I opted for the peanut butter and garlic parm flavors. The peanut butter sounded like it could be weird, but MAN what a perfect flavor combination. My new favorite! The blue cheese was also perfect. Ordered wings and fries for pickup. Got the original Buffalo, garlic parm, and Korean Kick. The original Buffalo was perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. Unfortunately, the garlic parm were underseasoned. The Korean Kick should be called the Korean nudge. No kick! But the flavor is very solid regardless. The fries are very odd and not very good. I know it sounds like I didn't enjoy the place but I'll be going back to try other flavors as I found their classic buffalo flavor promising enough. Fire Wings is truly FIRE! We drove by this establishment many times and finally got to try it last weekend. With my party of 3, we had ordered the 40 wing combo and a large side of garlic fries. With the 40 pc combo, we were able to pick 4 different sauces. We chose Saigon Street, Dragon, Peking, and Thai Chili. 2 of the flavors were denoted with 1 fire (slightly spicy), but someone like me with a low spice tolerance was able to eat it still. They definitely did not skim on the size of the wings - they were a good size! We struggled to finish the 40 wings but they were all very tasty. Loving all of their different wings flavors - we tried the Saigon Street (the best one out of the ones we tried), garlic parmesan (solid), and the Malaysian curry rub (good but a little salty)! Fire Wings, I am a fan. I tell a lot of people to check out Fire Wings because I am a fan. Today my experience was actually really disappointing. We have had another bad experience here and this is the second. I spent $70 on 4 meals. A chicken salad that I didn't receive the croutons for (not that serious). A 10 piece bone in meal where I received ONE drumstick. All the wings were soooo small. Chicken Sandwich meal where the chicken was tiny compared to bun..... we have ordered this before and the chicken breast was so large we took half the sandwich home. Last meal was a 6 piece boneless and it was normal. As I sat here eating I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that I spent $70 on lunch let alone the portions compared to what I know Fire Wings is capable of. The cashier was friendly and said he would check on us to see if there was anything else we needed while we dined in. He didn't ask once. Your restrooms at this location could be better, I have come in plenty and they are never that clean and today they had no toilet paper. I am disappointed in the visit today and will probably not come back as soon as I typically would. read more

Usually when chili is in the name you get some spicy flavor. The Lemon pepper dry rub was good. Great new wings spot in Irvine!! Located where Bruxie's used to be on Culver/Walnut. They have a ton of wing flavors - my favorite ones were of course the Asian ones (Thai, Vietnamese, Korean), but the lemon pepper and traditional flavored wings were great too. The wings are pretty big and super crispy. Service was very helpful, and the vibe is great. I know this place has the potential to be good but on our visit there were too many inconsistencies that prevent this location receiving better than 2 stars. For starters the timing of the food prep caused the fries and the boneless wings to be cold by the time the bone in wings were ready. Boneless wings actually seemed like processed nuggets rather than actual wings deboned. The meat texture seemed processed. The sandwich filet was burnt, but ironically the cheese didn't melt. So it gave a mixed flavor of burnt breading and cold cheese. The bone in wings were the best part and tasted the freshest which seems reminiscent of what this restaurant is capable of. A couple weeks ago I got a reward for a free side - thought I'd use it but the online system was down. Try again today, still down. It's 2024, there's no excuse for that. We got classic Buffalo, classic teriyaki and the peanut butter flavor. Buffalo was really good. Teriyaki was just good. Peanut butter was worth trying but probably won't order next time. The restaurant is the old Irvine Bruxie location, sadly. Lost to the pandemic. We miss you, Bruxie!! The atmosphere is designed to make you feel like you walked into a garage with exposed high ceilings. It can be a bit noisy when there's an important male bonding event being streamed. But we take the food to go usually anyway. Which being me to the most important part of this review. The online ordering experience is abysmal. Some penny pincher decided to sign a contract with DoorDash. Why! The old online app had an issue with the salads where if you wanted to add chicken, you could choose to pay $$3.50 to add chicken OR pay $2.50 to add extra chicken to your garden salad order. Either way, you'd get the same amount of chicken. The staff and laughed about this bug for weeks. But now, in the DoorDash experience you can't even order salads for pickup ! What's with these establishments and their bottom of the barrel online ordering experience? Just because Amazon is forcing people back to the office doesn't mean people should be forced to wait in line at the restaurant to place their take out order! If the online ordering experience was tolerable I'd probably give FW a 4 star review. read more

This spot has 21 different sauces and dry rubs for their wings - the most I've ever seen. I tried their peanut butter, Thai chili, and Malaysian curry. The wings were so flavorful and meaty. The peanut butter reminded me of the peanut sauce served with satay at Thai spots, while the Thai chili leaned towards the sweeter side. Gave the new Fire Wings a try tonight for dinner. Got the 20 bone-in wings with zucchini sticks, jalapeño poppers and two orders of veggie sticks. Total $39. Price-wise, about the same price per wing as Wingstop. First time out, I wanted to try the wings without smothering them in sauces. Just got the bbq and Buffalo wings. Wings were fried just right and juicy, not overly cooked like Wingstop. Buffalo and bbq sauces were just right...not overly gooey. Zucchini sticks were good but a little mushy inside so probably frozen then fried. Jalapeño poppers were ok. A little too much cheese and not enough pepper inside. And you can't go wrong with the veggie sticks... large sticks of carrots and celery. Next time we will try a number of the different flavors they have and they have a good selection. read more
