Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. The layout is nice, each person has their own pot and you choose what to put in it. The KBBQ in my opinion was the best part. The meat was well seasoned and flavorful. The pot was just ok. We were in a large group and it does become a bit chaotic since they just brings everyone's things all together and you have to separate your stuff from others. Besides 7 ppl sharing one bbq grill was a bit small. Also if one person wants sushi, they still have to pay for all since it's a large group. Just be aware because it's a bit confusing. If you go in a large group everyone has to pay for the same thing no exceptions. Nice place but not sure if this is for me. read more

From the moment I walked in and heard BigBang playing (my favorite), I had a good feeling about this place. Lol It set the tone for such a fun experience. Went with a decent group of people and we were seated in the booth. I've been to many different hotpot places, and this was the first time I've felt frustrated before the food even came out. The ordering system/layout of the restaurant is frustrating, as you have to order your broth, meats, and all other food items for the hot pot through the server. At other places, it's much easier as everything but the meats are usually available for people to take as much as they want. Having to order multiple times through the server was frustrating because some food items (ex potatos, pumpkin, tomato) take longer to soften/cook fully, and we would only know the portion size once it came out. The only saving grace was that our server (didn't get his name, but the one with the eyebrow piercing!) was super friendly, patient, and accommodating. He worked with us to get all of the vegetables and meats ordered and checked in on us frequently. (Thank you for brightening our dining experience) The sauce section was also disappointing, as I've never seen a hotpot place without ponzu until I came here. There were a lot of oil-based and thicker, creamy dipping sauces but not a lot of refreshing or lighter sauce options. The meat and broth options were both great and overall, the food (hotpot and side sushi pieces) was tasty, but I don't see myself coming here to eat hotpot again. read more

Only did the KBBQ option for lunch on a weekday. I know this place is new & has stuff to work out but here's my take: Service - Staff is friendly. Food either comes out fast or slow, I guess it depends on what they have ready, pre-cut or prepared. They forgot two or three of our items... out of the two times we placed requests. We were seated quickly as it had multiple guests but wasn't too busy. Good at clearing empty dishes & drink refills. Food Availability - Two things we wanted were not available on the menu even though it was offered, limited banchan, & sushi was seldom stocked at the "bar". It took them 30 minutes to add mediocre sushi to the few options they had. Banchan options were limited too: jalapeños, kimchi, seaweed, & the last one I can't remember. Fruit options & two or three sweets available at the bar as well. Lots of sauce options with guidance/recommendations, that's a plus. The limited availability was surprising because it didn't seem busy - either maybe they were out of it or maybe couldn't make it at the moment. It seems they had a decent amount of wait staff but unsure about kitchen staff. Food quality - tap (not a hit) & miss. Grilled sausage came out cold, while crab wontons (delicious!) & veggie rolls came out pipping hot. Fried rice was GREASY but it had some great flavor. Calamari brought to grill tasted old. Other cuts of meat, we only had about three (due to them forgetting what we ordered), were okay. Skewers were pretty good, gyoza was mushy. I feel like the meat quality could be there but the grill seem to cook unevenly & was super slow, even though it was adjusted shortly after. Seaweed was a side I did get seconds on, it was delicious. It's a snazzy looking place, game area, "cool" looking environment, nice cushioned seating area. Decent price, but I don't know if it's worth it at the moment. We did see the reviews prior to visiting & we are aware they've been open for a short time. I don't feel like we've experienced all the same issues mentioned so I do feel like they are listening & working to improve. I went here during their soft opening with my husband and I wasn't really expecting much because I knew they were just testing everything out. I'm just happy there's a kbbq and hot pot on this side of town so for all those people who are hating on this place, I think it's best to give them more critical feedback rather than hate. We want them to stay here, but just improve their service. With that being said, yes, the wait staff and the hosts are very young and could use some more training. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by a nice young man and he explained the concept of the restaurant, which was nice. It's good for those who've never been to a kbbq/hot pot spot. The place is massive! Bigger than what it looks like on the outside and it was clean. There were two sides. The side on the left had some arcade games and a bar/lounge area where people can wait. The right side was more restaurant and not as bright. Towards the front is the kitchen. There were cute little Bella cat robots roaming around, taking food to the respective tables. I was excited because we were able to get seated immediately, but the manager then told the hosts that the section they sat us in was actually closed. So they asked us politely and apologetically to go to the waiting area. The hostess looked very nervous and unsure of herself. So I think she just needs to build up her confidence and she'll be great. I've worked as a hostess before at a Japanese restaurant in CA and we always knew prior to opening which areas are open for seating and which were closed. Another thing I noticed was that there were a lot of hosts. I