I tried JK Jalisco's Kitchen this morning for breakfast. I was in the mood for a Mexican breakfast and decided to see what all the hype was about. The place is in the former Burger Town building and it's been remodeled nicely Spacious, bright and clean. Nothing extreme. My waitress was super nice and accommodating. She came straight over and got my coffee order. Right after my coffee was served she took my order of red chilaquiles, eggs, with asada. The order came out quickly. The asada was a whole piece of thin beef, charred on the grill. Tender enough. No seasoning. The chips were crispy and covered with just enough red sauce. The sauce was a bit bland. Needed some oregano, salt and ajo. The beans were the regular watery pinto beans. The waitress suggested I try a side of their house made salsa. She was so right, it really pumped up the flavor of the food. It needed it. Overall the food was midrange. I wasn't blown away....until I got the bill. $40 for my chilaqiles breakfast for one, with coffee. The addition of the asada to the dish was a $10 add on. The breakfast was good, but not that good. Breakfast has gotten to be an expensive meal to eat out these days, and JK is right there contributing to the inflation. Thanks to my super sweet waitress, but I don't think I'll be back. read more

Finally got to try this place. I had the chorizo breakfast burrito and the elote flan. The breakfast burrito was perfect! The hashbrowns were perfectly crispy and complemented the soft textures of the bean, egg and chorizo quite well. I also enjoyed the salsa, both red and green. The salsa was freshly made and had flavor, not watered down like some places. I was just going to take some flan home but Rosa brought it out and I had to take a bite (or two or three or four). The flan was creamy and soft, not eggy/rubbery like some can be, but what made this flan special was the sweet corn at the bottom! I am a fan of sweet corn soup and some sweet corn desserts from my culture (Vietnamese) so this wasn't strange at all, but nice and familiar. Went to this cute little restaurant on a Friday morning and it was busy but not extremely packed, we got seated right away. The staff was so friendly and inviting which made our whole experience feel great. I got the chilaquiles rojos with over hard eggs and it was delicious. It was not too spicy and the seasoning was just right! My husband and friend got the green chilaquiles and a breakfast burrito which were also delicious! I had a great experience at JK Jalisco Kitchen! I ordered the wings, and they were absolutely delicious! They came out hot, crispy on the outside, and juicy on the inside. The sauce had the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just the right amount of heat. The ranch paired perfectly with the wings, and the fresh carrots and celery were a nice addition. My parents and I went to try this place Wednesday morning since it was mid week we didn't have to wait at all to be seated. My dad had the green chilaquiles with eggs and beans they were crunchy not spicy at all but good flavor I only wish they were more generous with the cheese. My mom had the biscuits and gravy and those were really tasty too. I had the machaca (shredded beef) with eggs and beans they were good too. We also shared an order of the banana nut pancakes that were so yummy. They were light and fluffy but not too rich. She said " manager left already so they couldn't do discount." Next strawberry lemonade was $7 and was also not even listed clearly on menu. When they took our order, she should have specified that strawberry lemonade was seven dollars, and only came with one refill. She offered a drink and does not even say the price. Food was good and fresh however this place probably will not last with these prices. My friend purchased a kids meal which does not come with a drink, the drink costs just as much as the meal itself. I came back with high hopes after my first good experience. And I was actually sad I did not have a good 2nd experience. I came in ordered a burrito for dinner on their dinner menu. The server came up and was asking which burrito and said a breakfast burrito or the dinner one (supposedly came with two small ones) I said the dinner one. After hearing some bickering in the back about the burrito I ordered.i got it and My burrito was wrong, I gave it a chance. Tried it didn't like it. The server saw I was displeased and asked if anything was wrong. After I told her she said it was indeed the wrong burrito that "the chefs mistake". And handed us the check with everything on it. No offers to fix it, no money back. Nothing. We just paid since we both got o it of work and didn't wanna make it a big deal. As we left the thing that really made me write this review is that they were bickering and talking about my order and hearing the server saying "well they are already leaving". Unprofessional, lack of effort, and bad customer service. I'm really sad and disappointed that what I had high expectations for at first ultimately ended up disappointing me.( It was also only us and two other customers in the building) so they definitely were not overwhelmed. read more
