Not sure why the doors were open since it was pretty cold outside, so we had to sit towards the back of the restaurant. Great prices considering the portions which are pretty big. The Buffalo Fries are solid, the Buffalo sauce was just a bit too strong for me personally , but it wasn't spicy. Now since I'm mentioning the garlic noodles, I will say it was absolutely delicious. We are used to the awful service from workers when we dine in and pickup but usually it's the quality of wings we go back for. I had an amazing experience today at my late lunch early dinner at Firewings Downey. With so many options at the promenade in Downey, you can never go wrong with a restaurant that specializes in chicken; chicken wings, chicken sandwiches, buffalo style and they have a huge variety of beer that the other venues don't have. I was helped by a gentleman that was wearing glasses, and at first I didn't know who this person was because they are wearing casual clothes that do not match any of the uniforms that the staff is wearing. After ordering, the gentleman introduced himself as the manager. The food was very tasty. I got the chicken sandwich with an assortment of sides that the manager recommended, and overall with my experience from him talking to me, introducing me to some of the products, giving me a beer selection that pairs best with the food I ordered was above and beyond to me. Overall, the customer service was on point, I exceptionally liked the manager, how he took out of his time to go over the beer selection, and what he felt that I would like based off of the small conversation we had. The food quality the taste the portion everything was perfect.. The store itself was super clean. Every single window didn't have a streak on it. I usually love the Brea fire wings because of the garlic fries. However at this location the fries were soggy and had no seasoning. There was no garlic it was just sprinkled cheese on it. I talk to the "supervisor", who said it's chicken. Minutes later this supervisor is mopping the floor with smelly water. I asked to verify if this is mechanically separated chicken. He replied that he did not know. 20$ for 3 nuggets is not right. Five people and no one offered to supplement or refund. This place has a lot of potential but the employees aren't helping. The food is great the location is perfect however the wait time is incredibly long. We've been there before and after the movies and the restaurant is always dirty but the employees are happily in the back talking or on their phones. Fire wings, just not fire service. The girl gave attitude I'm assuming because I didn't tell her what sauce I wanted with my order right away. She didn't even respond after I said thank you twice (I thought maybe she didn't hear the first one). I was sat next to her friend who she was sure to be nice to and offered to refill his drink and made a weird comment to after she dropped off my food. The guy working with her also didn't seem to be in a great mood and let it show. And the third guy didn't seem helpful in terms of stepping in when it got busy and the girl was clearly overwhelmed by the amount of people she had to attend to. But they could really pick up their business If the ladies who work there would be friendlier, susceptible to catering to the customer i.e. when I asked the girl who worked there if the place had Wi-Fi she looked at me for a second and said, I don't know if we have Wi-Fi and if we do, I don't have a password and she turned around and walked away with attitude. Sorry about your very disorganized grand opening. I came last week and ordered. Cashier billed wrong and the wings were way over cooked. The owner was seating with his buddy on the bar like it was all under control. The music was crazy loud and just random boring music he was playing with his tablet after the football game. Fast forward to today my son came in with a buy one get one free coupon and I check his bank account they charged him almost $30 bucks for his two orders. How crazy is that if it's buy one get one free. I walk in to check why they billed so much and she didn't apply the coupon because she didn't see it she said. So then she says she fixed it and because it was buy one combo get one combo free she never gave my son his drinks and we drove away. He's only 14 and they still don't get it right for someone who is new to being a customer. So now we'll wait for his checking account to settle to see if they really did refund him the difference. The online menus is incorrect to what they acctually have at this location so I don't recommend ordering online. When I picked up my order and went home came to find the order was incorrect at the time of pick up none of the staff let me know that they didn't offer certain thing I ordered and sent me m with something different wasn't cool. I called the place about 5 times before they answered the first thing they said was that were about to close and I told them about the incorrect error. The manager stated that the menus online is incorrect. Then the owner if the place contacted me and said he could give me store credit but couldn't reverse payment due to placing the order online. The food here is amazing. Very good quality food and the service that they provide is amazing as well. I love being able to dine in and watch my favorite sport teams and events play and sometimes i'm able to converse with the workers and the conversations are always one to remember. I've been waiting months for this location to open after living next door to the San Bernardino Northpark location for over a year. Wings were portioned nicely, perfectly cooked, and had a good amount of sauce to them every time. I applaud that location and would give it 6/5 stars if I could. This place on the other hand has a been a major letdown for the 2nd time. I get wings half the size of my finger, extremely dry and hard! The Peanut better flavor never fails to come out dry and brittle here. Hoping this place can turn it around with the food quality by implementing some retraining. Disappointed, I've been to the Brea and Seal Beach locations which were really good, but the Downey spot let me down, ordered lemon pepper dry rub, flavor was not there, wings were not crispy, chewy skin same for the Louisiana rub. Garlic fries were old and over cooked, over saturated with oil, no garlic flavor. Ordered the fire wing sauce on the side and tasted like butter, chipotle tenders only tasted like BBQ sauce and full of breading. Won't be back, I'll stick to the other locations. read more

What's up my Yelp family! Well here I am with another food review on this new spot I visited today. So these fire wings is opened now and it's across from the 24 gym . I fast when I workout so after I left the gym I realized this place was open and had to try it out and so happy I did. I had the habanero wings and fries they were delicious also the staff is very friendly and the place had a nice vibe it was clean. I had a nice conversation with 2 of the staff there as they were going around asking costumers if they needed anything and feedback on food. Which I thought is always nice to see business practice this it let's me know they want to know what their costumers like , want and any improvements they may need to do to meet the needs of their costumers. I will definitely visit this spot more as I want to try all the flavors they have as they have many of them so costumers can choose from. I enjoy the visit the food the friendliness. I took a picture of my meal as I tent to forget to do sometimes . If you haven't tried this place out yet I encourage you to do so. Oh forgot to mention they also serve chicken sandwiches and salads by the way so you do have options . I was able to see what the checked sandwich looked as some costumers where enjoying it and it looked delicious pretty good size and the veggie on it looked fresh too.