don't think it was necessary because it just looked like a bunch of young kids asking each other what to do. When we finally got seated, we were right next to the condiments/sushi/dessert bar. It was THE perfect spot. The one thing I found lacking was the usual sesame oil and salt that I would use to dip my brisket in. How do you not have that??? It's a staple in kbbq. They also didn't have brisket for kbbq. However, they did have brisket for the hot pot. Our server looked like she was underage and she also seemed very timid and shy. She was, in fact, under 21 so when my husband ordered a beer, she had to have someone else serve it to us. We only ordered kbbq, we didn't do hot pot that day. There was a small selection of meats for kbbq. It was just way too hot for hot pot, but there were items (frog legs, mushrooms, cabbage, etc.) on a refrigerated conveyor belt for hot pot that you can reach in and grab. The meat for the kbbq came by trolley on a track above the conveyor belt. It stops right in front of your table and you can grab it. This is a pretty cool feature because it minimizes the number of carts going around and potentially bumping into each other. It's a good use of vertical space. We ordered pretty much all the red meats. I loved the fact that it was fresh and not frozen meat. I've gone to a bunch of kbbq spots where the meat had icicles forming on them. Not this place. We ordered beef bulgogi, short rib, Hawaiian steak, beef steak. The Hawaiian steak was probably my favorite. Short rib was second, beef bulgogi and then beef steak. Beef steak would've been nice with some sesame oil and salt. Overall, it was a decent first experience during a soft opening. I believe this is the first Korean bbq and hot pot restaurant in FW so I was very excited to try this out. I went on a double date and let's just say we were very full when we left. Our server was great helping us out on what to order and recommendations. The hot pot in my opinion was not my favorite. It was kind of annoying to deal with and was really not that good. Overall, we had a decent experience, but I think there are some areas where a little extra customer education could really elevate things. When we first arrived, they just opened, WiFi was down and serve hadn't arrived no worries.... our server arrived advised WiFi was down had to take order by paper (this caused a delay our grill stuff didn't come for like 20 mins) however asked if we'd ever had hot pot before, and we said no. This seemed like a great opportunity for them to explain how it all works, but the guidance was very brief. We weren't told about the sauce bar, sushi, or dessert options, and we didn't get much direction on how to actually enjoy the meal. For first-timers, those little details really make a difference in the overall experience. We also ran into an issue with the burner at our table -- it kept shutting off for my spouse. He had to reset it twice and was told if it happened again, they'd need to get a manager. We weren't sure if this was a mechanical issue or if the burners are on some kind of timer, but it was a little distracting, especially since we were new and moving slowly while enjoying a day date. Once we got the hang of it, the hot pot and grill were fun, and the food itself was decent. That said, we probably would go again with friends who already know how to do hot pot, just to make it more enjoyable and less confusing. On our own, it felt a bit overwhelming without much guidance. Zero actual beef meat. There was baseball on the tvs and that was it, no music, no atmosphere better than a dentists office. We love to try everything once but honestly - I'd rather have gone to 5 guys and killed my stomach. My husband barely made it home without destroying a toilet. Thank god we have 3 bathrooms because we were both in them for over an hour. So unless you want to crap your brains out or need a colonoscopy the following day -- I do NOT recommend. It was AWFUL. My wife and I visit this location once or twice a week. The staff is super friendly and always willing to help out. Yes, you need to know what you're doing and it may take more than a single visit to discover your perfect combination. But if you put in the effort, you are afforded an experience that you can't really get anywhere else in the area. Our daughter loves the "robots", claw machines, and overall atmosphere. It even got her to try several new foods that she would NEVER attempt under any other circumstance. We came during the soft opening, and I'm sure the owners are going to try to work out the kinks that keep getting brought up in reviews. Every worker was friendly, but I think the servers definitely need to start their conversations with asking if the customer has been to a kbbq/hot pot restaurant before. I had not, so it was pretty confusing to me, and we had to ask how the process worked. It seemed chaotic at first, but here's a quick rundown: if you get hot pot, you pick a broth that comes in a pot that sits on a burner that you control. You order raw meats from the menu and then add veggies, rice cakes, mushrooms, noodles, etc from the refrigerated conveyor belt. These items aren't labeled, which would be very helpful, so feel free to be adventurous. If you choose kbbq, there are grilled skewers, or you can choose from a selection of raw meats that you grill yourself, on a grill that you do NOT control. The meats that come grilled have very little flavor, so make sure you visit the bar in the corner for all of the sauce options. I'd also recommend ordering double or even triple the meats for kbbq because the portions are relatively small. The grill has a piece of parchment that is oiled and it starts to burn after a while. You don't want to eat any meat that has burnt parchment on it, so just ask them to replace it as needed. Remember, this is a soft opening, so they need constructive criticism, not just venom. Try to be patient and enjoy yourself. read more
