This is my second time ordering DD from the Midtown location and I am disappointed once again. I love Fire Wings but the Midtown location is slacking. Both times my fries have showed up cold and soggy with a weird taste. Another review mentioned that they probably don't change their oil. I'm assuming that's why my fries tasted weird. Super delicious wings. If you get them naked and bone in, they are not breaded - great for those of us who can't do the bread. Nutrition Facts are clear (thank you!). So for whatever reason I have never like chicken. It is on a rare occasion in which I eat chicken. Recently I've been frequenting the bay area/Sacramento and I came across this place. Despite my hesitation I will say that for someone who does not eat chicken for two or three times that I've been to Sacramento I've stopped by this place and I've ordered Their food. It is amazing. They have a great variety of dipping sauces and also different flavors that you can add to your boneless wings. Ten times better than wing-stop. Everything is so much fresher, the chicken is crispy, the fries aren't mushy, the vegetables are super crisp/fresh. It's extremely hard to find a place that does dry rub wings correctly, but their lemon pepper wings are SPOT ON. All of their sides - notably their seasoned fries - are amazing as well. In a word: NOPE. I thought this place was consistently well liked/reviewed but our first food experience today was BAD. I had no idea this place was like KFC or other fast food caliber. Our order was to go so this review is based on a pick up of a "Nashville" chicken sandwich (nothing near), cole slaw, boneless wings, seasoned fries and garlic noodles. Fries were soggy and inedible upon pick up. The soda in the combination ended up being flat once i got home with it. The chicken and bun of the nashville sandwich looked really burnt and unappealing upon opening. But the garlic noodles were my greatest let down. I've read about garlic noodles at so many places and have always wanted to stuff my face with them. This was my first experience with them and, if this is what they typically are, EWWWWW. These noodles were like something that had sat in a buffet for hours - dry, chewy and not completely cooked. So disappointed overall. What's the hype with this place? Won't be back. read more

I love fire wings lemon pepper all flats is what I always order the only issue I have with them is one time a friend and I came in and we got 10 wings like we always do well when he got home he only had eight wings in his container he called to just let them know (he was not going to walk back up there for two wings) but then the lady who answered the phone accused him of lying and just became really nasty. Horrible customer service. Was there late night last weekend with a group of people. Everyone else got their food but my number was never called. We started snacking on what had been brought out already but were told we couldn't eat in the restaurant after 1 am. Which would be fine (annoying policy but not a big deal) except (1) every other table was eating and were not told anything and (2) we couldn't leave until we got my order. So we waited (and waited, and waited, at what is essentially a fast food restaurant) while our food got cold and the tables next to us ate their food and had a good time. Still no sign of my food (a single sandwich mind you). After asking multiple times for it the manager voided the transaction to refund my card. A worker then said our order was being rushed out. 15 minutes later we asked again and the manager said she'd cancelled the order so the food was cancelled too and told us to leave. My issue with this place is the service staff and the need to require you to provide your original credit card and freaking ID to pick up your wing order it seems ridiculous and way too much. If I walk in and say hi I'm here for my order I placed through your website and I give you my name and you look at my order and then ask for all this extra crap for a wing order seems crazy. It's unfortunate the lowest star is one. Went in today to pick my order up and had different treatment than others and my fiancé...After triple verifying that the card I used to place an order matches my ID (I understand that is their policy), I was also asked for my telephone number and verified that I placed the correct amount of wings, I was asked to go "wait outside" until the food is ready (I arrived two minutes before stated time) while another woman was allowed to remain in the store...Covid precautions or was it just the way I was presented? BTW, I had on sweats, beanie and Ugg's. Was very disappointed with the treatment and will not give them my hard earned money. Finally tried this place out. I have to say I shouldn't have waited so long. The inside of a good size with plenty of seating and decorate very modern. They have a ton of sauce choices along with sides. I ordered the 6 piece bone in bbq wings with garlic fries. My order took about 15 min. When they brought it out the smell hit me like a punch in the face. Took the food out and the wings were crispy and the sauce was amazing.
