kind of trash. The workers are so busy having conversations in the back they're not paying attention to the order. First, i had asked for my salad dressings to be on the side, they tossed the salad and second I told them my order was for here, to eat in the restaurant, they come to the table with everything bagged up. i tell the girl the order was for her all she says is "oh sorry" and walks away. They don't clean the tables often either. Food will sit on tables for a very long time before someone gets around to cleaning it. read more
